Re: PFAS contamination

Contact sts palm beach county (Florida) fire training headquarters was tested for PFAS few years back and confirmed contaminates existed. The fire department instructed employees to take any fire foam manufactured on/before year 2016 out of service and replace with 2017 and newer. The training grounds was built on top of an old landfill which may have impacted the contamination of surrounding area. The site also has a pond which had been utilized in training (draft site for fire engines to obtain water source) prior to the testing. Source believes the individuals performing the testing were EPA employees. Apparently many similar training grounds (fire/military) around the country have come back positive for the contaminants. I’ll see if I can obtain documents from source supporting this information.
