Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday congratulated Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) for winning her reelection primary on Tuesday against her Trump-endorsed challenger.

"Katie Arrington was a long shot but ran a great race and way over performed," the former president wrote on his platform Truth Social. "Congrats to Nancy Mace, who should easily be able to defeat her Democrat opponent!"

Mace beat Arrington 53% to 45%, according to the Associated Press.

Trump targeted Mace because she signed a letter with six other colleagues saying they would not challenge the 2020 election results. Although she did not vote to impeach Trump, she did criticize his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Trump commented later in the day Wednesday on how most of his endorsed candidates won their primaries.

"Every single endorsed by Trump candidate won last night, by big margins, with the exception of one very long shot who did FAR better than anticipated against an incumbent," he wrote on Truth Social. "The 'Impeacher' was ousted without even a runoff. A GREAT night!"

Ross Wightman, a former pilot and realtor was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), which is a rare disorder in which your body’s immune system attacks your nerves, after receiving a first dose of the Oxford AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine last April 2021.

Wightman became partially paralyzed from the waist down and suffered full facial paralysis after being diagnosed with the disease due to the COVID-19 vaccine.

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — The leaders of four European Union nations visited Ukraine on Thursday, vowing to back Kyiv’s bid to become an official candidate to join the bloc in a high-profile show of support for the country fending off a Russian invasion.

French President Emmanuel Macron also promised Ukraine six more powerful truck-mounted artillery guns, the latest in a new round of Western arms pledges for Ukraine as the war grinds on in the eastern Donbas region.

The leaders “are doing everything so that Ukraine alone can decide its fate,” Macron said at a news conference.

In the face of Kyiv’s fears that Western resolve to help it could wane, the visit by Macron and the leaders of Germany, Italy and Romania carried heavy symbolic weight. The three Western European powers have faced criticism for continuing to engage with Russian President Vladimir Putin — and failing to provide Ukraine with the scale of weaponry that it has said is necessary to fend off the Russians. Romania’s president also made the journey.

After arriving in Kyiv to the sound of air raid sirens, the leaders headed to Irpin, a suburb of the capital that was the scene of intense fighting early in the war and where many civilians were destruction there.
