>nuclear

I know something about this.

1) Nuclear is incredibly expensive including the cost of the plants and running the plants

2) Nuclear is incredibly dangerous. The industry's own data is that we currently have a 1/100 chance every year of there being an earthquake near to any one of the 100 nuclear plants that could cause a core meltdown event

3) If the nuclear industry had to buy insurance on the open market that would cover the full risk of meltdown, they could not afford to operate. The US government provides that risk insurance free of charge.

4) They emit a constant stream of radioactive particles into the air. The air is completely open between highly radioactive elements and that air passes freely into the surrounding environment. The air is not checked, tested, and there are cancer clusters around plants
