"Putin" the tiger dies at Minnesota Zoo following cardiac failure during medical procedure

A tiger named Putin at the Minnesota Zoo has died after suffering cardiac failure during a medical procedure.

The zoo described the Wednesday procedure as “routine” but “despite heroic emergency efforts of veterinarians, animal health technicians, and zookeepers”, the 12-year-old Amur tiger didn’t survive.
