Lina Hidalgo has repeatedly attacked Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg, a Democrat, amid an investigation into the judge’s canceled $11 million ‘vaccine outreach’ contract.

Hidalgo’s top three staffers were indicted in April after prosecutors expanded the investigation into an $11 million ‘vaccine outreach contract’ awarded to one of the judge’s political cronies.

Hidalgo’s Chief of Staff Alex Triantaphyllis and Policy Director Wallis Nader along with co-defendant Aaron Dunn were charged with misuse of official information and tampering with government documents in connection with the canceled vaccine outreach contract.

According to court documents, Triantaphyllis and Nader are trying to get the DA removed from the case and assert “Ogg has engaged in a months-long, highly public feud” with the Judge over funding of the DA’s office which represents a “conflict of interest.”

“”Ogg took the rejection of her funding requests as a personal insult,” claimed both Triantaphyllis and Nader in nearly identical motions now before Judge Hazel Jones.” Fox 26 Houston reported.

Lina Hidalgo knows she’s going to be indicted next which is why she’s lashing out at Ogg and trying to smear her investigation as a ‘political vendetta.’

Ogg and Hidalgo have been exchanging barbs over the last couple weeks.

Kim Ogg responded to Lina Hidalgo’s smear campaign and warned her to keep her mouth shut about the ongoing investigation.

“Failing to do so allows a top county official, in her official capacity, to continue to improperly influence those people of Harris County who will serve on the jury in this case,” Ogg said a couple weeks ago. “This harms everyone, including the accused, and must stop.”

Pfizer has officially submitted its request to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to clear its COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use in children under the age of five.

The pharmaceutical giant, along with BioNTech SE, finalized their application with the FDA for emergency use authorization (EUA) of their vaccine in children aged six months to four years. In a statement on Wednesday, the companies said that they began the submission process in February.

Pfizer announced in May that a three-shot regimen was highly effective and prompted a robust immune response in children under age 5. Pfizer’s data was based on early results from a highly anticipated trial that is likely to pave the way for infants and toddlers to be immunized.

Early testing found that the vaccine was 80.3% effective in preventing COVID infections among young children, with ten infections occurring among all study participants. According to the company, the final results will be determined once 21 children enrolled in the study have been infected.

In February, Pfizer launched a rolling review of data from the trial of 1,678 children under the age of 5. The three-dose vaccine regimen was well-tolerated, with a safety profile similar to that of the placebo, and most side effects were mild or moderate.

Woman Tells Cops She Can’t Get on the Ground Because She’s Pregnant, Cops Put 5 Rounds In Her

Kansas City, MO — When a mother of three was travelling through Kansas City, Missouri last week, pulling off the highway to get her children some ice cream, she never imagined that she and her children would witness police shoot an unarmed pregnant woman. Unfortunately, however, that’s exactly what happened according to Shé Danja.

Shé Danja, who declined to give her last name out of fear of police retaliation, pulled out her phone and recorded the incident as it unfolded and the video appears to show that 26-year-old Leonna Hale was unarmed when she was shot 5 times by Kansas City police officers.

Immediately after they shot her, police claimed that a “gun was recovered at the scene.” However, Hale did not appear to be holding it and according to the eye witness, Hale told police there was a gun in the vehicle which was far away from Hale when she was shot.

The incident unfolded on Friday May 27 when police say they were looking for a carjacking suspect. According to police, they found a vehicle matching the description of the stolen vehicle located at the Family Dollar on 6th street.

When police approached the vehicle, the male driver exited the car and took off running while Hale stayed back. Hale then complied with police and got out of the car like she was asked to do.

According to the Kansas City Star, who interviewed Shé Danja, “The cops told the woman to get on the ground, but the woman informed them that she was pregnant, and so she couldn’t get down on the ground.” Then police asked her to get down multiple times, which she still couldn’t. The woman then informed police that there was a gun in the vehicle.

The woman began moving back toward a fence of the parking lot. Numerous officers approached and drew their weapons. “She did not pull out a weapon on them,” Shé Danja said. “She did not even have a stick in her hand.” The woman ran three steps away from officers, Shé Danja said, and police shot five times.

“One, two, three, four, five. I remember it because it didn’t stop. They shot five times,” Shé Danja told the Star. “I remember seeing her hit the ground and I froze,” she said. She also asked police numerous times why they shot the woman, but officers refused to answer.

Shé Danja was then forced away from the scene by one of the responding officers, despite telling him that her son was still in the store.

Sweden, Population 10.3 Million, Has over 1 Million Migrants Eligible to Vote in 2022 Elections

Out of a total population of just over ten million people, an estimated one million foreign-born residents of Sweden will be eligible to vote in the coming national elections to be held later this year.

Around 1.2 million foreign-born residents of Sweden will be eligible to vote later this year for the first time ever, with some noting that foreign-born Swedes tend to vote mainly for a specific party, namely the ruling Social Democrats.

The new number of foreign-born voters is a full 200,000 higher than the last Swedish national election, according to a report from broadcaster Sveriges Radio.

Henrik Ekengren Oscarsson, professor of political science, commented on foreign-born voting patterns, saying: “If you combine voting for the Left Party and the Social Democrats, it’s a clear red vote.”

While foreign-born residents of Sweden tend to vote more for left-wing parties on average compared to native-born Swedens, they also tend to vote less in elections overall. Around 74 per cent of foreign-born Swedes vote compared to 90 per cent of natives.

The trend reflects the ongoing demographic shift in Sweden, as much of the country’s population growth continues to be fueled by mass migration in recent years.

In 2016, Sweden had the second-highest population growth rate in the entire European Union due to mass migration, behind only Luxembourg, a city-state with a much smaller overall population of just over 600,000 people.

Sweden’s dependence on mass migration for population growth became evident in the first year of the Wuhan virus pandemic as many countries halted flights and other forms of travel in an effort to halt the spread of the virus.

In the first six months of 2020, Sweden saw its lowest rate of population growth in 15 years due to a lack of new immigrants and deaths caused by the virus outbreak. The population growth rate during that period was half that of the same period the year prior.

China plans to have 33 percent of its electricity sourced from renewable power sources in a new renewables plan by 2025.

China, which had a 28.8 percent share of renewable electricity in 2020, also looks to raise the share of non-fossil fuel energy in its overall energy mix to 20 percent by 2025, according to the new five-year plan from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) cited by Reuters.

Non-fossil fuels accounted for 15.4 percent of China's primary energy consumption in 2020, Reuters notes.

China, the world's largest greenhouse gas emitter, is also the key growth driver of renewable power capacity installation globally. Solar and wind power installations have surged in recent years, but China has put more emphasis on energy security in recent months.

Although China looks to start cutting coal consumption after 2026, it is still planning to build new coal capacity. It also left the door wide open to more coal in the renewable plan.

Earlier this year, China said it would continue to maximize the use of coal in the coming years as it caters to its energy security, despite pledges to contribute to global efforts to reduce emissions. Chinese President Xi Jinping has told representatives from its biggest coal-producing region, Inner Mongolia, that China "could not part from reality" and that it is "rich in coal, poor in oil and short of gas." The energy transition is a long process, and China cannot just "slam the brakes" on coal, according to Xi.

China is concerned about its energy security after the autumn 2021 power crisis and, most recently, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which pushed energy commodity prices sky-high.

China needs to accelerate efforts to decarbonize, including reducing coal consumption, the latest UN climate report says, while China has placed emphasis on coal production and coal-fired generation at least in the next few years as it prioritizes energy security.

China is one of the laggards in emissions reductions and its short-term energy policies are incompatible with the global targets, one of the report's authors said in April.

BBC censored alleged rape victim’s testimony to avoid “misgendering” the perpetrator

The BBC has been accused of violating the journalistic principle of accuracy by changing the testimony of a rape victim to avoid “misgendering” the accused rapist, a biological male who identifies as a transgender woman.

In the testimony, the anonymous rape victim, who is a lesbian, referred to the transgender rapist as “him,” saying that “he” raped her.

In the article, the BBC changed the woman’s words by referring to the rapist as “they” instead of “him.”

The original statement read: “I was too young to argue and had been brainwashed by queer theory so he was a ‘woman’ even if every fibre of my being was screaming throughout, so I agreed to go home with him. He used physical force when I changed my mind upon seeing his penis and raped me.”

According to The Times, the decision to censor the woman’s words to respect the rapist’s preferred pronouns was debated in the editorial room.

“Some journalists argued that the quote should remain intact, while others said it should reflect the trans woman’s preferred she/her pronouns,” The Times reported.

A source for The Times said: “They were originally all male references but the woke bros at the news website wanted to make them female because of misgendering. It’s quite shocking. I can’t think of any other situation where we would change the words of an alleged rape victim.”

Commenting on the issue, the BBC said: “It’s routine to have editorial discussions about different stories. Our only intention when deciding on language is to make things as clear as possible for audiences.”

According to an Associated Press report late Wednesday, the signs were cautiously optimistic, with the United Nations saying it had received “preliminary, positive indications” from the parties about extending the cessation of hostilities.

Ultimately, whether the Houthis and forces commanded by the newly appointed Presidential Leadership Council return to the negotiating table for the longterm, or the battlefield, depends on decisions made both inside and outside Yemen.

A crucial actor is Saudi Arabia. The Saudis have upheld one tenet of the truce by not bombing Yemen since the ceasefire went into effect on April 2. They have partially implemented other key aspects: they reportedly allowed 12 ships to unload fuel at Hodeidah port: the truce stipulated 18 fuel ships. They have also allowed three flights from Sanaa International Airport to Jordan, with the first flight to Egypt scheduled for June 1: the truce specified two commercial flights a week to Amman and Cairo.

The Houthis have likewise partly upheld the truce by not launching drones or missiles across the border at Saudi Arabia. However reports from the strategic city of Marib indicate Houthi efforts to consolidate their position there.

One outstanding issue remains the besieged city of Taiz: the Houthis control the surrounding area and maintain strict limits on access, while the city remains under the control of forces aligned with Yemen’s government, including the Islamist Islah party. However, the county's "Early Voting Rejections Summary" shows it rejected just 934 late ballots of the more than 20,000 that were transported from the U.S. Postal Service after Election Day, according to the Epoch Times.

Arizona's electoral votes were counted in favor of then-Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden, who won the presidency by 74 electoral votes. Biden won Arizona by about 10,500 votes. So the 19,000 ballots might have changed the outcome of the Arizona race, giving it to then-GOP incumbent President Trump.

In addition to the Early Voting Rejections Summary, a volunteer group called Verity Vote obtained additional documents appearing to show after-deadline ballots were counted.

The Nov. 4 Receipt of Delivery shows 18,000 ballots were picked up from the Post Office, the day after the Nov. 3 election.

Though the document is dated Nov. 4, one day after the election, someone wrote at the top "Election Day" in what looks like different handwriting from the rest of the page, the Epoch Times also reports.

The county also documents receiving 1,000 ballots on Nov. 5 and 1,500 ballots on Nov. 6. Combined with the 18,000 ballots found on Nov. 4, the total documented late ballots were 20,500, according to the news outlet.

On the 17th May, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) published its latest dataset on deaths by vaccination status in England, and it has revealed a whole host of shocking findings.

For example we now know that according to the ONS, 70,000 people have died within 28 days of Covid-19 vaccination in England, and 179,000 people have died within 60 days.

We also now know that Covid-19 vaccination increases children’s risk of death between 8,100% and 30,200%.

But it turns out that once you dig a little deeper into data, you find that Covid-19 vaccination actually increases the mortality rate of everyone within approximately 5 months.

India is buying up cheap sanctioned Russian oil, refining it, then selling it to the US and EU for huge profits, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.

The US has reluctantly given India permission to buy Russian oil because India has threatened to ditch their alliance with the America and ally with China if the US dares to sanction them.

While Americans and Europeans are being forced to pay record prices for gas as "the cost of standing up for freedom," the free nation of India is buying oil from Russia for a whopping $35 off a barrel and selling it back to us in a hilarious arbitrage scheme.

Europe just targeted Russian crude with its toughest sanctions yet, but shippers and refiners are getting the oil to market by obscuring its origins. Some fuels believed to be partially made from Russian crude landed in New York and New Jersey last month.

The cargoes were brought through the Suez Canal and across the Atlantic from Indian refineries, which have been big buyers of Russian oil, according to shipping records, Refinitiv data and analysis by Helsinki-based think tank Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air.

"What likely happened was Reliance took on a discounted cargo of Russian crude, refined it and then sold the product on the short-term market where it found a U.S. buyer," said Lauri Myllyvirta, lead analyst at the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air. […]

Reliance didn't respond to a request for comment. Its joint chief financial officer, Srikanth Venkatachari, said in a May 6 briefing that the company has minimized feedstock cost by sourcing "arbitrage barrels."

Indian refined oil-product exports, beefed up by cheap Russian supplies, have grown sharply since the beginning of the war. Daily shipments to Europe have risen by a third and by 43% to the U.S. on a quarterly basis.

Ontario school board removes Agatha Christie book over antisemitism

Promote gender change but don't describes Jews in unflattering light

The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) has asked teachers to no longer have students read And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie because of anti Semitic references.

“The text was first published around 1939 and is no longer relevant or engaging to students,” said a UCDSB spokesperson in a Monday statement to the National Post.

“The Upper Canada District School Board regularly reviews its curriculum offerings and course materials to ensure we are offering fresh, engaging, timely, and relatable materials to students.”

And Then There Were None was last used for a summer school course in July, according to the spokesperson. The book was removed from the course when offensive content was pointed out.

While the memo did not explain what anti Semitic references the UCDSB was concerned about, character Mr. Morris is referred to as “little Jew,” “Jewboy,” and as having “thick Semitic lips.”

The book has been criticized for past racist titles. Its original name was from a minstrel song with an anti-black slur, and it has been titled Ten Little Indians at times.

Christie is recognized as one of the best-selling novelists of all time, writing 66 mystery novels and 14 plays. And Then There Were None is the best-selling crime novel in history.

Christie’s books Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile have been accused of promoting racism and xenophobia. The Secret of Chimneys and Lord Edgware Dies have been criticized for using antisemitic tropes.

The memo said removing this book from curriculums is a step to ensure texts used in schools are not discriminatory.

UCDSB principals have been encouraged to talk with staff and students to ensure book selections are “appropriate and culturally responsive.” The school board does not offer information on how to decide if older books such as And Then There Were None are suitable, but a process to choose appropriate titles is being worked on.

Other incidents of books being censored have come up in Ontario school boards in the last few years.

English teachers in the Peel District School Board (PDSB) were urged not to teach To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee because it is harmful, violent, and oppressive to black students in 2018.

“The use of racist texts as entry points into discussions about racism is hardly for the benefit of black students who already experience racism,” said a PDSB memo. “This should give us pause — who does the use of these texts centre?”

Unborn baby’s remains reportedly discovered in Mississippi wastewater treatment facility

‘My heart is broken,’ said Adams County Coroner James Lee. ‘I pray for the people who disposed of this child the way they did.’

The body of a second trimester unborn baby was said to have been recovered from an industrial wastewater treatment facility in Mississippi last week, according to the Natchez Democrat.

Adams County Coroner James Lee said the Sheriff’s Office contacted him Tuesday morning to respond to what seemed to be a human fetus discovered inside a drainage system at the Natchez, Mississippi wastewater treatment plant.

“Upon my arrival, I noticed a fetus that appeared to be (16 weeks’) gestational age laying in sewage,” Lee said, according to the outlet. “My heart is broken. I pray for the people who disposed of this child the way they did.”

Lee added that the Mississippi Crime Lab refused his request for an autopsy and DNA samples of the apparent deceased infant.

According to a report by The Blaze, Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said that in the opinion of the Crime Lab the unborn child “was not considered viable,” adding that it was unclear whether “a crime has been committed or if it was simply a miscarriage.”

Patten said the Adam’s County Sheriff’s Office is looking to obtain an autopsy and DNA sample from a private lab in an effort to locate the unborn baby’s mother, though he said the chances of identifying her “are very slim.”

“In order for that to happen, the DNA would have to match someone that is already in the system,” Patten explained.

“Whomever the mother was is going to need medical attention,” the sheriff added.

“If the fetus was viable, it would be considered a desecration of a corpse, but if not there are no legal ramifications,” he said, characterizing the situation as “traumatic.”

The New England Patriots threatened their fans with big tech censorship after a Tweet by the NFL team’s verified account celebrating LGBT “pride month” was widely mocked. Corporate America, including the NFL, has been ridiculed in recent days for a seemingly frantic effort to force June as LGBT pride month into the American psyche. Internet users have pointed out that, seemingly overnight, blue and yellow Ukrainian flags have been replaced with rainbow pride flags in corporate Twitter bios.

Going beyond a mere rainbow pride flag, the New England Patriots employed the far-left’s “progress pride flag” in their pride month tweet, which gained popularity during 2020’s deadly summer of Black Lives Matter riots and includes additional stripes in the shape of a triangle to celebrate transgenderism and to represent “communities of color.” Above the flag, the “Gillette” portion of the Gillette Stadium sign, where the team plays its games, is shown in rainbow lettering.

“Kicking off Pride Month,” the Tweet from the New England Patriots reads, “@GilleteStadium is illuminated tonight in celebration of #Pride2022.”

Blowback over the Tweet was widespread and came from a wide array of Twitter users. While some were upset that the New England Patriots didn’t celebrate February’s Black History Month in a similar manner, others criticized them for corporate pandering and for politicizing sports, remarking that they’d made their own once-great product unwatchable.

“Please just focus on beating the Bills and picking an offensive coordinator,” one fan wrote to the team. “Stay out of social justice and concentrate on football,” wrote another.

Apparently unhappy with the lack of enthusiastic response, the New England Patriots then used their official Twitter account to threaten fans with big tech censorship, reminding them that the post’s comment section was being “monitored’ and accusing them of “hate.”

“Our comment section is monitored and there is no room for hate,” the team’s account tweeted to even more ridicule from fans. In the comment sections of both the original tweet and the response threatening censorship, several replies are unable to be viewed, appearing to show that the New England Patriots did indeed move to suppress the speech of their own fans.

WH Economic Adviser Bernstein Blames Putin for Inflation — Ukraine Invasion ‘Is All over that Issue’

White House Council of Economic Advisers member Jared Bernstein on Thursday pointed to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine for the record-high inflation and gas prices in the United States.

Bernstein told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that the stimulus packages were “integrally contributing to some of the remarkable economic statistics” posted during President Joe Biden’s time in office.

“Let me start by underscoring some of the points that the president made in his op-ed earlier this week, which is targeting precisely what you asked about there,” Bernstein outlined. “I mean, this is a president who grew up in a family where high gas and grocery prices were kitchen table issues. So, of course, we’re doing all we can to help on the price front — particularly gas at the pump, but in other commodities as well.”

“Now, of course, as you said, Vladimir Putin’s unjust invasion of the sovereign nation of Ukraine is all over that issue, and we’re hearing today some reports that OPEC may step up and compensate for some of the lost Russian barrels. We can’t wait on the sidelines,” he added.

Co-host Willie Geist asked if the stimulus packages contributed to the inflation.

Bernstein then acknowledged the American Rescue Plan contributed to some of the inflation but said he wasn’t “here to at all look at this in any sort of one-sided way.”

“The inflation that we’re observing is very much a function of high levels of demand and constrained supply,” he replied. “Now, that relates to COVID, that relates to some things that certainly weren’t in the picture when the American Rescue Plan went into place — things like Omicron and other variants, things like Russia’s invasion, things like China’s lockdown.”

Bernstein continued, “And sure, fiscal policy is always going to contribute to the demand side of the equation, but I’m not here to at all look at this in any sort of one-sided way. When you’re talking about the rescue plan, it is essential to balance some of the heat that fiscal policy helped to create along with that list of benefits.”
