But why not? How else can the good guys stop the bad guys. We have to divide up in teams and go at each other or else God will think we approve of the bad guys and then God will be mad at us. We have to war, a lot. Why else did God give us guns and swords if not to find the bad guys and stop them and take their women and stuff and make them worship the right God?

Plenty of people who "love" God have been massacred by his evil followers. Therefore, if he was able and willing to protect them and he didn't, he is malevolent.
Or, he doesn't exist, which is the more likely answer.
No religious wars? No Inquisitions? No corrupt predatory medical establishment. No slaughter of the native "savages"? No societies forced to meet in secret to hide from the religious authoritiea seeking to exterminate them and their radical "free-thinking" ideas? No Royal families propped up by the power of the church?
Get rid of religion, and fundamental religious zealotry, and you lose the most evil aspects of society; the Us vs Them battle.
