It's in writing. He wants 100% of the company, and it buying it outright. Say you own a restaurant. Elon just walked up to your restaurant, after flirting with talking about all its potential, and offered you way above it's valuation to buy you out. Say your restaurant's valuation was 1 million. He just offered you such an insane amount of money calculated in multiples of valuations for every item in the restaurant to the tune of 1.5 times every fork, spoon, dish, glass, etc. to buy you out. Enough money to go and start up 5 more restaurants, really.

Now imaging he just did this in order to buy out every single investor in a publicly traded company. Meaning every single investor gets a fuck ton of cash for playing along with Twitter stock, and those people will likely never get back together to start up a competitive venture. It also means that Elon Musk, a believer in Free Speech (an absolutist, even) will become the sole owner of the largest public square in the world.

With a few changes, Twitter can (will?) become exactly as it has pretended to be since before the dumbfuck Satanists started tightening the clamps of censorship. This is good news for every person that has ever used or might ever use the platform.
