Many conditions of the Messiah’s coming were not fulfilled: world peace, the world worshipping the God of Israel, the world observing the Torah, the destruction of all weapons of war, the rebuilding of the temple.
Also, needing Jesus to come back is an admission that he didn't fulfill the requirements of being the Messiah.
