The Club of Rome has published a plan to deliver the changes we need.

In 1972, the seminal work by The Club of Rome, “The Limits to Growth”, laid out the price of progress from socio-economic, financial to environmental tipping points.

These are predictions which hold true today.

The Club of Rome’s Planetary Emergency Plan provides a new compass for nations as they navigate through 2020 - a critical year for international policy action with key decisions due on [climate change], biodiversity, the oceans, the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, and more.

THE CLUB OF ROME CLIMATE EMERGENCY PLAN: A Collaborative Call for Climate Action

[The only possible response is emergency action that will transform human social, economic and financial systems.]

To put the situation into historical perspective, the Club of Rome alerted the world to the environmental and demographic challenges ahead as long as fifty years ago. The central message of The Limits to Growth – A Report to the Club of Romeiii published in 1972

Halt fossil fuel expansion and fossil fuel subsidies by 2020

Continue the doubling of wind and solar capacity every four years, and triple annual investments in renewable energy, energy efficiency and low-carbon technologies for high-emitting sectors before 2025.

[FEAR] Humanity currently faces systemic collapse on many fronts … and very much needs more [enlightened] leadership

NATO formed and promoted a major, new international organization, the Club of Rome, for the purpose of inventing, disseminating and cultivating various "post-industrial era" countercultural movements in every nation of the Atlantic alliance, i.e. the member states of NATO and the OECD (Organization of Economic Development and Cooperation).

The founders and principal officers of the Club of Rome are all senior NATO functionaries.

  1. Aurelio Peccei, the chairman and founder, a part owner of FIAT, chairman' of the Economic Committee of the Atlantic Institute.

  2. Alexander King, the co-founder, Director General of Scientific Affairs of the OECD.

Among the participants were Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski, then on the staff of the State Department Policy Planning Council, and Dr. Aurelio Peccei, the current head of the Club of Rome and during that time, the chairman of NATO's leading thinktank, the Economic Committee of the Atlantic Institute in Paris.

The Club of Rome and its financiers under the title of the German Marshall Fund were two highly-organized conspiratorial bodies operating under cover of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and that the majority of Club of Rome executives were drawn from NATO.

The Club of Rome formulated all of what NATO claimed as its policies and, through the activities of Committee of 300 member Lord Carrington, was able to split NATO into two factions, a political (left wing) power group and its former military alliance.

The Club of Rome is still one of the most important foreign policy arms of the Committee of 300—the other being the Bilderbergers. It was put together in 1968 from hard-core members of the original Morgenthau group on the basis of a telephone call made by the late [Aurellio Peccei] for a new and urgent drive to speed up the plans of the One World Government– now called the New World Order

Peccei's call was answered by the most subversive "future planners" drawn from the United States, France, Sweden, Britain, Switzerland and Japan that could be mustered.

The Club was one of the first institutions to voice concerns about the impact on the environment of unprecedented economic growth in the 20th century.

"Peccei and King were lonely prophets at a time of overwhelming optimism," who did much to push environmental issues on to the political agenda.

With the support of the Agnelli Foundation, they invited 30 European scientists, economists and industrialists to Rome to discuss global issues.
