Tsunami-sized BOOOOOM!
Ruble still dropping (strengthening against US Dollar). Almost back down to pre-sanctions value.

powerful foot odor
Strongest it's been in a month for each, but not in past 12 months for either.
> It's Official! Russia Central bank Announces Ruble Bound to Gold! 5000 Rubles per Gram
So if my math is correct, 31.1g in 1 troy oz (oz t.), meaning 155,500 Rubles buys 1oz t gold and @ 1 USD to 83.75 RUB, divide the 83.75 into 155,500 for $1,856.71 cost of gold, via purchasing Rubles to buy your gold.
Gold $1,919 right now, so cheaper to buy rubles to get your gold? (I've never done this stuff). But won't take much more Ruble strengthening against dollar for that to flip.
Lots of numeric connections can be made to today, not that THAT proves anything.
