SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — More than 80 child victims have been identified in the United States in connection to a man accused of grooming children and having them make pornography, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office announced.

 

In a video news release, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office identified the suspect as Demetrius Carl Davis, 24.

 

Davis is suspected of portraying himself as an 11-year-old girl named "Lizzy" online and speaking with children in an effort to groom them.

 

"What's particularly heinous about this is that this grooming led up to our suspect asking these children to perform sexual acts on their siblings, other relatives and other kids that they know and film it and then send that video to our suspect," said Sgt. Rod Grassmann, spokesperson for the sheriff's office.

 

The sheriff's office began investigating Davis after getting a tip about an account suspected of uploading child sex abuse material online.

 

Deputies served a search warrant on Dec. 1, 2021 and found screen recordings that showed children engaged in sexual acts. Investigators said they found numerous files in cellphones and accounts that he was using to communicate.

 

"At that time, we did not have enough evidence to arrest him on site, but we took all those electronics," Grassmann said. "Over the last several months, we have forensically analyzed all of those and have identified 80 different victims and an additional 15 to 20 internationally, which we have not identified yet."

 

He said the U.S. Department of Homeland Security is also working on identifying the more than 15 other victims residing internationally. The victims vary in age but deputies say they range between six and 13 years old.

 

"Like I said, we have identified 80 individual victims, and I'm certain that we will have more," Grassmann said.

 

The sheriff's office said Davis could have spoken with more than 100 children between late 2020 and Dec. 2021. Deputies are asking parents to check their children's electronic devices and contact the Sacramento Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force if they think their child sent any illicit material to someone named "Lizzy." They can be reached at 916-874-3002 or ICAC@sacsheriff.com.

 

"Every electronic device connected to the internet is like an open window to the entire world. You have no idea who is talking to your child," Grassmann said.

 

Davis was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County jail Tuesday on suspicion of committing a lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14, according to the sheriff's office website.

China reports first human case of H3N8 bird flu

BEIJING (REUTERS) - China has recorded the first human infection with the H3N8 strain of bird flu, the country's health authority said on Tuesday (April 26), but said the risk of it spreading among people was low.

 

A four-year-old boy from central Henan province was found to have been infected with the variant after developing a fever and other symptoms on April 5.

 

No close contacts were infected with the virus, the National Health Commission (NHC) said in a statement.

The H3N8 variant has previously been detected elsewhere in the world in horses, dogs, birds and seals, but no human cases of H3N8 have been reported, said the NHC.

Many different strains of bird flu are present in China and some sporadically infect people, usually those working with poultry.

Growing surveillance of avian influenza in people also means more infections are being picked up.

North Dakota's longest-serving state senator says he'll resign following a report that he had traded scores of text messages with a man jailed on child pornography charges.

 

Republican Ray Holmberg already had stepped down as head of a powerful panel that oversees the Legislature's business between sessions after a published report that he had exchanged scores of text messages with a man jailed on child pornography charges. Holmberg's resignation is effective June 1.

 

He had risen to become one of the state's most powerful lawmakers in a career that spanned 46 years.

 

79-year-old Holmberg released a statement that said, “Recent news stories have become a distraction for the important work of the legislative assembly during its interim meetings,” he said. “I want to do what I can, within my power, to lessen such distractions.”

Amazing Digits.

 

Here is the back story of those pics. Someone posted that pic of that sun after I described a vision I had of the Lord and the table of shewbread in regards to describing the rays emanating.

 

The lightning at the statue of liberty was caught by someone at the exact same time I fought with my wife about my twitter logo that I wanted to put up but she told me it would blacklist me further. I pounded my desk in anger. Later as I went on the boards I researched that pic timestamp and also where it terminated, the new WTC building. Only God can time these things and send this type of precise message. As a ground zero worker, hitting the new WTC was Biblical. Notice the logo had the shroud of Turin in the one I wanted to use.

 

It's just amazing that you put both pics together, that is why I thought it might be Q+ because that photo op at St John's was another one. Emmanuel, God with us.
