What’s past is past. Why go into the bloody history of the UK if it’s just that: history?

 

Why go into Britain’s bloody massacres in Africa? Its slave trade? Or that Winston Churchill blamed India’s Bengal famine in World War II (1943), which was caused by food being exported to Britain from India, on the Indians themselves, as he famously said: “I hate Indians. They are a beastly people with a beastly religion. The famine was their own fault for breeding like rabbits.”

 

The major thing about history is that it’s so important because it informs the present, particularly when you choose not to apologize for it and continue the same traditions you once upheld. Particularly, in this instance, I’m referring to Britain’s lively tradition of imperialism that still informs its worldview and foreign policy.

 

Perhaps it is telling that a YouGov poll conducted in 2016 found that the British public is proud of the history of the British Empire and the role their country played in colonialism, with 43% of Britons saying they were “proud” of it, while only 21% said they regretted that it happened.

 

It is also telling, and amazingly so, that the British Ministry of Defense has claimed that its bombing campaign in Syria and Iraq between September 2014 and January 2021 resulted in 4315 casualties, only one of which was a civilian.

 

When asked by London-based research charity Action on Armed Violence (AOAV) for the number of civilian casualties that the British military caused around the world in the past 20 years, the MoD said that these numbers are not recorded.

 

However, digging a bit deeper into the history of UK interventions in the past 70 years, since Queen Elizabeth II took the throne, anyone can clearly see that there is a recurrent pattern of UK forces massacring civilians and trying to hide it under the pretense of the requirement of hard evidence to prove they are responsible.

 

This isn’t to suggest that the queen herself was behind these massacres, as her role is largely a ceremonial one. But she is, nevertheless, an influential figure in British politics and the Commonwealth Realm, and her silence on such matters as Britain causing irreparable harm to the world merely reflects an ambivalence that is characteristic of Britain’s attitude toward other nations.

Mexico will ask Biden to free Assange – president

 

President of Mexico has offered sanctuary to jailed WikiLeaks publisher

 

WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange has been treated “very unfairly” to the shame of the entire world, and Mexico has offered to take him in, President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador told reporters on Tuesday. He said he would bring up Assange’s case with his US counterpart Joe Biden when they meet in July.

 

The UK announced last week it would extradite the jailed journalist to the US, where he faces espionage charges and up to 175 years behind bars if convicted. The decision by UK Home Secretary Priti Patel was “very disappointing,” said Lopez, who also goes by his initials AMLO.

 

He also said he intends to ask Biden to drop charges against Assange when they meet next month. Such an action would go counter to the “hardliners in the US” but “humanity must prevail,” AMLO added.

 

What about freedoms? Are we going to remove the Statue of Liberty from New York?

 

“Julian Assange is the best journalist of our time in the world and he has been treated very unfairly, worse than a criminal,” AMLO said. “This is a shame for the world.”

 

Mexico is willing to provide Assange sanctuary if and when he is released, the president added, reminding reporters that he had called on the previous US administration to drop charges against Assange as “a prisoner of conscience.”

 

Assange, an Australian citizen, sought asylum in Ecuador in 2012, suspecting that Washington wanted him arrested and extradited over WikiLeaks publishing the documents about US wars in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2010. He spent the next seven years trapped at Ecuador’s embassy in London – as the UK refused him safe passage – until his asylum was revoked by a new US-friendly government in Quito.

 

British police dragged Assange out of the embassy in April 2019 and put him in the maximum-security Belmarsh prison in south London, where he remains to this day. Within a month of his arrest, the US unsealed an indictment charging him of offenses under the Espionage Act, for which he could face 175 years in prison. Assange has denied all allegations, and a key witness in Washington’s case against him admitted he lied in his testimony.

 

Canberra has not spoken up for Assange’s release, even though the recently elected Prime Minister Anthony Albanese had opposed the charges against the journalist during the election campaign. Albanese said Monday that he still believed Assange should go free, but that his government would not publicly intervene with the US on his behalf, because it “engages diplomatically and appropriately with our partners.”

Dave Clark, Architect Of Amazon's Shipping Network, Resigns After 23 Years

 

Executive to leave July 1, nearly two years after promotion to CEO of Worldwide Consumer unit

 

Dave Clark, who led the transformation of Amazon. com Inc. from a buying portal to one of the world’s leading transportation and logistics firms, said Friday that he has resigned from the company after 23 years, effective July 1. No successor has been named.

 

Clark, 48, announced his departure in a Twitter post. Amazon CEO Andy Jassy disclosed Clark’s decision in a blog post on the company’s site. Jassy said that Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) is “trying to be thoughtful in our plans for Dave’s succession and any changes we make.” Jassy said he will provide an update on succession plans within the next few weeks.

 

Clark, who headed Amazon’s Worldwide Consumer unit that included the retail platform and the supporting transport and logistics functions, said he had thought about leaving the company for some time. He gave no specific reason for departing other than to say it was time to try something new.

 

A source close to Amazon said that Clark’s announcement came as a surprise to everyone at the company. The source declined to speculate on the reasons behind the departure.

 

Clark was promoted to his current role in August 2020. The following February, Chairman and CEO Jeff Bezos, whom Clark worked closely with for more than two decades, stepped down to become executive chairman.

 

Clark’s two-year stint was marked by significant change within Amazon and for its business. Besides Bezos’ departure as CEO, the company has been buffeted by significant inflationary pressures that have crimped its profit margins. The company posted a huge net loss in the first quarter, as well as a decline in operating income. It is also looking to scale back, albeit moderately, the size of its fulfillment and distribution network after nearly doubling it during the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Clark invented the present-day Amazon transport and logistics network, which has been assembled mostly to provide one- to two-day deliveries of items ordered by subscribers to its Prime service. Amazon had plans on the drawing board to build a shipping network. However, the 2013 experience catalyzed the company to launch the initiative almost immediately, and to push it faster and further than what was originally conceived. Clark led the rapid-fire building of sortation centers, acquisition of trailers and recruitment of drivers. It has been said Amazon’s transport and logistics network would be nowhere nearly as formidable today had Clark not been there to shepherd it.

In responding quickly with its own corresponding Monday launches, the South Korean military described that "The tit-for-tat missile launches were aimed at demonstrating the ability to respond swiftly and accurately to North Korean attacks."

 

According to details in the AP, "The allies’ live-fire exercise involved eight Army Tactical Missile System missiles — one American and seven South Korean — that were fired into South Korea’s eastern waters across 10 minutes following notifications for air and maritime safety, according to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff and U.S. Forces Korea."

 

South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol affirmed that Seoul would remain firm in its response to its northern neighbor and rival. "We will make sure there isn't a single crack in protecting the lives and property of our people," he said.

 

Some pundits were quick to question whether this will have any deterrent effect whatsoever: unlikely, they said.

Digital World board of directors members received the subpoenas from the Southern District of New York jury on June 16. Like the previous SEC subpoena, the grand jury asked for the members to provide "various documents and information regarding, among other things, Digital World’s due diligence regarding TMTG [and] communications regarding and due diligence of potential targets other than TMTG."

 

The jury also requested information about the company's filings and communications with Rocket One Capital, Digital World stated in the SEC form.

 

Bruce Garelick, Rocket One Capital's chief strategy officer, according to Reuters, resigned from Digital World's board of directors.

 

Digital World said last week that it was on track to merge with TMTG, the parent company of Truth Social. This would allow Trump's technology business to be publicly traded.

In a Democracy, citizens in the majority make the rules, leaving those in the minority oppressed. Consequently, a Democracy is always noisy, divisive, divided, inefficient, unsteady, combustible, fiscally irresponsible, and short lived.

America was established as a Constitutional Republic to avoid the many ills of Democracy. In a Constitutional Republic, those elected must not do the bidding of the citizen majority. Rather, they must do what is best for their District (or State), despite the majority will. In this way, all citizens are represented equally, and no one is oppressed, making a Constitutional Republic quiet, steady, efficient, and preferred.

Although the word “democracy” feels good, it is founded on mob rule, making it akin to socialism, communism, and every other tyrannical form of government.

Finally, Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution resolves any doubt. “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government…”

 

Having exposed the greatest heist and cover-up in history, we are able to summarize. America and its assets were quietly hijacked, and the cover-up has resulted in unthinkable crimes against THE PEOPLE and humanity. Allowing the hostile takeover to stand will lead eventually to complete and irreversible subjugation and the eradication of truth, justice, and all that is good.

 

As with any negotiated peace after years of atrocities committed by parties at war, we seek neither vengeance nor demand justice for past transgressions. We entreat a bloodless solution, wherein you cease all destructive activities, including false flag events, dissolve US CORP and all other illicit legal structures and custodial instruments, return our land and assets, including our gold and silver, redirect the tax collected on our labor back to America, and have your “Deep State” and “Shadow Government” OPERATIVES retire, withdrawing your influence in an orderly fashion, so society continues to thrive, in trade for you keeping your wealth, your position, and your heads.

 

With grace, not afforded to we, the people, these demons were offered a peaceful solution. Instead, they stole an election to continue their rape and pillage of our world and humanity. Lawyers Colinford Mattis and Urooj Rahman pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges after burning an NYPD van during a George Floyd protest.

 

The pair of radical lawyers who torched an empty NYPD vehicle amid protests in Brooklyn over the police killing of George Floyd pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiracy charges in a deal struck with federal prosecutors.

 

The firebug attorneys, Colinford Mattis and Urooj Rahman, each copped to counts of conspiracy to commit arson and to make and possess an unregistered destructive device for firebombing the police van in Brooklyn on May 30, 2020, a spokesperson for the US Attorney’s Office said.

 

They had previously pleaded guilty to possessing a destructive device – but successfully fought prosecutors’ effort to give them a lengthy sentence under a “terrorism enhancement.”

 

Under the plea deal cemented Thursday, prosecutors will not seek the enhancement, and will request for a maximum sentence of two years in prison.

 

In a May court filing, prosecutors noted the federal probation department said the enhancement was too strong given their otherwise law-abiding lives.

 

“This increase appears to over-represent the maliciousness of the defendants’ intentions in committing the offense, while also negating the defendants’ otherwise law-abiding lives free of prior criminal convictions,” the federal probation department wrote.

The pair were arrested after Rahman tossed a Molotov cocktail at an empty NYPD van outside the 88th Precinct stationhouse in Fort Greene amid citywide uprisings in May 2020.

 

Mattis acted as the getaway driver in the caper, the feds charged. Mattis is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 5; Rahman will be sentenced on Sept. 29.

Any auto mechanics in the house tonight?

 

I had my aging car in for some front-end work this weekend and they replaced the struts, tie-rod ends, wheel bearings, calipers on both sides and, finally, a much needed alignment.

 

The thing drives MUCH better now but I noticed that they neglected to replace the sway bar link arms and all four boots are torn.

 

I have about a 100mi round trip to work each day and can't put the thing back in the shop as I work 10-12 hours a day six days a week. Besides, now knowing that the ass-clowns aren't capable of completing a visual inspection of parts needing replacement I'm hesitant to take another day off just to have them screw something else up while they're in there.

 

Is the sway bar link arms a job I can do in my driveway with some jack stands and will I need another alignment afterward?

I couldn't tell, I kept getting YT this channel ws deleted message. I kept trying different YTdownload programs and 9convert worked. I was hoping it would be able to work off some cache or something. Got lucky and saved it before memory holed
