A Manhattan judge ruled a mistrial Tuesday in the case of a Steve Bannon associate charged with siphoning donations to the “We Build the Wall” charity — after a deadlocked jury said it couldn’t overcome its ideological differences.

The mistrial comes after the jury deliberated for more than 30 hours whether Colorado businessman Timothy Shea was guilty of stealing contributions to the fund from ex-President Donald Trump’s supporters. The charity aimed to privately finance a portion of border wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.

On Thursday, the jury wrote Judge Analisa Torres to say a holdout, Roberto, had alleged a “government witch hunt” and other conspiracies during deliberations and was preventing them from reaching a verdict. He’d accused the other 11 jurors of being biased New York liberals, according to jury notes.

Torres told the jury to continue deliberating despite the discord. But on Tuesday the jury said it had reached an impasse.

“Judge Torres, in the last few days, we have narrowed our focus to an agreed-upon scope consisting of a few points of contention. We’ve gone to extreme depth in granular detail, building a bottom up analysis regarding these points. In doing so, it is abundantly clear that we are even further entrenched in our opposing views,” the jury reported.

We need to keep America safe, and restore her once again, remaining the world leader of examples. I.e. I've strived to have 'made in America' products because it's most times, Qaullity made.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A slate of Republican U.S. House members in heavily Democratic California is facing primary challengers on Tuesday in races that will help determine control of Congress.

No incumbents appear at risk of losing their primary, but the districts will be among the country’s marquee races in November. Two of the House members are trying to surmount challenges tied to former President Donald Trump: One voted to support the former president’s impeachment after the U.S. Capitol insurrection, while the other fought against it.

Elsewhere on Tuesday, former Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is competing against several other Republicans for a chance to capture a new U.S. House district in western Montana. In Iowa, Republican state Sen. Zach Nunn won the GOP spot to take on the state’s lone Democratic House member, Rep. Cindy Axne, in a newly drawn district with a stronger GOP tilt. And in Mississippi, Republican U.S. Rep. Steven Palazzo is running for reelection after a congressional ethics watchdog raised questions about his campaign spending.

Who?

what?

where?

when?

and why. Are these mites ruining crops in North America?

Agriculture: Tomato Pest Management Guidelines

Tomato Russet Mite

Aculops lycopersici

Description of the Pest

Russet mites are so small that a 14X hand lens is needed to see them. Because of their size, these mites are rarely noticed until plants are damaged. By this time, there may be hundreds of yellowish, conical-shaped mites on the green leaves immediately above the damaged bronzed leaves.

Damage

Russet mites remove cell contents from leaves, stems, and fruit cells. Usually starting near the ground, infestations of this mite progress up the plant and lower leaves dry out, giving the plant an unhealthy appearance. The color of the stems and leaves frequently becomes greasy bronze or russet colored. If not controlled, this pest can kill plants.

Management

Monitor and treat for these mites if damage is observed. If infestations occur in the same field in successive years, be sure to remove alternate hosts such as nightshades and morning glory.
