Kind of demoralizing;

I spent all weekend having livestreams of Ottawa running on my second monitor. Witnessing first hand (second hand?) the atrocities committed by the RCMP.

But looking at my local news it's all Ukraine, not even a single mention of Canada.

Yeah I'm a first gen immigrant to Canada from Bulgaria, moved here when I was 4 with a single mother. Long story short, my biological father was/is an abusive alcoholic demon so my mother fled to the other side of the country to run away from him.

 

Anyways, my mother loves Canada and made sure I assimilated and followed the rules of law and traditions here because not only did my mother escape my dad but she also survived communism so she knew what she had here and didn't want to bring that garbage with her and reminded me constantly to appreciate what I had. There are so many stories like mine here in Canada and I love that they shared their stories with me as I carry them in my heart.

 

Canada deserves all those kind words, they've been so good to me personally and many other people, the kindness of Man is overwhelming. All those friendly Canadians you see on the livestreams are for real, they're like that off-camera too, just very resilient people even in harsh/stressful situations. I'll make the argument that Canadian humor is unmatched which is how we make it through. :D

 

Again, I can mainly speak for Canada, but I've travelled around the world a decent amount including the US and there are good people everywhere! God bless humanity.

Tennessee woman accused of raping at least 9 students; community shaken by allegations: report

 

Members of a Tennessee community expressed shock and outrage last week after a 38-year-old woman was accused of using vape pens and other enticements to lure local high school students into having sex with her, according to a report.

 

Melissa Blair, of Englewood, was arrested and facing charges of solicitation of a minor, 18 counts of statutory rape, four counts of human trafficking by patronizing prostitution, and forfeiture of personal property, WTVC-TV of Chattanooga, Tennessee, reported.

 

There were at least nine victims, who were age 14 to 17 at the time of the alleged crimes and attended the same high school, the station reported.

A Bronco Driver Got Arrested for Doing Donuts in an MLB Ballpark

 

Major League Baseball is in the middle of a lockout that is threatening to cancel the 2022 season. While that may be terrible news for baseball fans, it presents a huge opportunity if you are a Ford Bronco owner living near a ballpark with nowhere else to go off-road. One San Diego driver found themselves in that situation, and, for some reason, decided that their best option was to take their truck onto the field at downtown Petco Park.

 

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, that dream was short-lived. While the Bronco driver got onto the outfield and ripped enough donuts to leave a significant mark in the dirt behind him, park grounds crew quickly caught on to them. Crews walking around nearby mobilized quickly and blocked his exit with a forklift before the driver could realize they had been caught. An eyewitness account from someone in a nearby office building with a view of the stadium claims that the grounds crew then surrounded the truck, leading the driver to come out calmly and surrender his position in deep left field.

 

When police arrived later, they reportedly arrested the driver on felony vandalism. Even if this lockout ends and the baseball season starts on time, park grounds crews still have a few weeks to repair the dirt outfield before baseball would be played in Spring.

 

The Padres roster could use a power hitting left fielder, but baseball rules most likely consider a new Bronco to be illegal equipment.

I think you're referring to liberal arts and law schools but tech and trades schools are covered in Canada too. Getting 2-4 year schooling as an Electrician, plumber, carpenter which as apprenticeships included in the programs gives you a massive advantage. Always worth getting some sort of certificate and actually paying attention in class.
