You vastly misunderestimate the normie need to fit in. It's always been about fitting in the with the cool kids, and that's all it's ever going to be. Media portrays gender-bending as cool and new normal. Masks are about protecting others. The real world isn't tv. Once they are disconnected from commercial media, they'll do what they always do, attempt to blend in and signal whatever is currently considered cool by the herd.
