PATRICK, Nev. (KOLO) - Nevada State Police are investigating a wrong-way crash that caused a major traffic backup on I-80 east of Sparks Thursday morning and injured two people.

It was reported around 6 a.m. March 10, 2022 in Patrick.

Four vehicles were involved in the crash. One person sustained critical injuries, according to troopers. Another person was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.

The crash snarled traffic for more than three hours while the scene was cleared.

Wrong-way driver hits semi on I-80 near Patrick

SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - Nevada State Police are investigating a crash along I-80 east of Sparks involving a wrong-way driver.

It was reported Friday, March 11, 2022 just before 7 a.m. near Patrick.

Nevada Highway Patrol said a white vehicle was traveling the wrong way and hit a semi truck. Minor injuries were reported.

The crash blocked westbound lanes and one eastbound lane.

This is the second crash in that area involving a wrong-way driver. On Thursday, a wrong-way driver was involved in a crash that sent two people to a hospital and snarled traffic along I-80 for hours.
