you've missed the fact that all lot of history has unfolded since the Revelation was given.
It has been in the process of being unsealed as the events it foretold have occurred in history.

That's always a good thing to remember.
Also good to understand,
is that Jesus sent the Holy Ghost to remind His disciples that what He had taught them and foretold,
as God the Word,
the Holy Ghost would bring to their remembrance.
In the Faith,
they are to trust the Holy Ghost with Christ's Doctrine does not teach lies,
and equally important is also what John the Apostle said,
Test the spirits.
The test is to compare their teachings to what God the Word taught,
as recorded by the Prophets and the Apostles in His written word.
