Still if I remember correctly, Jim said that GV used the same IP he or she always used, and thus hints at fixed IP, which in turn made me look up the IP hash yesterday, because I was curious.
Of course even that is not 100% for certain. Even if you have a fixed IP, some glowie may hack into your network and post using your IP.

In some cases, id is relevant.
For example someone could claim to be Jim. It would be important to know if it's actually Jim, or not. That's why ##administration and/or voice for id.
I still don't know who is actually behind that IP hash, just like I don't know who is behind what userid. Someone claimed to be Rusty some weeks ago. Wouldn't be it be nice to verify that claim?
Even the DJT posts from mid 2019 are not 100% for certain, because id via photo, which can in theory be from some other time, highly likely that they were authentic.
One of the main reasons why I even checked IP (I normally never do that) is because the pic posted here was posted before and the crew tried their "delete that post now" spiel yesterday, for whatever reason. Could have been them, and of course that IP hash could still be them, I do not know that. If it is the GV, then I think it's unlikely.

As far as I can remember only the early ones and those didn't have a user set either.
Last year tons of posts were deleted by the old admin because they were similar in the broadest sense to Q posts. Tons were archived on /qrb/ including several that were just location dumps for whatever reason.
There were also a few that were authenticated later by the Rusty yt channel, which of course also no one really knows if it was compromised, or not.
My personal opinion is that Rusty is military, but I can be wrong of course. And I think these Rusty yt drops are also real, again, I could be wrong.
