Happy Birthday POTUS!!!

Please come back, we need you to right this ship that is sinking due to the ineffective and most likely purposeful actions by Byedan.

With your guidance, we will have a better world (I'm sure you're working in the background to those ends). Love from one of your most loyal Anons.

Fire Tornado' Spawns As Pipeline Fire Burns Thousands Of Acres In Arizona

The Pipeline Fire is currently burning thousands of acres across Arizona. One person captured a video of an apparent "fire tornado" that broke out as the fire torched the area.

Fox 10 Phoenix reported that Evan Mackenzie shared a video of the fire tornado that spawned off the fire just miles from Flagstaff. The fire tornado took place not far from where the Tunnel Fire burned just two months prior.

In the video, you can see tons of smoke blanketing the sky for miles. The video then zooms in on the dark-colored fire tornado, a terrifying sight.

China bank protest stopped by health codes turning red, depositors say

SHANGHAI, June 14 (Reuters) - A protest planned by hundreds of bank depositors in central China seeking access to their frozen funds has been thwarted because the authorities have turned their health code apps red, several depositors told Reuters.

The depositors were planning to travel to the central province of Henan this week from across China to protest against an almost two-month block on accessing at least $178 million of deposits, which has left companies unable to pay workers and individuals unable to access savings. read more

Rights groups have warned China could use its vast COVID surveillance infrastructure to stifle dissent. Without a green code on their smartphone app, citizens lose access to public transport and spaces such as restaurants and malls, as well as the right to travel across the country.

"They are putting digital handcuffs on us," said a depositor from Sichuan province surnamed Chen, who declined to use his full name for fear of government retribution.

The Henan provincial government, the National Health Commission and the Ministry of Public Security did not respond to requests for comment.

After recent COVID outbreaks, some regions in China have asked travellers to register their plans online.

A man surnamed Liu, who lives in Hubei province, found that his health code turned red on the morning of June 12 after he registered the day before to travel to Henan.

Sri Lanka gives public workers extra day off to grow food

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka has approved a four-day work week for public sector workers to help them cope with a chronic fuel shortage and encourage them to grow food, the government said on Tuesday (Jun 14), as it struggles with its worst financial crisis in decades.

The island nation, which employs about one million people in its public sector, has been hit by a severe foreign exchange shortage, which has left it struggling to pay for critical imports of fuel, food and medicine.

Many of the country's 22 million people have to queue up at petrol stations for hours and have been enduring long power cuts for months.

Sri Lanka's Cabinet late on Monday approved a proposal for public sector workers to be given leave every Friday for the next three months, partly because the fuel shortage made commuting difficult and also to encourage them to farm.

"It seems appropriate to grant government officials leave of one working day … to engage in agricultural activities in their backyards or elsewhere as a solution to the food shortage that is expected," the government information office said in a statement.
