Now I'm trying to think of the name of the movie anon watched recently, I think it was Moonfall. Explores the theory of a hollow moon being set up by 'the ancients' as a monitoring station and protection from an ancient AI.
Pretty fucking epic topic for a sci fi movie, I thought that one was verboten.

Similar to a paperback i read years ago in which they find an ancient dead astronaut, eventually resulted in the discovery that Earth was seeded by survivors of a conflict which destroyed the home planet in the asteroid belt.
TBH I have not read a sci fi book in so long. Miss those.
