Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Wenbin reiterated his call to take seriously the legitimate security concerns of all sides, including Russia, during Monday's daily briefing session in Beijing.
"China pays close attention to the changes in the situation in Ukraine and supports all efforts to ease the situation and resolve it politically. China has taken note of the statements of the parties concerned on the nuclear issue. I would like to stress once again that the legitimate security concerns of all countries should be taken seriously when it comes to European security issues. Under the circumstance of five consecutive rounds of NATO eastward expansion, Russia's legitimate security demands must be taken seriously and adequately addressed. All parties involved should maintain calm and restraint to avoid further escalation of the situation," warned MOFA
