Some Democrats have attempted to distance themselves from defunding police, but radical Democrats backed by Soros continue to push the Democrat issue.

EU leader asked for evidence Bucha massacre wasn’t staged – Zelensky

The Ukrainian president has refused to divulge who exactly the politician was

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has revealed that an EU member state’s leader called into question Kiev’s version of events surrounding the Bucha killings, asking for proof that the atrocities were not staged.

Speaking to German newspaper Bild on Friday, Zelensky described how a leading EU politician asked him for evidence proving that the Bucha massacre had not been staged. The remark came after the Bild journalist asked what the worst thing he had heard in recent days was. When the interviewer probed further, asking whether it was the head of state of an EU nation, Zelensky replied in the affirmative, though he refused to name the official.

Ukraine claims Russian troops committed atrocities against civilians in the town of Bucha northwest of Kiev before retreating last week. Russia has rejected the accusations, and claims Kiev manipulated evidence in what it calls a “provocation.”

Commenting on Berlin’s support for Kiev, the Ukrainian president lamented Germany’s apparent lack of enthusiasm for tougher sanctions against Russia.

“Some countries, and Germany is among them, are against an oil and gas embargo,” Zelensky said, adding, however, that he was content that the EU’s fifth round of sanctions “contains the coal and timber embargo.” He also accused Berlin of being overly cautious in its support for Kiev, refusing to provide the country with weapons for some time, and stressing that Ukraine would not become a NATO member state. But, according to Zelensky, “Germany’s rhetoric has changed” over time, despite the country being “conservative and cold.”

Asked if he was prepared to sit down with Russian President

Vladimir Putin and talk, Zelensky said, “today Ukraine has no way out other than to sit down at the negotiating table.” He added that “no one else in Russia has the power to stop this war,” as Putin is the only one who “decides when this war will end.”

The Russian and Ukrainian negotiating teams have been engaged in talks for weeks now, in both face-to-face and virtual meetings. While the two nations have apparently come close to an agreement on certain topics, such as Ukraine’s future neutral status, they still have not been able to find common ground on others. Last week, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Putin was ready to meet with his Ukrainian counterpart, but only after the negotiators had finalized a document.

Moscow attacked the neighboring state in late February, following Ukraine’s failure to implement the terms of the Minsk agreements signed in 2014, and Russia’s eventual recognition of the Donbass republics in Donetsk and Lugansk. The German and French brokered Minsk Protocol was designed to regularize the status of the regions within the Ukrainian state.

Russia has since demanded that Ukraine officially declare itself a neutral country that will never join the US-led NATO military bloc. Kiev insists the Russian offensive was completely unprovoked and has denied claims it was planning to retake the two republics by force.

State Supreme Court Judge: New York City Illegally Canceled Trump Contract

Former NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio attempted to terminate the Trump Organization’s contract to run the Ferry Point Golf Course.

He cited January 6th as the reason for the cancellation — saying that the golf course’s image was tarnished as a result.

Mayor Bill de Blasio today announced that the City of New York is taking steps to terminate three Trump Organization agreements with the City after last week’s deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

The Administration will be notifying the Trump Organization that the City will begin the process to cancel its agreements to operate the Central Park Carousel, Wollman and Lasker skating rinks, and Ferry Point Golf Course in accordance with the steps outlined in the contracts.

“The President incited a rebellion against the United States government that killed five people and threatened to derail the constitutional transfer of power,” said Mayor Bill de Blasio. “The City of New York will not be associated with those unforgivable acts in any shape, way or form, and we are immediately taking steps to terminate all Trump Organization contracts.”

A judge in New York just ruled that the contract was canceled illegally.

Eric Trump blasted De Blasio for canceling the contract, saying “De Blasio did this for his own political theater.”

A state Supreme Court judge ruled Friday that the city did not have the right to cancel Trump’s contract to run the Ferry Point Golf Course. Mayor Bill de Blasio had nixed the deal after the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot, arguing that Trump would not be able to attract golf tournaments.

In her decision and order filed on Friday, Justice Debra James said there was nothing in the contract that required a tournament — only that the city would share in any proceeds. That means either Trump gets to continue to run the course, or the city needs to pay him to leave. Trump’s son Eric said they’ll stay.

“The judge didn’t buy their nonsense and this is a well-reasoned and appropriate decision and we look forward to running the best golf course for years to come,” Eric Trump said.

Boris Johnson Makes Surprise Trip To War-Torn Ukraine For Zelensky Meeting

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson showed up in the Ukrainian capital Saturday, in a bold surprise visit made public for the first time in photographs posted to government accounts showing the face-to-face meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Zelensky's office confirmed on Facebook that he and Johnson met. "Right now Boris Johnson’s visit to Kiev began with a tet-a-tet meeting with President Zelensky. Great Britain is a leader in defense support of Ukraine. The leader in the anti-war coalition. Leader in sanctions on Russian aggressor," a statement said.

Zelensky in his own social media post revealing the meeting, called Johnson "one of the most principled opponents of the Russian invasion" and a "leader in sanctions pressure."

And the UK's embassy in Ukraine posted an image of the two leaders holding discussions in a small room with the word "surprise".

The British prime minister's office said Johnson went there in person, even as a major war is happening, in order to show "solidarity with the Ukrainian people." The statement further said, "They will discuss the UK's long-term support to Ukraine and the PM will set out a new package of financial and military aid."

The day prior, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Commission Vice President Josep Borrell Fontelles were inside Ukraine to meet with Zelensky, and even had a battlefield tour of sorts.

GOP Rep Urges Arizonians To ‘HELP STOP SEXUAL GROOMING IN ARIZONA SCHOOLS’

Arizona Republican Rep. Jake Hoffman is urging the public to pressure lawmakers to advance HB 2495, a bill aimed at barring public schools from indoctrinating and grooming students with “sexually explicit materials” at taxpayer expense.

Hoffman crafted the measure after discovering books and other materials at school laden with sexual activity. Arizona congressman even uncovered drawings of children having sex or masturbating.

HB 2495 would ban schools from disseminating any materials that depict “sexual conduct” including “acts of masturbation, homosexuality (and) sexual intercourse.”

While the measure exempts “classical literature” and “early American literature,” it requires parents to provide approval allowing their children to read the materials that contain sexually explicit content.

Hoffman issued a statement calling on Americans to “HELP STOP SEXUAL GROOMING IN ARIZONA SCHOOLS” by sending an email “to every member of the Arizona Senate in less than 60 seconds” via the website Align Act.

“Hofstra University researcher Charol Shakeshaft studied the prevalence of sexual abuse in the public school system. Here is what she found: “The physical sexual abuse of students in schools is likely more than 100 times the abuse by priests,’” the Arizona congressman warned. “WE CANNOT ALLOW THE SEXUALIZATION AND SEXUAL GROOMING OF ARIZONA CHILDREN.”

The legislation is currently awaiting a vote by Arizona Senate. It would then head to Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey for his signature.

Democrats and LBGTQ activists are lobbying to scrap HB 2495 arguing that the bill prohibits teachers from promoting homosexuality as a positive lifestyle.

“What this bill does is once again try and erase the LGBTQ community from Arizona public schools under the guise of protecting children,” Rep. Daniel Herandez, D-Tucson warned in a scathing rebuke of the measure on Tuesday. “Children keep getting used as footballs for politics.

“This is not an issue of homosexuality,” Hoffman shot back. “This is an issue of should sexually explicit materials which have been well documented in terms of medical science has an adverse effect on children, and whether or not it should be shown in K-12 classrooms.”

Controversy surrounding HB 2495 comes amid a concentrated effort from the Biden administration to promote transgenderism in the classrooms.

NATO Agrees To Provide 'New & Heavier' Weapons To Ukraine After Czech Tanks Arrive

During a meeting at NATO headquarters in Brussels among the alliance's foreign ministers on Thursday, the US and UK led the way in forging a fresh agreement to give Ukraine "new and heavier" weapons, at a moment a limited number of Czech-provided Soviet-designed T-72M tanks have already been transferred to Kiev - reportedly with the quiet assistance of Washington.

"There was support for countries to supply new and heavier equipment to Ukraine, so that they can respond to these new threats from Russia," British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said at a press briefing.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed that the US is "looking across the board right now, not only at what we have provided … and whether there are additional systems that would make a difference." The latest cutting edge weaponry the Pentagon has transferred to Ukraine has included Switchblade drones, which are low-cost Kamikaze drones capable of destroying armored vehicles and tanks in the more advanced version of the system.

However, Blinken hasn't specified which "heavier" weapons the US would be willing to send. So far any efforts to transfer jets or tanks has been met with inter-alliance resistance given it would likely put NATO and Russia on a more direct collision course. This as on Friday Slovakia announced it has "donated" an S-300 air defense system to Ukraine.

Weapon shipments have also so far included Javelin ant-tank and Stinger anti-aircraft missiles. But the Ukrainian government has persistently lobbied for more, often with emotional language - such as Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba's appeal to NATO this week: "The more weapons we get and the sooner they arrive in Ukraine, the more human lives will be saved," he said.

Ahead of the foreign ministers meeting, Kubela met with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels, stating on Twitter that he had urged the "three most important things" for Ukrainians are "weapons, weapons, weapons."

So far Brussels appears to have responded positively. the UK's Truss has signaled that NATO is looking to go beyond the older Soviet-designed systems currently being given to Ukraine's military. This after all is what its forces are trained on and are efficient in. "We agreed to help Ukrainian forces move from their Soviet-era equipment to NATO standard equipment, on a bilateral basis," she said.

FM Kuleba has responded by saying he's "cautiously optimistic" NATO will meet the demands for more. "I was very specific about the requests and the timeline that they should be accommodated. I will be looking forward to the follow-up from allies," he said.

Ukraine to use POWs for false flag op – Russia

Moscow claims Kiev will stage an event in Irpin to manipulate Western media

The Russian Defense Ministry claimed on Saturday that Ukraine will use the bodies of captured Russian soldiers to manipulate Western reporters in Irpin, a town near Kiev. Ukraine previously accused Moscow of killing hundreds of civilians in the area around the capital, which Russia denies.

Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said Kiev is “preparing another provocation with the goal of accusing Russia of mass killings of civilians.”

Konashenkov claimed that Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) officials are planning to take the bodies of people who “died from Ukrainian artillery” from a morgue to the basement of one of the buildings on the eastern outskirts of Irpin.

“The SBU will then stage the ‘neutralization’ of a ‘Russian reconnaissance unit’ at the Pushcha-Vodytsia forest, which will [according to Kiev] arrive in Irpin to ‘kill the witnesses of Russia’s war crimes.’”

The spokesman claimed that the Ukrainian forces will present the “bodies of captured Russian soldiers, who had been tortured and killed by nationalists” as “evidence” to the Western media.

Ukraine earlier accused Russian troops of killing more than 400 civilians in Bucha, also near the capital. EU officials and foreign reporters were shown what Kiev said were mass graves and bodies of people shot execution style. Moscow has denied any involvement in the deaths, insisting that the killings happened after its forces retreated from the area late last month.

Lockdowns, Not the Pandemic, Created Havoc

A recent study conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) surveyed thousands of high school students on the effects of the pandemic. “Since the beginning of the pandemic,” the study reports, “more than half of students found it more difficult to complete their schoolwork (66%) and experienced emotional abuse by a parent or other adult in their home (55%),” which correlated heavily with students who “experienced insecurity via parental job loss (29%), personal job loss (22%), and hunger (24%).”

A related CDC study, released the same day, examined the effects the pandemic has had on the mental health of high school students. It found that “during the 12 months before the survey, 44.2% experienced persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness, 19.9% had seriously considered attempting suicide, and 9.0% had attempted suicide.”

These findings should be no surprise. Only a few months into the pandemic, the CDC’s morbidity and mortality report surveyed people of all ages regarding substance abuse and suicidal thoughts, and young people showed the most dramatic increase compared with precovid surveys. This report was all but ignored, of course, as the demagogues in politics and the media predicted Armageddon if the world didn’t embrace their draconian isolation policies.

Now that the Chicken Littles have come home to roost, the real question is whether the findings of these studies are the consequence of the pandemic or the response to it. One CDC representative, speaking of the studies, provided a revealing answer to this question: “This really gives us the evidence to say with certainty that the pandemic was incredibly disruptive for young people and their families” (emphasis added). The “pandemic took a toll,” according to every media headline reporting on the studies.

To some, the distinction between the pandemic and the lockdowns may seem like splitting hairs, but the choice of words can have important consequences on present and future policies. The logic behind the social-distancing mandates has been that such policies are necessary to lessen the severity of the pandemic. Even in the face of overwhelming evidence that the lockdowns have proven ineffective, the faithful will always find ways to dismiss the naysayers and urge even more severe mandates (the problem is that we haven’t isolated enough!).

If, as the media and researchers claim, it is the pandemic taking such a toll on young people, then it seems to justify even more authoritarian responses to the virus. Lock down harder! Isolate further! Punish violators more severely! The lockdowners, like Mrs. Lovejoy, need only cry “think of the children” and the effects the pandemic is having on them to drive support for the very policies that, in reality, are responsible for the problems they aim to solve.

$54M in Chinese gifts donated to UPenn, home of Biden Center

A government watchdog is demanding the US Attorney probing Hunter Biden in Delaware investigate tens of millions in anonymous donations from China to the University of Pennsylvania, where an academic center is named for his father, President Biden.

The Ivy League college raked in a total of $54.6 million from 2014 through June 2019 in donations from China, including $23.1 million in anonymous gifts starting in 2016, according to public records.

Most of the anonymous donations came after the university announced in February 2017 that it would create the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement. Joe Biden, whose term as vice president had just ended, was to lead the center and was also named a professor at the university.

The center, which is located in Washington, DC., opened its doors in February 2018. Antony Blinken, whom Biden named as Secretary of State, briefly served as its managing director.

The Ivy League university received $15.8 million in anonymous Chinese gifts that year, including one eye-popping $14.5 million donation in May 2018, records show.

The flurry of donations may be related to Hunter Biden’s business interests in China, the National Legal and Policy Center, a Virginia-based watchdog, alleged in complaints sent in May and October 2020 to the Departments of Education and Justice.

Last week, the group asked US Attorney David Weiss to step in and investigate the Chinese largesse to the school as part of his federal tax probe of Hunter Biden.

“We’ve asked … Weiss to pursue the larger network of individuals and institutions who benefited from millions doled out by foreign interests connected to Hunter Biden’s work in China and Ukraine,” said Tom Anderson, director of the NLPC’s Government Integrity Project.

In its 12-page complaint, the watchdog cited a 2017 text found on Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop that CEFC China Energy Co, one of the firms that Hunter Biden had a financial stake in, wanted to lobby politicians in the US but did not want to register under the Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA), required for all foreign lobbyists.

Former Democrat Congressional Staffer Pleads Guilty to Stealing $80,000 in Public Funds

A former Capitol Hill staffer who served under Rep. Brad Schneider (D-Ill.) has pled guilty for fraudulently stealing around $80,000 from the federal government.

The staffer, 24-year-old Sterling Carter, “pleaded guilty today to theft of public funds in connection with his scheme to fraudulently inflate his salary and bonus payments, thereby paying himself more than he was legitimately owed,” the Department of Justice (DOJ) said in a press release.

According to the DOJ, Carter was responsible for managing the payroll in Schneider’s office, and he used that position to give himself unauthorized payouts from public funds.

“Carter concealed this theft from the Congressperson and the office’s Chief of Staff by falsely representing, in both communications and a budget spreadsheet, that he was only being paid what he was legitimately owed,” the DOJ said.

The theft was discovered after an FBI investigation. In Carter’s criminal charging papers (pdf) Frank G. D’Amico, the FBI agent in charge of the investigation, explained the situation further.

“From August 2019 to January 2021, [Carter] worked as the Director of Operations for the congressional office of … an elected Member of the U.S. House of Representatives,” D’Amico said.

“[Schneider’s] Chief of Staff, in consultation with [Schneider], was responsible for determining employees’ salaries, whether an employee should receive a bonus, and the dollar amount of any bonus to be paid out,” the complaint continued. “Only [Schneider and his chief of staff] could authorize salary increases or bonuses for employees.

“To effectuate a salary increase, CARTER, as Director of Operations, had to fill out and process a Payroll Authorization Form (PAF). The PAF would reflect the employee’s new annual salary and the date on which the salary change would take effect.”

According to the case documents, Carter fraudulently affixed Schneider’s names to several documents that would grant Carter bonus pay.

“Between November 2019 and January 21, 2021, in the District of Columbia, CARTER fraudulently filled out, signed, and submitted unauthorized [bonus pay forms] causing [the House of Representatives Office of Payroll and Benefits] to pay CARTER approximately $80,491.67 in unauthorized payments from Congressperson A’s MRA.”

For example, in one unauthorized PAF effective Nov. 1, 2019, Carter temporarily raised his annual salary from $54,000 to $138,000, resulting in a bonus of around $6,000 for the month.

With his guilty plea, Carter will now await a sentencing hearing, set to take place on July 28. The felony crime could land him in prison for as long as 10 years.

Until he’s sentenced, Carter will remain out of detention under the High Intensity Supervision Program (HISP), where he will remain under tight supervision to ensure that he does not attempt to flee.
