ECO DALFIN

It began with a seed planted in western Canada
That seed sprouted, stretching eastward across Saskatchewan to Manitoba
Its roots anchored deep into the hearts of Alberta and British Columbia, and outwards to the Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut
When it reached Ontario, it branched out
It Spread, it stretched; Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador
Its roots drove ever deeper, ever wider, out into the heart of the world
A tree with a strong foundation, but a tree needs leaves
Without them it simply dies back
And, in time, rots away, to leave no trace
For two years, fear has reigned supreme in Canada
feeding on divisiveness, on anger, and on hate
the antidote to fear is love and love begets leaves
It is time to reach out to our neighbours, to our friends, to our families
To embrace their fear, to envelop it, to smother it with compassion and joy,
to smother it with love.
Let us rain down Love on the roots, the trunk, the branches
So that buds may sprout into leaves
Only then can we rejoice under the canopy of freedom.
It’s time
Time for light to push back darkness
For love to replace fear
