I just got a call that got me all riled up.

I care for my elderly mother. I have power of attorney.

I quit her AARP and signed up for a reasonable medicare replacement plan.

The called and wanted to talk to her. I said I am her son, you can talk to me.

To be short

they are requesting that she get a physical with their doctor

I asked, this physical cannot be done by her PCP?

NO.

Then I decline

I've shortened the whole conversation, but several points along the way it seemed like they had never had anyone give push-back and couldn't answer the questions I had associated with the push-back. I told them to send me their position on writing and I'll discuss it with her.

Did I fuck up? How can going to their doctor be to my advantage?

>Threaten them back, that you will bring them to court for misrepresenting their coverage to an elderly person.

that and these plans generally can be dropped and changed about every 90 days.

When I am paying someone money I am the fucking boss, mr doctor mr lawyer, you are my learned advisors, but I make the final decisions.
