If you look at those ground cover squares, the sign tree appears set diagonal to their alignment, as well as the arches towers. I tried to guestimate the distance from Candy floss stall to Xgrill and cam see about 15 of those squares.

It’s hard to get my brain to convert the orientation of those squares to get a line from the Q camera to the Xmas gill. Not sure about seeing the XG banner. Sometimes I think I make out the colors on the circular stuffed animal stall. I almost think you could run a row of those ground squares across the plaza and run into one of the towers. Idk Take a real good look at the ground cover squares. Observe the round spots on them like they were dominos with 4 dots. Two dots on the top and two dots on the bottom. As I see it, the couple appear aligned ‘like’ they are coming out of that place where the BLUE ARROW is pointing from. Is that an entrance to that Bavarian place? See pic

And we think the WM pic was taken from the towers/arch (GREEN ARROW).

Of course, the selfie couple is only 1 and a half ground squares away from the sign tree to their left. So not near Bavarian place. Could be in front of one of the arch towers but again keeping the sign tree on their left.

My best orientation of the dominos is that, if you give them a vertical/horizontal orientation, they appear to be perpendicular to the BAVARIAN place. This orientation seems to be confirmed by the Garry Knight photo of XG which shows the dominoes reach the stand at a DIAGONAL angle.

I have drawn BLUE arrows to show my best rough guess of the dominos grid. GREEN arrow is the estimated alignment of the Q pic showing the ground squares. For the RED arrow orientation, the woman would enter the square (like chess) where the man is and they both would pivot just a bit so that the sign post is then on their right.

Don’t be pulled by the yellow ‘x’ in the cap. I should not have put that x there. It only confuses. The couple are most likely where the RED and GREEN arrows intersect. And THAT ‘x’ marks the spot (roughly). It’s where 1) the woman snaps a pic, then they enter the same square and 2) the second Q pic is taken.

CAVEAT: I hope that anons can pick out the differences between the different orientations being discussed here: a) ground cover vs b) selfie couple orientation, vs c) our Q pics camera orientations. I find myself confusing them.

So getting back to your original question, had to confirm direction of “dominos” the woman is standing on with all my previous discussion. But, it looks like XG could be somewhere over her shoulders. I think it is in that direction.

Well one possibility for absence of long shadow on our camera girl is that there is simply sufficient light near her to light the ground behind her. I almost think she had her back to the donut tower* so that the shop lights were lighting the ground where we should expect the same shadow as her friend.

*IIRC I believe one of the two towers served “chips n dips’ and the other served doughnuts. The one tower whose side we just catch a glance of in the WM pic is the chips tower.
