Possible reasons behind China's recent and controversial lockdowns:

1) A potential excuse for some groups in China for pushing mRNA vaccines imported from the west on Chinese population since they haven't been vaccinated against covid as most other major nations.

3) Orchestrated by China's deep state to destabilize China in order to injure Xi's popularity and power. This would be motivated by the vast internal crime networks in China since Xi's anti-corruption crackdown has removed millions of corrupt actors and many high level government officials who were on the take.

4) Cover for of Xi's corruption crackdown being used to isolate and remove bad actors (both internal and foreign bad actors).
