If you were really smart you'd know that everyone is smart, even my cat.

A smart person can learn from anyone or anything.

A smart person has patience and other so-called spiritual qualities.

I used to be arrogant and look down on my father for being punch drunk and too tired to read or learn after working hard all day.

But he taught me a few very important things; which he repeated over and over; which annoyed me, then.

  1. there are many ways to be smart.

(I'll add, there are more ways to be stupid than there are to be smart)

  1. I'd rather be lucky than smart (I'm sure TrumpPOTUS would disagree)

  2. You have to give, to get.

Battling the Matrix and Freeing Oneself from the Roger Rabbit Mental World

Many so-called stupid people are free of the Matrix and see it clearly.

And many highly intellegent people are stuck in delusion.

IQ tests are only as smart as the people who write them.

One can never see one's own blind spot; so it's always wise to realize there's another box to open - another horizon of mysteries; and humble one's self before knowledge.

And stop being a "Know-it-all"

Main sign of intelligence is curiosity.

If you write off a large majority of people as stupid, it means you have no curiosity.

I'm open minded, but will disagree about "Everyone is curious"

definitely false.

Maybe as children yes to some degree.

but curiosity is a spectrum quality.

You can even see that diplayed in animals.

It took me a while to figure out what was going on when people miss something.

It's hard to understand stupid, since there's nothing to understand, it's just stupid.

I used to think there was something "there" to figure out, about stupid people; I thought I was missing what was going on.. and it frustrated me.

Then I realized it's just stupid and there's nothing to understand.

Same happened when contemplating fraud. Once I understood it was fraud, then it all made sense.

I will contend there is something every person can teach you, each person has something to give..

Some people i've known who are illiterate, have thought me things; and their brain sees things mind does not.

different , not superior nor inferior.

It's diversity which is part of nature's way.

There's a perfection to it.

taught me things

someone who was 99.99% illiterate, could barely read or write, taught me things that person could see that I could not see.

They say, for instance, if you are deaf or say, blind, the brain compensates and devolops other qualities.

So it is with literacy.

It will form the brain in a certain way; including what books you read, if you do read.

One book can change your entire life.

Many of my ancestors were illiterate; did that make them stupid? I doubt.

Sorry if I wasn't clear

There is such a thing as excellence, no doubt.

That's one thing I like about Trump; he encourages and admires excellence.

Not sure how much is strictly genetic?

Also, there are many more psychopaths who are "more intelligenct"

And many so-called "retarded" who are expert at kindness and love.

That's what I point to when I write "compensation"

And I think what my Dad meant by "many ways to be smart"

I was noted as prodigious (or whatever) and my father being uneducated maybe never saw that, but knew it. So he tried to make me understand I only had one kind of intelligence and there are many others.

If a person is medium intelligence they will miss you; won't be able to see you.

I remember somewhat that a purpose of this board was so that people who had something in common could meet with those who are like themselves, and therefore be understood.

My Mom taught me. "It 's better to understand than to be understood"

yeh, I did that and surprised myself, learned something very quickly and the old hats hated me and claimed I couldn't' do it.

But it wasn't by 25 , not at all

And the injection injured youth, they may have to recover from the damage before they hit their stride?

Without opportunity, one may never learn one's strenghts. Not about age.
