Lapid: 'Israel', US donât ânecessarily agreeâ on Iran
Israeli occupation Prime Minister Yair Lapid reportedly stated, on Sunday, that the US and âIsraelâ did not "necessarily agree" on the need for a credible military threat against Iran, during talks with US President Joe Biden last week.
During the closed-door portion of Sundayâs cabinet meeting, Lapid said, âWe came and asked to introduce a credible military threat during President Bidenâs visit,â as per Channel 13 news.
âWe want the basis [for world powerâs negotiations with Iran] to be a credible military threat,â the occupation Prime Minister claimed.
âWe didnât necessarily agree on this with the Americans,â he added.
âIsraelâ and the US growing apart
Earlier, Lapid stated that he "made it clear to the president and his team that Israel opposes the nuclear deal and maintains complete diplomatic and operational freedom in the face of the Iranian nuclear program."
In a rare interview on Thursday, National Security Advisor Eyal Hulata stated that âIsraelâ was not afraid to express disagreements with the US on how to counter the Iranian threat.
"We are not afraid to tell the Americans that we think differently, or even to act in Iran," he said after meeting with Biden in an interview for Channel 13 news.
âIsrael will act as it sees fitâ
In a blatant confession of âIsraelâsâ sinister activities against Iran, Hulata said âIsraelâ had âacted quite a lot in Iran over the past year.â
âIsrael will act as it sees fit. Weâve acted quite a lot in Iran over the past year, and the US is backing us. We are acting with logic and responsibility, and everyone can see this isnât harming the relationship between the US president and Israel â on the contrary,â he told Channel 13.
âIsraelâsâ new shopping list!
Meanwhile, US Central Command (CENTCOM) Chief Michael Erik Kurilla arrived in âIsraelâ on Sunday to discuss the latter's air security systems, as âIsraelâ hopes to collaborate with Washington on the Iron Beam project, including US investment in further development and deployment of the system.
It is worth noting that Biden was given a tour of âIsrael'sâ multi-tier air systems on Wednesday, which included the long-range Arrow, medium-range David's Sling, short-range Iron Dome, and an in-development high-powered laser interception system called Iron Beam.
Amid reports of efforts to build an integrated air network for âIsraelâ to collaborate with Arab states that normalized ties with the Israeli occupation against Iran, a US official said, as quoted by The Times of "Israel", that the initiative is still in the works and that Biden's inspection of some of the technologies âIsraelâ exports to some of its allies would be a "nod" to such cooperation.
Meanwhile, experts have highlighted the âmodestâ achievements made after Bidenâs tours.
It seems that the division between âIsraelâ and the US is growing and the skirmish, which is now confined to covert remarks and signs of mutual dissatisfaction, will soon come out in the open.

Military option against Iran's nuclear program is crucial: IOF chief
IOF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi said that preparing a military response to Iran's nuclear program is a "moral obligation and a national security order" in a speech at a ceremony that marked the transition of the military's Home Front Command Chief.
Kochavi announced that âpreparing the home front for war is a task that must be accelerated in the coming years, especially in light of the possibility that we will be required to act against the nuclear threat.â
He added that the IOF âcontinues to prepare vigorously for an attack on Iran and must prepare for every development and every scenario.â
He stresses that such preparation is at the heart of the IOF's preparations, which comprise a range of operational plans, the allocation of numerous resources, the purchase of necessary weapons, intelligence, and training.
In parallel and earlier today, Israeli occupation Prime Minister Yair Lapid reportedly stated that the US and âIsraelâ did not "necessarily agree" on the need for a credible military threat against Iran, during talks with US President Joe Biden last week.

Qatari Emir: 'Israel' is a major source of tensions and instability
The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, pointed to "Israel" as the major source of tensions in West Asia, remarking that instability in the region will continue unless the occupying regime stops its violations of international law.
On Saturday, addressing the Jeddah Summit, the Sheikh asserted that the root causes of instability are the Israeli construction of illegal settlements, its attempts to change Al-Quds' demography, and its blockade on Gaza.
âThe major sources of tension and instability in the region are here to stay unless Israel stops its practices and violations of international law, including building colonial settlements, changing the character of Al-Quds and the continued blockade of Gaza,â the Qatari Emir said.
The Sheikh stressed the need to find a solution to the Palestine issue and that the struggle is a central cause for Arabs and Muslims.
On Sunday, Israeli Channel 13 reported that Israeli airlines are requesting Saudi Arabia to open its skies as soon as this week, just after Riyadh announced that it would allow the occupying regime to fly its carriers over Saudi skies. The move is thought by analysts to be a stepping stone on the Saudis' way to normalization with "Israel".
Saudi-Israeli normalization 'inevitable': Ex-US ambassador
Riyadh and "Tel Aviv" normalizing ties is "inevitable," former US ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Joseph Westphal said on Monday, urging US President Joe Biden to mend ties with the Kingdom during his upcoming trip to the Gulf state.
"I think [normalization is] coming, that's absolutely coming, and it's inevitable. It's inevitable," Westphal told the National News on Monday. Westphal used to be Washington's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia during the Obama administration from 2014 until 2017.
Recent efforts, such as a push by the Biden administration ahead of Biden's trip to the region that ended yesterday, have opened the door for the bolstering of ties.
The inevitability of normalization stems from the shift in Saudi Arabia's policy that will take place when Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman takes the place of his father, King Salman, Westphal said, calling the matter a "generational shift" while also citing Riyadh and "Tel Aviv's" common security and economic interests.
"King Salman, who I got to know very well when I was there as ambassador and have huge respect for him, he is from the generation that really believes that we should do more to help the Palestinian people," he added. MBS, though, "is of a different generation that sees the world with a different set of lenses."
Biden's visit to Saudi Arabia was described by the former diplomat as "extremely important" in the context of bilateral, regional, and global politics, especially in light of the schism that exists between Washington and Riyadh.
