>Ok…when was the last time we had…

>-true north spinning around HOURLY as evidenced by the Schumman data

Anon, True North is represented by the North Pole. It is the axis around which the earth rotates. Magnetic North is a function of the earth's magnetic field. It wanders.

>-major airlines saying their nav will be SCREWED when 5G lights up

The issue with C-Band radio altimeters and 5G is not expected to impact navigational systems, rather it could possibly interfere with electronic (radio or radar) altimeters which measure an aircraft's altitude when close to the ground on approach and departure.

>-USGS updating their true north data more than a year early due to north changes

Again, you are confusing Magnetic North - which has wandered since James Clark Ross pinpointed it on Boothia Peninsula in 1831 - and True North which is the geodetic or geographical North of our maps as well as the earth's axis of rotation. Magnetic North needs to be constantly updated. It wanders.

If you wish to continue this discussion I can provide sources. You should either do some valid research or lurk more.

>I would encourage you to look into the data…

Thank you. I do try to keep up. There's no telling when a magnetic reversal will occur. I've followed the data for many years and read many predictions. There have been a couple of very interesting solar cycles in the last few decades as well.
