Some people's self esteem is based on being seen as "right"… It makes them feel "smart" or well-informed…
But they really are not smart. So they seek to exploit situations in which EVERYONE appears to agree. And the mass media/propagandists exploit this.
When there is a critical narrative to establish, the media goes balls to the wall pushing that narrative and these dipshits then can think that EVERYONE knows this is correct, and they jump on the bandwagon.
"How can anyone question my judgment, when it is so plain-as-day that this narrative is true? EVERY voice is saying the same thing. It must be true. I am safe in this position. I am smart!"
And then along comes a person who questions that narrative. Might even have some irritating facts that call it all into question…
