Rep. Eric Swalwell’s (D-CA) congressional campaign reportedly continued his spending habits by racking up nearly $60,000 on travel expenses on trips to Miami Beach, Florida, and Paris, France.

In fact, the campaign’s $57,094 spending spree on travel expenses between April 1 and May 18 is only $10,000 less than the median household salary for Americans in 2020, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

The Swalwell campaign — which only has two official staffers — used the thousand in cash to pay for swanky hotel and airfare. The campaign spent $4,708 at Loews Miami Beach, where rooms range between $400 and $3,700 per night, according to Fox News. There was also $1,752 spent at the five-star La Maison Champs-Elysées Hotel in Paris, France, where rooms range from roughly $1,000 and $1,200 per night.

Fox News noted that the luxury hotels are “nowhere near his district,” meaning the campaign would have to dole out cash for airlines. The Swalwell campaign spent $13,312 to pay for flights on United Airlines, as well as $7,815 on American Airlines and $1,300 on Alaska Airlines.

Furthermore, the congressman dished out nearly $6,000 to embrace his luxury limo obsession, as well as $1,452 on Lyft rides and $1,055 on Uber rides, according to his campaign’s disclosures. Fox News noted that all of his travel expenses added up to be more than both the combined expenses for “communications consulting” and “fundraising services.”

It was reported last year that Swalwell spent thousands in campaign cash on alcohol and limousine services, in addition to over $20,000 at the same luxury hotel at which his wife works.

Swalwell’s campaign paid for the Californian’s 26 rides that he took in various limousine and luxury car services costing upwards of $10,000. Additionally, there was also the $26,000 that was spent on luxury hotels. According to the report, over $20,000 in funds from the campaign were spent at the Ritz Carlton and Half Moon Bay, where his wife happens to be the director of sales. Her LinkedIn profile shows that she’s worked at the company since February 2015.

The report noted that Swalwell also spent $566 on “Food & Beverage,” through the delivery service Drizly, which is a “platform that facilitates the delivery of alcohol.” This was done in nine separate orders ranging with a wide range from $5.79 to $124.86.

Swalwell, still in the second quarter, also spent $1,151 on “Refreshments” from Capitol Hill Wine and Spirits, which he did in seven trips. The liquor store is local to the House side of the U.S. Capitol and is roughly a nine-minute walk from his office. The report showed the campaign spent almost $4,400 for “Catering” and “Refreshments” at two California wineries on the same day.

Additionally, just last month, the California Democrat’s lawyer asked the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to allow the Swalwell, as a “well-known member of Congress,” to use donations to his congressional campaign to afford babysitters for his three children while he is on foreign government-sponsored business trips for his taxpayer-funded job.

The congressman’s campaign lawyer argued that his status as a “well-known member of Congress” and a “prolific fundraiser” has gotten him “many invitations” to go to events, “including invitations from foreign governments for information gathering visits,” which means he would be gone on overnight trips.

If the FEC expanded its rule, allowing candidates to spend campaign cash on “overnight childcare,” it would be a “perk” that is not available to more working Americans who are forced to pay for childcare out of pocket.

BUILDING”, [Mary] Fanning positively identified an Antifa and a Russian

Mary identified Sergei Dybynyn as a “Pro-Russian LDNR”, apparently keen on blaming Russia for helping stir the pot on 6 Janaury. He is not Pro-Russian. Sergei Dybynyn is affiliated with the neo-Nazi AZOV group. Take a close look at the following images.

 

One of the images shows Sergai Dybynyn standing next to the horned Viking (an actor that goes by the name of Jake Angeli AKA Jacob Anthony Chansley,

who has no public ties to Antifa). Dybynyn is affiliated with members

of the Ukrainian nationalist movement, some of which openly embrace extreme right-wing and fascist ideologies. Fanning’s claim about the source for Dybynyn's arrest warrant also is wrong, it was not issued by

the “Ukrainian Ministry of Interior” but rather by the Pro-Russian

separatist: “DSP of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LPR (Lugansk People’s Republic).”

 

As you can see for youself in the preceding image, the

actual identity of Sergai Dybynyn, who Mary Fanning misidentified

during the Capital riots as “pro-Russian”, has an arrest warrant issued

by the Lugansk People’s Republic, which is an ally of Russia. Before you

start screaming that the “Zhidobanderite” image on Ihor Kolomoysky’s

T-shirt was photoshopped, chill, this alliance/marriage of convenience with the ideology of the Právyi Séktor is well documented.

 

The next image provides a deeper dive into Dybynyn and three other related individuals wanted in the LPR arrest warrants. These photos come from their social media pages. All four are Ukrainian nationalists. Roman Bochkala, one of the wanted man, is a US Peace Crops volunteer in Ukraine who visits the US regularly and has attended training in the US (via the Open World program). Interestingly, he also seems to be frequent flyer on various US military aircrafts.If you are still not convinced about what these people really think about the Russians, check the message on Roman’s right hand bandage. (It reads, “F**k U Putin).

"We know of no other constitutional right that an individual may exercise only after demonstrating to government officers some special need. That is not how the First Amendment works when it comes to unpopular speech or the free exercise of religion. It is not how the Sixth Amendment works when it comes to a defendant’s right to confront the witnesses against him. And it is not how the Second Amendment works when it comes to public carry for self-defense," Thomas wrote.

Justice Stephen Breyer wrote an impassioned dissenting opinion in which he referenced present-day fervor over gun violence, as well as recent events. Joined by Justices Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor, Breyer cited statistics including 45,222 Americans killed by firearms in the U.S. in 2020, the number of mass shootings that have already taken place in 2022, and how gun violence is now the leading cause of death for children and adolescents.

 

"Many States have tried to address some of the dangers of gun violence just described by passing laws that limit, in various ways, who may purchase, carry, or use firearms of different kinds," Breyer wrote. "The Court today severely burdens States’ efforts to do so."

 

Justice Samuel Alito, in a concurring opinion, took issue with Breyer's references to recent shootings.

 

"Does the dissent think that laws like New York’s prevent or deter such atrocities? Will a person bent on carrying out a mass shooting be stopped if he knows that it is illegal to carry a handgun outside the home?" Alito asked. "And how does the dissent account for the fact that one of the mass shootings near the top of its list took place in Buffalo? The New York law at issue in this case obviously did not stop that perpetrator."

Breyer recognized legitimate purposes for guns, such as sport, self-defense, or types of employment like security guards, but he said it is the responsibility of elected officials to balance "these lawful uses against the dangers of firearms" when crafting legislation.

 

"That consideration counsels modesty and restraint on the part of judges when they interpret and apply the Second Amendment," he said.

GADSDEN, Ala. (WBMA) — A man trying to enter Walnut Park Elementary School in Gadsden was shot and killed during an altercation with a school resource officer Thursday morning, according to Etowah County Sheriff Jonathan Horton.

 

A person who was passing by the school reportedly saw the man trying to get into the school and called to report it.

 

Gadsden City Schools Superintendent Tony Reddick told ABC 33/40 that the man was aggressively trying to get into the building. Reddick said the man went to several doors trying to get in. When the principal saw this, they locked down the school and called the school resource officer who then called for backup.

 

Sheriff Horton said the man was shot outside of the school and the SRO, a Rainbow City police officer, who engaged the man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

 

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the man tried make forcible entry into a marked Rainbow City patrol vehicle. When the SRO attempted to stop him, ALEA officials said the man resisted and attempted to take the officer's gun.

 

ALEA officials said additional officers from the Gadsden Police Department responded to the scene to provide assistance.The man was shot and pronounced dead.

 

Authorities said all of the children who were at the school are safe and asked that the area be avoided.

Librarian Charged With Multiple HATE CRIMES For Spraypainting "Groomer" On MD Libraries Hosting Drag Events

 

A librarian who confessed to spraypainting "groomer" on two libraries targeting children with "Pride Story Time" events has been charged with "multiple hate crimes" and two counts of malicious destruction of property, Prince George's County Police announced on Thursday.

Prince George’s County Police detectives charged a man for vandalizing two public libraries in the county. These incidents occurred at the Greenbelt Branch Library and the New Carrollton Branch Library. The suspect is 30-year-old Charles Sutherland of Takoma Park.

 

The preliminary investigation revealed Sutherland spray-painted the word “groomer” on the exteriors of both buildings. The vandalism at the Greenbelt location occurred on June 4, 2022, and on June 9, 2022, at the branch in New Carrollton.

 

The PGPD assumed the investigation into these incidents on June 15, 2022.

 

Sutherland is charged with two counts of malicious destruction of property and multiple hate crimes related to defacing the building. He has confessed to the incidents.

 

Prince George's County is one of the most violent, high-crime areas in all of Maryland in large part due to their soft-on-crime policies treating hardened thugs like "gentle giants" but they'll throw the book at anyone who protests Drag Queen Grooming Hour.

Thousands of sheep drown with sunken Badr 1, an export ship, in the Red Sea port of Suakin, on Sunday. The vessel was exporting livestock from Sudan to Saudi Arabia. According to a Sudanese port official, the ship “was carrying 15,800 sheep.”

 

Another official said all crew members were rescued, however, this incident will have several economic and environmental consequences. In his statement, he outlined that the sunken ship will “likely have an environmental impact due to the death of the large number of animals carried by the ship”.

 

The livestock on the ship was valued at approximately $3.7M said Saleh Selim, the head of the association’s livestock division, as he called for an investigation into the accident. The port is already under investigation following a fire that blazed for several hours, and caused damage in the cargo area, earlier this month.

 

Furthermore, Omar Al-Khalifa, head of the national exporters’ association, said that the ship did not sink quickly. In fact, the ship took several hours to sink at the pier, meaning there was a window that suggested it “could have been rescued”. The animals were loaded on the vessel at the port of Suakin.

 

Al-Khalifa also added that approximately 700 sheep were rescued “but they were found very ill and we don’t expect them to live long”.

 

Suakin, Sudan's ancient port town, is no longer the country's primary trade hub; that honor now belongs to Port Sudan, 60 kilometers away along the Red Sea coast. Prior to the ousting of former President Omar Al-Bashir, there was an agreement, signed in 2017, with Turkey for the port’s rehabilitation. However, the political instability and the deposition of former Al-Bashir put that project on hold.

 

The coup that ousted the former president also marked the beginning of a financial crisis that still looms over Sudan.

California moved a step closer Wednesday to creating sites where people could legally use drugs under supervision designed to save them from dying if they overdose, over the objections of opponents who said the state would be enabling dangerous and illegal activity.

 

The full Assembly will now consider allowing test programs in Los Angeles, Oakland and San Francisco, more than a year after the proposal narrowly passed the state Senate.

 

“We know that we are experiencing a crisis of overdose deaths, and these are preventable," said Democratic Sen. Scott Wiener. “This is one way to help keep people safe and to actually help people get into treatment.”

 

Assembly Public Safety Committee members advanced the bill on a 5-2 vote after hearing conflicting statistics about the experiences in Canada, Europe, Australia and most recently two sites in New York City.

 

There has been not a single overdose death in the supervised sites, said Wiener and proponents of his bill.

 

But people still are dying around them, attracted to neighborhoods where drug use is overtly sanctioned by the government, countered opponents.

 

“There is a magnet effect so that people come into the area,” said John Lovell, testifying on behalf of the California Narcotic Officers’ Association and several other police organizations.

 

“What they’re proposing is addiction maintenance. … I think that we need to embrace addiction recovery," said Michael Shellenberger, author of a book entitled ”San Fransicko: Why Progressives Ruin Cities" and a no party preference candidate for California governor.

 

Clean needle exchanges were once also controversial, before they became a largely accepted way of minimizing the spread of HIV, hepatitis and other diseases that can be spread through the sharing of dirty needles, said Vitka Eisen, a former heroin user herself. She now heads the low-income health care provider HealthRIGHT 360 and sits on the boards of the California Council of Community Behavioral Health Agencies, California Association of Drug and Alcohol Program Executives, and National Council for Behavioral Health.

 

“In the face of a crisis, we must do things differently," she said, referring to the national onslaught of opioid deaths, often fed by the prevalence of fentanyl.

 

The governing bodies in each of the California jurisdictions have already asked to be included in the test program if Wiener's bill becomes law. It would remain up to them whether to go ahead and to what extent. The test programs would run until 2028, and the participating governments would have to split the cost of an independent study on the effectiveness of the program and its impact on the community, due by 2027.

 

Former Gov. Jerry Brown, a Democrat, vetoed a more limited proposal in 2018, saying then: “Fundamentally, I do not believe that enabling illegal drug use in government sponsored injection centers — with no corresponding requirement that the user undergo treatment — will reduce drug addiction.”

Complicated issue

Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, declined to comment on gene editing, saying it’s not "a presidential issue." Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova, when asked if Rebrikov’s proposal will get the greenlight, told Bloomberg that "an ethics committee will deal with this very complicated issue."

President Trump called for stronger standards of election integrity in the United States during remarks made at the American Freedom Tour near Memphis, Tennessee, on Saturday night.

President Alejandro Giammattei of Guatemala told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview last week that President Joe Biden should take more action to prevent drug trafficking out of Venezuela, suggesting that Biden’s decision to “negotiate oil” with the repressive Venezuelan socialist regime may be negatively impacting law enforcement efforts.

 

Giammattei spoke to Breitbart News’ Ashley Oliver in Washington, DC, last week, during a visit to address the Organization of American States (OAS), the 2022 International Religious Freedom Conference, and for meetings with Biden administration officials, among other appearances. In addition to discussing the transnational drug trade, Giammattei broached a wide range of topics including his advocacy for defending unborn children and communications woes with Vice President Kamala Harris, the White House’s point person on southern border policy.

 

Regarding drug trafficking, Giammattei, who previously ran Guatemala’s prison system, asserted that his conservative government is acting to intercept drug shipments to the best of its ability.

 

“You want to know how much we have seized in drugs just this year, from January to now?” he asked. “Poppy plants, we have passed 9 million. Kilos of cocaine, over 1,213 kilos of cocaine. Since I became president we have extradited 82 people for drug trafficking to the United States and 21 people for other crimes. Unprecedented statistics.”

 

Giammattei insisted that the blame for America’s drug problem lay with America.

 

“The fault is here and I will explain why: 50 percent of the drugs consumed in the world are consumed here. The pushers in the streets selling drugs, where does that money end up? In the banks here.”

 

“When we see every day the planes [with drug shipments] come down in Venezuela – which, it is known that in Venezuela is where the planes come down; which, there are negotiations with Maduro now,” he continued, “I hope they negotiate so that planes don’t leave with drugs from there – but 95 percent of the planes land in Venezuela and they come empty.”

 

The planes from Venezuela, Giammattei insisted, “don’t bring money, they come empty and they fly with drugs. Where is the money? Here. Here we have to control consumption and money laundering. Where? in the United States.”

 

“The effort of the United States to combat drugs has to begin with campaigns here and with partners there, us, working so that it doesn’t happen,” he concluded, asking, “why, if we know where the planes leave from, why has the United States done nothing to stop planes from leaving from Venezuela?”

 

“Ah! They are negotiating oil,” Giammattei observed.

 

The Guatemalan president referred to reports first surfacing in March that the Biden administration had sent envoys to Caracas to discuss buying Venezuelan oil with socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro. America does not formally recognize Maduro as the president of the country because, as per the Venezuelan constitution, he lost that title in 2019 when the National Assembly used its power to swear in Juan Guaidó as interim president. Nonetheless, Maduro confirmed in March that he had met with representatives from the White House for a “respectful, cordial, diplomatic” discussion.

 

Reports citing anonymous sources at the time claimed that the American diplomats were in Caracas to discuss the potential of lifting sanctions on Maduro’s oil industry and buying Venezuela’s product to replace Russian oil imports. Much of the West has advocated for, though not implemented, a boycott on Russian oil and natural gas in response to the ongoing invasion of Ukraine. Maduro is heavily indebted to Moscow, however, meaning any profits he makes selling oil to Washington would likely be used to pay off Russian loans, profiting the Kremlin, anyway.

 

The potential purchase of Venezuelan oil outraged Hispanic Americans across the political spectrum given Maduro’s years of human rights abuses against his own people, including killing child protesters, torturing political prisoners, and starving much of the population into one of the largest migrations in human history….
