If you were really smart you'd know that everyone is smart, even my cat.

A smart person can learn from anyone or anything.

A smart person has patience and other so-called spiritual qualities.

I used to be arrogant and look down on my father for being punch drunk and too tired to read or learn after working hard all day.

But he taught me a few very important things; which he repeated over and over; which annoyed me, then.

  1. there are many ways to be smart.

(I'll add, there are more ways to be stupid than there are to be smart)

  1. I'd rather be lucky than smart (I'm sure TrumpPOTUS would disagree)

  2. You have to give, to get.

Many so-called stupid people are free of the Matrix and see it clearly.

And many highly intellegent people are stuck in delusion.

IQ tests are only as smart as the people who write them.

One can never see one's own blind spot; so it's always wise to realize there's another box to open - another horizon of mysteries; and humble one's self before knowledge.

And stop being a "Know-it-all"

Main sign of intelligence is curiosity.

If you write off a large majority of people as stupid, it means you have no curiosity.
