Trudeau: The federal government has invoked the Emergencies Act…We cannot allow illegal and dangerous activity to continue…We are not using the Emergencies Act to call in the military. We are not suspending fundamental rights, or overriding the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Trudeau: These blockades are illegal, and if you are still participating, the time to go home is now.
Trudeau: We are announcing that Canada will offer a loan of up to $500 million to the government of Ukraine…this is in addition to the $120 million loan offered earlier in January.

Freeland [Deputy Prime Minister]: We are broadening the scope of Canada's anti-money laundering and terrorist financing rules so that they cover crowdfunding platforms, and the payment service providers they use. These changes cover all forms of transactions, including digital assets such as cryptocurrencies.
Freeland [Deputy Prime Minister]: As of today,a bank or other financial services provider will be able to immediately freeze or suspend an account without a court order.
Freeland [Deputy Prime Minister]: If your truck is being used in these illegal blockades, your corporate accounts will be frozen. The insurance on your vehicle will be suspended.
