Kosovo Albanian indicted for 1999 war crimes
Prosecutors on Tuesday indicted an Albanian man for war crimes over his alleged participation in the killings of [13]0 people in Kosovo 23 years ago.
The special prosecutor’s office accused the resident of Belgrade, Serbia - identified only by the initials M.A. - of “war crimes against the civilian population,” according to a statement.
The prosecutor’s office said the Izbice massacre investigation continues because it is “major and complex case” involving other suspects.

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci was charged with ten counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity by an international tribunal in The Hague in the Netherlands. It charged Thaci and nine other men with “war crimes, including murder, enforced disappearance of persons, persecution, and torture.”
