So far, there have been no official reports on any casualties caused by the catastrophe.
A passenger plane crashed in South China on Monday, Chinese central TV suggested. According to preliminary reports, there were 133 people on board.
"A China Eastern Airlines Boeing 737 passenger plane carrying 133 people crashed in Teng County, Wuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, resulting in a forest fire", a report said.
Preliminary data suggested it was Flight MU5735 en route from Kunming to Guangzhou.
