Crowne Plaza has/had pink motif.

See signs and logos inside and exterior.

But no photo evidence that its front facade was lit pink. However, it faces the right general direction and is in the right general position to match the Q pic pink/purple building. Maybe floodlights. Because rarity, might be a special marker - find such pictorial evidence and boom.

Cranes also big marker.

See the open source 22-DEC-2013-T for example. Cranes not in that location in Q pic? but in that location Christmas Week 2013. Obscured by treecover in Q pic - winter no leaves but branches and distance so on.

Using 22-DEC-2013-T as proxy, which is reasonable but not can be questioned because more complicated, maybe use cranes to date changes in THAT river view. Then reverse engineer toward Q pics?

IF THE PINK LIGHTING was a one-off, then, it is big marker. IF THAT LIGHTING can be matched with crane/s activity, then, supported. Might be able to link across the buildings as there was lots of activity with cranes around 2013/2014 winter. Lots. As per the changes evident by spring/summer 2014 and going forward. Building removed. Some raised higher. Hospital good example.

The reason we have discussed pink is the photo that was misdated when submitted for the 24London contest. Anons will lremember that misdating and the paniterly look of the photo.

Anyway, can we narrow the interval for either the crane activity or for the lit hotel facade? The building had a sort of 3-sided shape facing Albert and the Thames. I think in Q pic only one side was captured.

The SV-2012 images (camera on roads) contrast with the SV-2013 images (camera on boat on river) on the point of focus – the crane in vicinity of the purple lit building.

So by AUG-2013-P the crane was present. It was not lit, if present, in the Q pics taken in winter of 2013/2014. That, then, may be a deadend for our dig on the crane activity, IDK.

The other angle is the lit building. That won't be found in SV images but perhaps in viewer submitted images re tourist photos and images submitted to various online sources, including googlemaps and google earth related.

Purple building looks bit different between ROT 1 and LONDON2847. Maybe due to slightly moving treecover?

The vid that captured the lights on the building did not show animated lighting.

The comparison of these two Q pics is one that captured a very brief interval, maybe just a few seconds, as the group walked over the pedestrian crossing.

Definitely there was a tall crane setup for that work. If it was present at the time of the Q pics, it remained unlit when those pics were taken. Can't see that crane but it might be obscured by treecover?

Caps frp, vid showed how very dark the TATT was even when traffic was very heavy.

The timelaspe goes by quickly but slow to lowest speed and look for a few frames as the camera passes TATT's location.

Later the camera approached Lambeth Bridge and the purple-lit building first appeared in view. Then as the recording heads down Albert Embankment it captured a full on view of the hotel's coloured lights.

Along the way captured time on Big Ben clockface.

As I recall, ROT 1 divided by a verttical grid of 5 would should vertical intercepts with each of following markers; The Eye/Moon, St Thomas, Purple Building, Millibank Shroud on rooftop ehind Big Ben (Millibank Tower near). The yellow lines represented that 5-grid.

Not sure we ever figured significance, if any, of 14.25 degrees.
