Russia Releases Alleged Captured Documents Before UN Special Council Meeting Exposing Evidence of US Military Biolabs in Ukraine

Documents Reveal US Department of Defense Was Funding Ukrainian Biolabs — Russia Releases List of Biological Agents Tested in US BioLabs in Ukraine, Including Salmonella and E. Coli

US officials have offered varying responses to Russia’s claims. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland, for example, told lawmakers on Tuesday that Ukraine does, in fact, have “biological research facilities” in the country.

According to Russian officials:

The Russian Defence Ministry continues to study materials on the implementation of military biological programs of the United States and its NATO allies on the territory of Ukraine.

Original documents and translations ➡️ https://disk.yandex.ru/d/62hsNB8kC7MXPQ

Russian officials released a preliminary report before the hearing today.

The information received from various sources confirms the leading role of the US Defence Threat Reduction Agency in financing and conducting military biological research on the territory of Ukraine.

Details of the UP-4 project became known, which was implemented with the participation of laboratories in Kiev, Kharkov and Odessa and was designed for the period up to 2020.

Its purpose was to study the possibility of the spread of particularly dangerous infections through migrating birds, including highly pathogenic H5N1 influenza, the mortality rate of which reaches 50 percent for humans, as well as Newcastle disease.

Due to the fact that Ukraine has a unique geographical location where transcontinental migration routes intersect, 145 biological species were studied within the framework of this project. At the same time, at least two species of migratory birds were identified, whose routes pass mainly through the territory of Russia. At the same time, information about migration routes passing through the countries of Eastern Europe was summarized.

Of all the methods developed in the United States to destabilize the epidemiological situation, this is one of the most reckless and irresponsible, since it does not allow to control the further development of the situation. This is confirmed by the course of the pandemic of a new coronavirus infection, the occurrence and features of which raise many questions.

In addition, the R-781 project is interesting, where bats are considered as carriers of potential biological weapons agents.

Among the priorities identified are the study of bacterial and viral pathogens that can be transmitted from bats to humans: pathogens of plague, leptospirosis, brucellosis, as well as coronaviruses and filoviruses.

It is noteworthy that the research is carried out in close proximity to the borders of Russia – in the areas of the Black Sea coast and the Caucasus.

The project is being implemented with the involvement of not only Ukrainian, but also Georgian biological laboratories controlled by the Pentagon in cooperation with the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and the US Geological Survey.

Biden: NATO-Russia Conflict Would Be "World War 3", Warns Kremlin Of "Severe Price" If Chemical Weapons Used

During his relatively brief Friday speech on the Russia-Ukraine war, President Biden called for an end to normal trade relations with Russia, clearing the way for increased import tariffs, and announced a ban on Russian-made vodka and caviar, as we detailed earlier.

But perhaps the most important part of the speech came when Biden once again pledged that the United States would not directly engage in conflict with Russia, as this scenario would lead to "World War III" between NATO and Russia - in the president's words.

"We’re going to continue to stand together with our allies in Europe and send an unmistakable message. We will defend every single inch of NATO territory with the full might of the united and galvanized NATO," Biden said after detailing some of the fresh anti-Russia sanctions.

"We will not fight a war against Russia in Ukraine. Direct conflict between NATO and Russia is World War III, something we must strive to prevent," he stressed.

And at a moment that 'false flag' accusations continue to fly between Russia, Ukraine, and the US - Biden was asked a question by a reporter in the press pool at the moment he wrapped up the televised address over what the US response would be in the event Russia launched a "chemical weapons attack".

"Would the U.S. have a military response if Putin does launch a chemical weapons attack?" the reporter questioned.

Russia to donate captured Western weapons to Donbass forces

Stinger and Javelin missiles will help the breakaway republics to defend themselves, Russian military said

Russia should arm its allies in the breakaway republics of Donetsk and Lugansk with weapons captured from the Ukrainian armed forces, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu suggested on Friday. The Donbass forces would put to good use the arms, including West-supplied missiles, the official told the Security Council of Russia.

“We have accumulated plenty of Ukrainian weapons, including tanks, armored vehicles, all kinds of small arms in large quantities, [and] artillery. We also have many Javelin and Stinger systems,” the minister reported. He named the US-made portable anti-aircraft and anti-tank missiles, which Washington and its allies airlifted to Kiev en masse ahead of the hostilities.

“There is a proposal to hand it over to the militias of the Lugansk and Donetsk republics so that they could more effectively defend themselves,” Shoigu said.

He also implied the rebels could benefit from advanced Russian-made weapons, including air defense and anti-tank systems. President Vladimir Putin approved the ideas, saying he will sign the relevant orders, if necessary.

Moscow attacked its neighbor in late February, following a seven-year standoff over Ukraine’s failure to implement the terms of the Minsk agreements, and Russia’s eventual recognition of the Donbass republics in Donetsk and Lugansk. The German- and French-brokered protocols had been designed to regularize the status of those regions within the Ukrainian state.

Russia has now demanded that Ukraine officially declare itself a neutral country that will never join the US-led NATO military bloc. Kiev insists the Russian offensive was completely unprovoked and has denied claims it was planning to retake the two republics by force.

Ukraine Contradicts Putin, Says "Zero Progress" In Ceasefire Talks

Update(11:56ET): Fresh statements by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba appear to directly contradict Vladimir Putin's earlier assessment of a "certain positive shift" in ceasefire talks with the Ukrainian delegation.

Speaking to Bloomberg, Kuleba cited "zero progress in talks" while questioning President Putin's narrative directly."Zero progress in talks… hard for me to understand what kind of progress President Putin is referring to," he said.

He further described that the multiple rounds of talks have thus fear been somewhat futile, as they "don't impact Russia's behavior on the ground." He further stressed that Zelensky's prior offer of Ukraine's "neutrality" on the NATO membership question "must come with security guarantees."

UK sanctions 386 Russian MPs over Ukraine war

London has followed the US and EU in sanctioning lawmakers who supported the recognition of Donetsk’s and Lugansk’s independence

The UK government imposed sanctions on 386 members of Russia’s State Duma on Friday, targeting all lawmakers who voted for recognizing the sovereignty of Ukraine’s breakaway republics, Lugansk and Donetsk. Moscow’s formal recognition of the two republics served as a “pretext” for the subsequent Russian offensive, the Foreign Office said.

“We’re targeting those complicit in Putin’s illegal invasion of Ukraine and those who support this barbaric war. We will not let up the pressure and will continue to tighten the screw on the Russian economy through sanctions,” Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said, announcing the sanctions package.

“Together with our allies, we stand firmly beside our Ukrainian friends. We will continue to support Ukraine with humanitarian aid, defensive weapons, and diplomatic work to isolate Russia internationally.”

The restrictions include travel bans and UK asset freezes for all the affected lawmakers, should they have bank accounts or property under London’s jurisdiction. It brings the number of UK-sanctioned Russian MPs to 400, or almost 90% of the State Duma’s total of 450 seats. The US and the EU have already placed restrictions on other Russian lawmakers, alongside severe sanctions on the country’s financial sector and its senior officials.

The sanctions were imposed in response to Moscow’s military operation against its neighbor launched in late February, which followed a seven-year standoff over Ukraine’s failure to implement the terms of the Minsk agreements, and Russia’s eventual recognition of the two Donbass republics. German- and French-brokered proposals had been designed to regularize the status of those regions within the Ukrainian state.

Russia Allows Chinese Banks To Buy Oil Without Letters Of Credit To Bypass Western Sanctions

One week ago, Shell quietly purchased Russian seaborne crude (at a record discount of $28.50) amid a self-imposed boycott by most other Western purchasers of Russian energy products, only to spark widespread populist outrage over its indirect funding of the Putin regime and prompting a vow from the largest European energy company to not purchase Russian crude any more. As a result, Moscow has found itself in the crippling position where despite carve outs for its oil exports (Europe has vocally refused to join the US ban of Russian energy exports), not a single western major is willing to buy Russian oil over fears of public backlash, while Chinese banks are reportedly on the fence when it comes to providing letters of credit to shippers seeking to purchase Russian oil, in the process freezing Russia's entire seaborne oil exporting industry.

So fast forward to today, when in hopes of short circuiting the Chinese quasi-ban, Russian oil giant Surgutneftegaz (Surgut) has allowed Chinese buyers to receive oil without providing guarantees known as letters of credit (LC) in order to bypass Western sanctions, Reuters reported citing three people with knowledge of the matter said.

A letter of credit, which allows 30 days for payment and is backed by a bank, is seen as the strongest guarantee for both sides.

The change in terms will allow Surgutneftegaz - which will now face a direct monetary risk that "something might happen" to the uninsured cargo but since it has no other choices it will gladly take it - to continue to sell ESPO Blend crude from the port of Kozmino in Russia's Far East to China, the world's top oil importer. As a reminder, Russian ESPO crude exports - of around 750,000 barrels per day in normal times - provide China's biggest source of spot crude.

While China has repeatedly voiced opposition to the sanctions, calling them ineffective and insisting it will maintain normal economic and trade exchanges with Russia, Bloomberg recently reported that Chinese state banks had restricted purchases of Russian commodities and stopped issuing U.S. dollar-denominated letters of credit for purchases of physical Russian commodities ready for export, perhaps out of fear of being seen as violating western sanctions.

To get round the restrictions, Chinese companies are using open accounts that allow the customer to buy goods on a deferred payment basis, with a requirement to pay in full up to three days after the cargo is loaded. It was not immediately clear which banks were involved.

Reuters also noted that payment in U.S. dollars was still possible during a grace period until June for the implementation of U.S. sanctions on Russia's access to the SWIFT international payment system. It added that arrangements were also being worked out with buyers of Russian Urals crude.

Since late February, Surgutneftegaz has failed to award most of the spot tenders for March-loading Urals as potential buyers did not bid after banks halted the issuance of LCs for Russian oil.

Iran Nuclear Talks Abruptly Suspended - Russia Slams As "Dirty Misrepresentations" That It Sabotaged Deal

It was a mere two weeks ago that optimism for world powers reaching a restored nuclear deal in Vienna was at its highest, with especially European officials declaring a deal was imminent and within sight. But it now appears the at this point two week long war in Ukraine has upended that prior optimism as talks fall apart at the very moment it was thought they were at their conclusion.

"World powers and Iran suspended their efforts to revive the 2015 nuclear accord, reigniting a crisis that’s set to roil already surging oil markets and potentially plunge the energy-exporting Persian Gulf into a new cycle of violence," Bloomberg begins of its latest reporting on Friday. EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell confirmed what he dubbed a "pause" in negotiations with a tweet, due to "external factors".

IRAN CHIEF NUCLEAR NEGOTIATOR LEAVES VIENNA AS TALKS PAUSED -IRNA

And The Wall Street Journal writes, "The Iran nuclear talks broke off Friday with no agreement, imperiling negotiations… After weeks of round-the-clock negotiations in Vienna, the breakoff in talks significantly raises the prospect that efforts to revive the 2015 nuclear deal may fail."

Things began to break down when over the weekend Russia introduced its last-minute demand for "guarantees" that Ukraine-related sanctions arising from the invasion which began on Feb.24 wouldn't impact its trade partnership with Iran.

"We have asked for a written guarantee…that the current process triggered by the United States does not in any way damage our right to free and full trade, economic and investment cooperation and military-technical cooperation with the Islamic Republic," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Saturday for the first time.

Some Western pundits accused the Russians - as one diplomat put it to the WSJ - of a likely "play to try to carve a huge hole out of the overall Ukraine sanctions."

Democrats block bill that would restart Keystone pipeline, boost US energy production

House Democrats this week blocked a motion to consider a Republican bill that would reauthorize construction of the TransCanada Keystone pipeline and restart the federal oil leasing program, among other things, in an effort to boost domestic energy production amid the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the Daily Caller reported.

The legislation — called the American Energy Independence from Russia Act — was introduced in the House by Energy and Commerce Committee ranking member Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.) and Natural Resources Committee ranking member Rep. Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.) on Feb. 28. The bicameral bill was also introduced in the Senate by Sen. John Hoeven (R-N.D.) on March 3.

It comes at a time when gas prices are skyrocketing in the U.S. due to private-sector boycotts and a public-sector embargo on imports of Russian oil in response to the country's invasion of Ukraine. The global energy supply disruption has exposed the West's reliance on Russian energy sources and thus renewed calls to bolster American energy independence.

Republicans have argued for years that the U.S. should seek energy independence as a matter of national security, and the current conflict with Russia has undoubtedly served to strengthen the argument.

Yet, according to the Daily Caller, on Wednesday evening, 219 Democrats in the House voted down a motion to consider the legislation. The Epoch Times reported that a motion to consider the bill was also shot down by Democrats on March 1.

The legislation would immediately reauthorize the construction of the Keystone pipeline from Canada to Montana and restart oil and gas leasing on federal lands and waters, both of which were suspended by the Biden administration last year.

It would also require the Biden administration to submit an energy security plan to Congress within 30 days that would grow America’s oil and natural gas production to offset Russian imports.

In a joint statement to introduce the legislation, Reps. McMorris Rodgers and Westerman said, "Putin and Russia’s economy are dependent upon dominating energy production and exporting to other nations. He gains power by doing so, and it’s what funds his military and aggressive behavior. To counter Putin, our bill flips the switch to promote American energy jobs, production, and exports."

The president was torched on social media this week after he begged foreign despots and dictators to increase their oil production in response to the global energy crisis rather than unleashing America's energy resources.

In a floor speech in support of the bill Wednesday, Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw (Texas) slammed President Joe Biden for his energy policies.

"This week our president — our American president — asked Venezuela and Saudi Arabia to increase oil production, asked them to boost their output so that American consumers wouldn’t see a spike in gas prices," Crenshaw said.

He added, "Surely, [Biden] knows we can also boost domestic production right here at home. Surely he knows that domestic production supports American jobs, and surely he knows that domestic production is cleaner, by far, than foreign production."

Democrat Mayor Tells Young Children to 'Slide Into' Her DMs

Stacy Phillips, who currently serves as Mayor Pro Tem of Huntersville, NC, told children to “slide into” her DMs if they live in a “don’t say gay state.” After backlash, Phillips deleted the tweet and locked her Twitter account.

“If you’re a kid living in a ‘DontSayGay’ state and feel like you don’t have an adult to talk to, I got you,” Phillips wrote. “You’re welcome to slide into my DMs to talk, to share, to express yourself confidently. It’d be an honor to be your auntie by blessing. You’re perfect just the way you are.”

The tweet did not stay up long and was quickly panned by the popular “Libs of TikTok” account, which replied with “Ok groomer.”

The quickly deleted tweet was referencing Florida’s HB 1557 legislation, which bans the teaching of same-sex education to children in grades K-3. Democrats refer to the law as the “don’t say gay” bill, however, and have accused Florida Republicans of “discrimination.”

President Biden has called the parental rights bill “hateful”, as has White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki. “Why are Florida leaders deciding they need to discriminate against kids who are members of the LGBTQI+ community?” Psaki asked reporters on Wednesday. Psaki later questioned whether it was “meanness” that prompted Florida Republicans to ban the teaching of same-sex content to young children. “What prompts them to do that? Is it meanness? Is it wanting to make kids have more difficult times in school?”

Christina Pushaw, who currently serves as press secretary for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, pushed back at false claims from Democrats and referred to HB 1557 as “anti-grooming legislation,” in a tweet. “The bill that liberals inaccurately call ‘Don’t Say Gay’ would be more accurately described as an Anti-Grooming Bill,” Pushaw wrote in a Twitter thread. “The bill has nothing to do with LGBTQ people. You invented that angle when you falsely called it ‘Don’t say gay’ despite the fact that the word ‘gay’ isn’t in the bill. Now, why do you think it’s appropriate to teach 3-8 year olds about sex?”

Six Florida spring breakers overdose on fentanyl-laced cocaine

Six spring breakers at a Florida rental home overdosed on fentanyl-laced cocaine, leaving two in critical condition, authorities said Friday.

Paramedics responded to a short-term Airbnb rental home Thursday in Wilton Manors and found six people in cardiac arrest from a drug overdose. Two of the victims were listed in critical condition Friday, Wilton Manors police confirmed to The Post.

At least one of the victims – six men in their early 20s – had been treated and released, Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Chief Stephen Gollan told NBC Miami.

The group was in town to celebrate spring break. It’s unclear what college the men attend, according to the station.

“Narcan was deployed as quickly as possible,” Gollan told WPLG, referring to a drug that reverses the effects of opioid overdoses. “This is extremely alarming to us.”

Kamala Harris Warns Vladimir Putin from Romania: NATO ‘Prepared to Act’ if Russia Attacks

Vice President Kamala Harris warned Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday that NATO was united and willing to defend “every inch” of their territory.

“We take seriously and are prepared to act on the words we speak when we say, an attack against one is an attack against all,” Harris said during a press conference on Friday in Romania with President Klaus Iohannis.

Harris pointed to the 1000 member Stryker squadron deployed to the Eastern front of NATO territory to join 2,000 American troops, who were ready to defend NATO allies.

She also noted that to the “historic sanctions” enacted by the United States to level “serious consequences and accountability” on Russia for their actions.

Harris spoke about the success of the economic sanctions, noting Putin was experiencing “a free fall of the ruble,” a closed Russian stock market, and added, “their credit rating is now junk.”

She reminded Romanians they lived right next to Russia, telling reporters about where they were positioned on a map.

Harris said:

All you have to do is look at the map and see that where Romania exists geographically, and as is the case for our allies on the eastern flank, that there are potential vulnerabilities, which is why we say very clearly we will dedicate and have been especially enhancing over the last few weeks our support based on their current needs.

Harris also previewed future actions the United States was prepared to add to Russia’s economic pain.

“There will be more announcements about more action that we will take to ensure serious consequence for what is atrocious and outrageous conduct on behalf of the Russian people by Putin,” she said.

Harris said her trip to Romania and Poland was an effort to reinforce the Biden administration’s commitment to the NATO alliance, despite the economic pain felt by Americans at home.

“There is a price to stand with democracy, gotta stand with your friends … sometimes it’s difficult, often it ain’t easy, but that’s what the friendship is about based on shared values so that’s what we’re doing,” she said.

Minister Who Spearheaded Hungary’s Pro-Family Policies Elected President

The Hungarian National Assembly has elected former Family Minister Katalin Novák to become the country’s first-ever female head of state, with Novák herself announcing she would pursue a course of peacemaking in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Novák, 44, won the vote in the Hungarian parliament with 137 votes, while her rival, economist Péter Róna, received 51 votes.

Prior to the vote, Novák gave an impassioned speech condemning the recent Russian invasion of Hungary’s neighbour Ukraine, labelling the conflict, “a war launched by Russia, a war, which cannot be defended, or explained, at all.”

“Hungarians want peace. We, women, do not want to win the war, we want to win the peace. Because it is only in peace that one can prosper, build, plan, smile at one another. As Mother Teresa said: ‘Peace begins with a smile,'” Novak added.

Novak, who served as State Secretary for Family and Youth Affairs and then as the country’s first Family Minister from October 2020 to December of 2021, oversaw Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s extensive pro-family policies that have been credited with increasing the Hungarian birthrate.

“As long as we have our hands and free will, we cannot be subdued. This is the very basis of our sovereignty. And family is the cradle of sovereignty,” Novak said.

“I wish to be a good President of Hungary not despite, but rather because of, being a woman,” Novak stayed and added, “As a mother and as a wife I will strive for this peace, understanding and security. I also wish to stand for peace as president.”

Novák will take office on the 10th of May this year, over a month after Hungary’s parliamentary elections which are set to take place on April 2nd.

Peter Marki-Zay, the leader of the broad coalition of parties united against Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, criticised the candidacy of President-elect Novak, arguing she was “unfit” to be Hungarian president due to her close ties to Prime Minister Orbán.

Márki-Zay made headlines last month after a speech in the town of Fonyód in which he admitted that communists and fascists were represented in the opposition coalition. Nearly all recent polls have put Prime Minister Orban’s Fidesz leading the opposition parties, with a Median released earlier this month putting Fidesz six percentage points higher than the opposition.

According to their analysts, Russia remains a powerful adversary for the United States in certain fundamental sectors. To handle this opposition, the USA and their allies will have to pursue a joint long-term strategy which exploits Russia’s vulnerabilities. So Rand analyses the various means with which to unbalance Russia, indicating for each the probabilities of success, the benefits, the cost, and the risks for the USA.

Rand analysts estimate that Russia’s greatest vulnerability is that of its economy, due to its heavy dependency on oil and gas exports. The income from these exports can be reduced by strengthening sanctions and increasing the energy exports of the United States. The goal is to oblige Europe to diminish its importation of Russian natural gas, and replace it by liquefied natural gas transported by sea from other countries.

Another way of destabilising the Russian economy in the long run is to encourage the emigration of qualified personnel, particularly young Russians with a high level of education.

In the ideological and information sectors, it would be necessary to encourage internal contestation and at the same time, to undermine Russia’s image on the exterior, by excluding it from international forums and boycotting the international sporting events that it organises.

In the geopolitical sector, arming Ukraine would enable the USA to exploit the central point of Russia’s exterior vulnerability, but this would have to be carefully calculated in order to hold Russia under pressure without slipping into a major conflict, which it would win.

In the military sector, the USA could enjoy high benefits, with low costs and risks, by increasing the number of land-based troops from the NATO countries working in an anti-Russian function.

The USA can enjoy high probabilities of success and high benefits, with moderate risks, especially by investing mainly in strategic bombers and long-range attack missiles directed against Russia.

Leaving the INF Treaty and deploying in Europe new intermediate-range nuclear missiles pointed at Russia would lead to high probabilities of success, but would also present high risks.

By calibrating each option to gain the desired effect – conclude the Rand analysts – Russia would end up by paying the hardest price in a confrontation, but the USA would also have to invest huge resources, which would therefore no longer be available for other objectives. This is also prior warning of a coming major increase in USA/NATO military spending, to the disadvantage of social budgets.

This is the future that is planned out for us by the Rand Corporation, the most influential think tank of the Deep State – in other words the underground centre of real power gripped by the economic, financial, and military oligarchies – which determines the strategic choices not only of the USA, but all of the Western world.

The “options” set out by the plan are in reality no more than variants of the same war strategy, of which the price in sacrifices and risks is paid by us all.

Former UN Population Division Director: ‘Pause’ U.S. Population Growth to Address ‘Climate Emergency’

The time has come to halt America’s population growth, according to a demographic expert who claims such “stabilization” would help address the “climate emergency” with the United States serving as “an exemplary model for other countries to emulate.”

In an essay published in The Hill on Monday titled “After years of US population growth, it’s time for a pause,” former director of the United Nations Population Division Joseph Chamie argued that by curbing its population growth, America would have an easier time solving its major problems.

The essay begins by citing a 1972 report by the U.S. Commission on Population Growth and the American Future on the subject.

“In the long run, no substantial benefits will result from the further growth of America’s population,” it reads. “The gradual stabilization of the U.S. population through voluntary means would contribute significantly to America’s ability to solve its problems.”

Chamie, a consulting demographer and author of numerous publications on population issues, claims the early warning was not heeded.

“[R]ather than moving toward a gradual stabilization, as was clearly recommended, America’s population over the past 50 years has grown to 334 million, an increase of 123 million (about 60 percent) since 1972,” he writes, adding that the country’s population is expected to continue growing over the coming decades.

He then lists “climate change, environmental degradation, biodiversity loss, pollution and congestion” as factors that make population growth “among the serious challenges to human destiny in the 21st century.”

“Without a doubt, America’s population growth is a major factor affecting domestic demand for resources, including water, food and energy, and the worsening of the environment and climate change,” he writes.

Chamie then explains how “population stabilization” would help America deal with several major issues it faces.

“Stabilizing the population would reduce pressures on the environment, climate and the depletion of resources and gain time for America to find solutions to its pressing issues,” he argues.

“If the United States intends to address climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, etc., it must consider how its population affects each issue,” he adds.

According to Chamie, those who refuse to recognize the need to “stabilize the population” largely base their position on “profit, politics and power.”

“They give little attention to the consequences of population growth on the nation’s future,” he writes.

Those economists who contend that population growth fuels economic growth, as well as those who tout its contribution to the “national mood,” are guilty of dismissing its “negative consequences,” including concerns of “climate change and the environment,” which they ignore, Chamie suggests.

However, he claims, thousands of scientists around the world “take an opposing view.”

Chamber of Commerce: Fill 11.3M Open American Jobs with Foreign Workers

Executives at the United States Chamber of Commerce are urging President Joe Biden and Congress to double legal immigration levels so that the nation’s 11.3 million job openings can be filled by foreign workers rather than jobless Americans on the sidelines of the labor market.

This week, the Bureau of Labor Statistics revealed that employers across the U.S. had about 11.3 million job openings in the month of January. In February, there were 11.7 million Americans who were unemployed or out of the labor force altogether but who want full-time work.

Another 4.1 million Americans are underemployed, accepting part-time jobs but wanting full-time employment.

In a statement, the Chamber’s Executive Vice President, Neil Bradley, said lawmakers ought to prioritize imported, foreign workers for job openings — suggesting that there are more job openings than Americans looking for work.

“One reason for the shortfall is decreased legal immigration,” Bradley said in a statement. “It is past time for Congress to act to modernize our broken immigration system … we can’t get inflation under control, unclog our supply chains, or fully grow our economy and remain competitive unless we welcome more people into our country to fill these jobs.”

The Chamber, which lobbies on behalf of multinational corporations, consistently fights against tight labor markets which boost U.S. wages and tilts the economy toward employees over employers. A Pew Research Center survey this week found that 63 percent of employees who quit their jobs last year did so because the pay was too low — an indication of a flooded labor market.

Such flooded labor markets from mass legal immigration to the U.S. have had a devastating impact on the nation’s working and middle class, while redistributing billions in wealth to the highest earners, big businesses, real estate investors, and Wall Street, as well as driving capital out of small communities to the coasts.

While creating an economy that tilts in favor of employers, the economic model helped keep wages stagnant for decades. From 1979 to 2013, wage growth for the bottom 90 percent of Americans grew just 15 percent. Meanwhile, wage growth for the top one percent of Americans was nearly 140 percent higher.

Researchers have found that a flooded labor market can easily diminish job opportunities and wages for Americans.

One particular study by the Center for Immigration Studies’ Steven Camarota revealed that for every one percent increase in the immigrant portion of an American workers’ occupation, their weekly wages are cut by perhaps 0.5 percent. This means the average native-born American worker today has his weekly wages reduced by potentially 8.75 percent as more than 17 percent of the workforce is foreign-born.

Already, the U.S. gives out 1.2 million green cards to foreign nationals annually. In addition, about 1.5 million temporary work visas are rewarded to foreign nationals to take American jobs. Moreover, the U.S. saw more than two million border crossers and illegal aliens arrive at its southern border last year.

Legal immigration levels have driven the U.S. population to a record 331.9 million, including the largest foreign-born population in the nation’s history at 46.6 million.

Republican senators demand Biden send fighter jets to Ukraine: 'Enough talk. People are dying.'

A group of Republican Senators demanded that President Joe Biden follow through with a Polish plan to supply fighter jets to Ukraine as they try to fend off an invasion by Russia.

Sens. Mitt Romney of Utah and Joni Ernst of Iowa joined 40 other Republican senators who signed a letter calling on Biden to expedite the transfer of jets in order to "prevent a brutal and unlawful takeover of Ukraine."

The debacle began when the U.S. encouraged NATO allies to supply Ukraine with fighter jets and said that they were working with Poland to do just that. Poland surprised the U.S. with a plan to deliver a fleet of MIG-29 jets to the U.S. in the hopes they would deliver them to Ukraine. The Biden administration balked at the plan and then rejected the idea altogether.

“We need to be careful about every decision we make so that we aren’t making the potential for escalation worse,” explained Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby Wednesday.

Romney and Ernst decried the refusal in a media briefing Thursday.

"We had a hearing this morning with the Foreign Relations Committee. Chairman Menendez said the same thing, Senator Shaheen said the same thing. Democrats are saying the same thing: Send these MiGs. And the question is, why aren’t they being sent?" asked Romney.

The administration faced vociferous criticism from both sides of the aisle over the failure to orchestrate the handoff.

"Enough talk. People are dying. Send them the planes that they need. They say they need MiGs. People say, well maybe that’s not the ideal weapon for them. That is what they say they want. They are there. They have the eyes to determine what they want," Romney continued.

"They want MiGs," he concluded. "Get them the MiGs."

Here's Romney at the media briefing Thursday:

Where are the sanctions on Israel?

Israel continues it’s campaign of ethnic cleansing in Palestine.

No sanctions, no weapons being sent to Palestinians so they can defend themselves, no corporate pull-outs from Israel, no frozen bank accounts. All of this could he done to stop the slaughter.

Israel gets to murder, imprison Palestinians and destroy their homes to make way for illegal Israeli settlements yet the world is silent. The US, the EU act powerless and do nothing.

Here’s the latest footage, Israelis bulldozing Palestinian homes:

Similarly nothing said about the regular bombing of Yemen by US-backed Saudis and the US directly bombing Somalia.

Instead the West is literally arming neo-Nazis (and so is Israel!) in Ukraine but that’s hardly surprising for Nato given operation gladio and gladio 2.0.

CNN anchor asks Biden official: 'Why won't the US shoot down' Russian planes?

A Biden administration official wouldn't give a straight answer when asked why the U.S. won't "shoot down" Russian planes that are bombing civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.

On Thursday, CNN anchor Jim Sciutto asked State Department spokesman Ned Price to explain why the U.S. won't take military action against Russia, given that the government considers Russian military strikes against civilian targets like hospitals to be war crimes.

The question came up after Vice President Kamala Harris spoke at a joint press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda Thursday, during which Harris called Russia's actions "atrocities of unimaginable proportion."

She also said that Russia "absolutely" should be investigated for war crimes.

Afterwards, Price joined "CNN Newsroom with Poppy Harlow and Jim Sciutto" to discuss the vice president's comments, and he was asked if Russia had committed "war crimes."

"Lamentably, that's an apt description," Price said, adding that "we’re working with the international community, each group to create new mechanisms to ensure that we are holding Russia and will hold Russia accountable for any potential war crimes.”

Sciutto then asked why the U.S. won't take military action and "shoot down" the Russian planes attacking civilians.

Montana Takes Matters Into Own Hands, Restarts Dormant Oil Wells Amid Biden's Gas Price Explosion

In response to rapidly rising gas prices, the Montana Petroleum Association has announced that wells in the Bakken oil fields are officially going back online.

Inflation, regulations and a lack of additional oil resources — such as those that would have been supplied by the Keystone XL Pipeline, which was canceled by President Joe Biden on his first day in office — have led to rising gas prices in the states, experts say.

Even before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine last month, energy prices were rising. In response to Vladimir Putin’s offensive, much of the Western world has imposed sanctions on Russia, disrupting its exports of oil and further exacerbating the pain at the pump.

Alan Olson, executive director of the Montana Petroleum Association, told The Western Journal that up until this point, federal regulations have prevented many oil companies from producing oil.

Thanks to rising prices, oil producers can now cover that cost, making drilling worth it again.

According to KTVH-TV, the Bakken oil fields “become more stable between costs and profits” when the price of oil reaches roughly $80 per barrel, which are the prices America is beginning to see now.

However, as a company seeks to ramp up production, a lack of personnel and a shortage of supplies have become a major issue.

“When oil prices nose-dived due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Montana Petroleum Association says their member companies were forced to let go of employees. Now that the oil price is rising rapidly, it’s been a challenge to hire new employees due to record low unemployment numbers in the state,” KTVH reported.

In addition, Olson said that as producers began to increase production, federal regulations soon to be implemented by the Biden administration are creating a lot of unpredictability in the industry.

“There’s a lot of uncertainty that the industry is facing with upcoming new federal regulations,” he told The Western Journal. “You know, we had a lot of discussion over the methane fee that was part of the Build Back Better bill.

“I mean, that would have hammered the small producers. Actually, it would have hammered everybody.”

Hamstringing small producers with hefty regulations is a big deal, especially considering states like Montana “no longer have any of the major oil companies producing oil,” Olson explained.

“We’ve got a lot of very small, independent oil producers that, to meet up with some of the proposed new federal regulations, it’s going to leave them with a couple of choices,” he said.

“You either bite the bullet, spend the money, take it off your bottom line — which will cost jobs, which will also cause revenue to state and local government coffers — or you plug your wells and walk away from them.”

Many local and establishment news outlets have sought to fact-check the claim that the Biden administration’s policies — such as the Keystone XL Pipeline cancellation and an executive order that halted new oil and gas leases on public lands — have raised prices.

Newsweek and CNN, for example, have both pointed out that U.S. oil production is up over the past few years.

Leaked FBI Docs Reveal U.S. Govt. Funded Ukrainian Neo-Nazi Group That Orchestrated Charlottesville Riot To Destabilize The West And Stoke Racial Tension

Dailyveracity.com reports: This means that funding of the Azov Battalion specifically designed for countering Russian influence within Ukraine, indirectly helped train one of the most prominent groups prosecuted after the 2017 Charlottesville rally.

It is important to note that the Rise Above Movement was heavily targeted by the US government for their skirmishes with mostly white Antifa in Charlottesville, VA, and Berkeley, CA.

It appears to be the case that now, the US government indirectly sent them a lot of money.

The Stanford Center for International Security and Cooperation published a detailed report regarding the connections between U.S. extremist groups and ultra-nationalist Ukrainian neo-nazi groups such as the Azov Battalion.

RAM was hosted by Olena Semenyaka, head of the National Corps, the political wing of the Azov Battalion, a unit of the Ukrainian National Guard with neo-Nazi and white supremacist affiliations.[20] Semenyaka later stated that Rundo and his compatriots “came to learn our ways” and “showed interest in learning how to create youth forces in the ways Azov has.”[21] During their visit, the RAM members joined the Azov Battalion for sparring at the Reconquista Club, an mixed martial arts (MMA) club affiliated with the group.[22] Rundo entered an MMA competition for white supremacists from across Europe, supposedly the first American to take part in the history of the event.[23] While in Kiev, Rundo also got a tattoo of the Viking warrior logo of White Rex, a clothing label founded by Russian MMA fighter and Azov Battalion associate Denis Nikitin.[24] –CISAC

UN says it received ‘credible reports’ of cluster munitions by Russia in Ukraine

Biden warns of ‘severe’ consequences if Russia uses chemical weapons in Ukraine as it did in Syria; 40-mile long Russian convoy said to split up as it approaches Kyiv

The United Nations human rights office has received “credible reports” that Russian forces are using cluster munitions in Ukraine, including in populated areas which is prohibited under international humanitarian law, the UN political chief.

Undersecretary-General Rosemary DiCarlo tells a UN Security Council meeting that residential areas and civilian infrastructure are being shelled in Mariupol, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv, and “the utter devastation being visited on these cities is horrific.”

Most of the civilian casualties recorded by the UN human rights office — 564 killed and 982 injured as of Thursday — “have been caused by explosive weapons with a wide impact area, including heavy artillery and multi-launch rocket systems, and missile and air strikes,” she says.

“Indiscriminate attacks, including those using cluster munitions, which are of a nature to strike military objectives and civilians or civilian objects without distinction, are prohibited under international humanitarian law,” DiCarlo says. “Directing attacks against civilians and civilian objects, as well as so-called area bombardment in towns and villages, are also prohibited under international law and may amount to war crimes.”

As of Thursday, the UN World Health Organization has verified 26 attacks on health facilities, health workers, and ambulances, including the bombing of the Mariupol maternity hospital, which caused 12 deaths and 34 injuries, DiCarlo says.

All alleged violations of international humanitarian law must be investigated and those found responsible must be held accountable, she says.

DiCarlo stresses that “the need for negotiations to stop the war in Ukraine could not be more urgent.”
