Monday on Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom,” Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) continued to sound the alarm on special counsel John Durham filing a motion in federal court alleging that Hillary Clinton’s political allies paid a contractor to spy on Donald Trump as a sitting president and candidate.

Jordan, who said the day before that the spying was “worse than we thought,” highlighted that Durham’s filing also shows the Democrats’ “number one election lawyer” was involved in spying on Trump.

“What I do think is interesting is in that filing it talks about [Michael] Sussman who has been indicted and tech executive one speaking with another lawyer at Perkins Coie, which everyone believes is Marc Elias,” Jordan outlined. “Now, we all know Marc Elias is the Democrats’ go-to election guy. He worked at Perkins Coie. They’re the ones who helped finance and put together the now-famous dossier that they used on President Trump, but he is also the guy out there filing the actions against Republican redistricting efforts, and he’s part of the operation in North Carolina to try to keep one of my colleagues off the ballot.”

“So, this guy is involved in all those things, and now we learn he was involved in spying on the President of the United States,” he added. “I think that is a key takeaway. The Democrats’ key lawyer, their number one election lawyer, was involved in spying on the sitting President of the United States.”

I’m going back to my original premise. Barr came back to the Trump Admin as AG, because as he said when asked in Congressional hearings, “why do you want to come back and serve as Atty General?”: his answer was very clear: “To do the right thing!” My interpretation was he did not do the right thing the prior time he was Atty General.

Why this matters: Maybe just maybe, everyone in the prior Admin is on hiatus (thats my pipe dream). Because nothing makes sense about Barr. My intuition has always said his original answers at Congressional hearings were true and meaningful.

It’s a summary of Xi’s ruling over the past nine years,” Li Hengqing, a China expert at the Washington Institute for Information and Strategy, told the Chinese-language Epoch Times on Feb. 8.

“After 2018, we all said that there’s no force to stop Xi from taking a third term. Now, we can see that the situation isn’t simple, and it’s unclear whether he can obtain it,” Li added.

He emphasized: “The article circulated broadly inside and outside of China. Even several friends from mainland China forwarded it to me [in the past days]. … It shows that the CCP factions against Xi are fighting to stop Xi from continuing in office.”

Xi became Chinese leader in November 2012 at the rubber-stamp legislature’s 18th conference, and won his second term in October 2017 at the 19th conference. The previous Chinese constitution ruled that each leader could only take two terms, which would have seen Xi retire in 2022. The US, burdened by de facto tax boycotts by the rich and corporations, is sinking in debt, the highest in our history. It was exceeded only by the $3.13 trillion deficit for 2020. Total US national debt is over $30 trillion. Household debt grew by $1 trillion last year. The total debt balance in our government Ponzi scheme is now $1.4 trillion higher than it was at the end of 2019. Our wars are waged on borrowed money. The Watson Institute at Brown University estimates that interest payments on the military debt could be over $6.5 trillion by the 2050s. None of this debt is sustainable.

At the same time, the US is facing the ascendency of China, whose economy is projected to overtake the US economy by the end of the decade. Washington’s slew of desperate financial tricks – flooding the global market with new dollars and lowering interest rates to near zero – staved off major depressions after the 2000 dot.com crash, 9/11 and the 2008 global financial meltdown. The cheap interest rates led corporations and banks to borrow massively from the Federal Reserve, often to paper over shortfalls and bad investments. The result is that US businesses are deeper in debt than at any time in US history. Added to this morass is rising inflation, caused by businesses that have increased prices in a desperate effort to make up for lost revenue from supply chain shortages and rising shipping costs, the economic downturn and the slight wage increases triggered by the pandemic. This inflation has forced the Fed to curtail the growth of the money supply and raise interest rates, which then pushes corporations to further raise prices. The desperate measures to stave off an economic crisis are self-defeating. The bag of tricks is empty. Massive defaults on mortgages, student loans, credit cards, household debt, car debt and other loans in the United States is probably inevitable. With no short-term mechanisms left to paper over the disaster, it will usher in a prolonged depression.

Trump Really Was Spied On

Durham says techies linked to the Clinton campaign had access to White House and Trump Tower internet data.

Special Counsel John Durham continues to unravel the Trump-Russia “collusion” story, and his latest court disclosure contains startling information. According to a Friday court filing, the 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign effort to compile dirt on Donald Trump reached into protected White House communications.

The filing relates to Mr. Durham’s September indictment of Michael Sussmann, a lawyer who represented the Clinton campaign while he worked for the Perkins Coie law firm. Mr. Sussmann is accused of lying to the FBI at a September 2016 meeting when he presented documents claiming to show secret internet communications between the Trump Organization and Russia-based Alfa Bank. The indictment says Mr. Sussmann falsely told the FBI he was presenting this information solely as a good citizen—failing to disclose his ties to the Clinton campaign. (He has pleaded not guilty.)

The indictment revealed that Mr. Sussmann worked with “Tech Executive-1,” who has been identified as Rodney Joffe, formerly of Neustar Inc. The indictment says Mr. Joffe used his companies, as well as researchers at a U.S. university, to access internet data, which he used to gather information about Mr. Trump’s communications.

Mr. Durham says Mr. Joffe’s “goal” was to create an “inference” and “narrative” about Mr. Trump that would “please certain ‘VIPs,’ referring to individuals at [Perkins Coie] and the Clinton Campaign.”

The new shocker relates to the data Mr. Joffe and friends were mining. According to Friday’s filing, as early as July 2016 Mr. Joffe was “exploit[ing]” his “access to non-public and/or proprietary Internet data,” including “Internet traffic pertaining to . . . the Executive Office of the President of the United States (“EOP”).”

The filing explains that Mr. Joffe’s employer “had come to access and maintain dedicated servers for the EOP as part of a sensitive arrangement whereby it provided [internet services]” to the White House. Mr. Joffe’s team also was monitoring internet traffic related to Trump Tower, and Mr. Trump’s apartment on Central Park West.

White House communications are supposed to be secure, and the notion that any contractor—much less one with ties to a presidential campaign—could access them is alarming enough. The implication that the data was exploited for a political purpose is a scandal that requires investigation under oath.

The filing suggests the data collection continued into the Trump Presidency. Mr. Durham says that on Feb. 9, 2017, Mr. Sussmann met with a second federal agency (“Agency-2”) to provide “an updated set of allegations,” and that these “allegations relied, in part, on the purported [internet traffic] that [Mr. Joffe] and others had assembled pertaining to Trump Tower, Donald Trump’s New York City apartment building, the EOP” and a healthcare provider.
