Embattled Wyoming GOP Rep. Liz Cheney is urging Democrats in her state to switch parties to support her August 16 primary reelection bid.

 

Cheney, who is polling far behind her Trump-endorsed primary challenger, sent out campaign mail last week to Wyoming voters with instructions on how to change their party affiliation to vote for her.

 

Her campaign website also now has a link to a form for changing parties.

 

According to The New York Times, Wyoming Democratic Party Chairman Joseph Barbuto was among those who received the instructions.

 

Barbuto also says his social media feeds have been flooded with Democrats posting about receiving the Cheney mailers.

The landmark ruling, Roe v. Wade, which protected a womanโ€™s right to an abortion at the federal level was overturned by the Supreme Court on Friday. Democratic lawmakers are now calling for the expansion of the Supreme Court which is currently a conservative majority, but President Joe Biden said does not agree with such a reform.

Democrats across the nation are urging for additional justices to be appointed to the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) in order to balance what has become a heavily conservative court.

Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren has suggested this week that the matter of expanding SCOTUS is urgent after justice Clarence Thomas indicated that he is also considering overturning other precedents which protect the use of contraception, same-sex marriage, and consensual gay sex. Earlier, SCOTUS overturned New Yorkโ€™s concealed carry law, despite a mass shooting in Buffalo as well as an overall increase in shootings in New York City.

"We need to balance out this court before they do more harm than what they've done thus far," said New York City Mayor Eric Adams at a press conference on Friday, where he said he would not be mayor today if his previous partner had not gotten an abortion when he was 15. Adams called court expansion โ€œcriticalโ€.

Israel Strikes Military Positions In Gaza Following Rocket Attack On Ashkelon (Videos)

 

On June 18, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) carried out a series of strikes on positions of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Hamas Movement, in the Gaza Strip.

Ivermectin โ€” 0.2 to 0.3 mg/kg, daily for up to 4 to 6 weeks. Ivermectin has potent anti-inflammatory properties. It also binds to the spike protein, aiding in the elimination by the host. It is likely that ivermectin and intermittent fasting act synergistically to rid the body of the spike protein.

 

Ivermectin is best taken with or just following a meal for greater absorption. A trial of ivermectin should be considered as first line therapy. It appears that patients can be grouped into two categories: i) ivermectin responders and ii) ivermectin nonresponders.

Low dose naltrexone (LDN) โ€” Begin with 1 mg/day and increase to 4.5 mg/day, as required. May take 2 to 3 months to see full effect. LDN has been demonstrated to have anti-inflammatory, analgesic and neuromodulating properties.

 

Melatonin โ€” 2 to 6 mg slow release/extended release prior to bedtime. Melatonin has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and is a powerful regulator of mitochondrial function. The dose should be started at 750 mcg (ฮผg) to 1 mg at night and increased as tolerated. Patients who are slow metabolizers may have very unpleasant and vivid dreams with higher doses.

 

Aspirin โ€” 81 mg/day. (Please note: I do not agree with the routine use of aspirin, and recommend proteolytic enzymes such as lumbrokinase and serrapeptase on an empty stomach instead. Both serve to digest unwanted proteins in your blood, like blood clots.

 

They also help combat inflammation and rebalance your immune system, facilitating the removal of inflammatory proteins, removing fibrin โ€” a clotting material that restricts blood flow and prolongs inflammation โ€” reducing edema in inflamed regions, and boosting the potency of macrophages and killer cells.)

 

Vitamin C โ€” 1000 mg orally three to four times a day. Vitamin C has important anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and immune-enhancing properties, including increased synthesis of type I interferons. It is important to note that these high doses are a pharmaceutical application of vitamin C and NOT recommended for daily use. It is far better to use whole food vitamin C and not ascorbic acid for daily use. Vitamin D and Vitamin K2 โ€” A dose of 4,000 to 5,000 units/day of vitamin D, together with vitamin K2 100 mcg/day is a reasonable starting dose. The dose of Vitamin D should be adjusted according to the baseline vitamin D level.

 

Quercetin โ€” 250 to 500 mg/day (or mixed flavonoids). Flavonoids have broad spectrum anti-inflammatory properties, inhibit mast cells, and have been demonstrated to reduce neuroinflammation.

 

Due to a possible drug interaction between quercetin and ivermectin, these drugs should not be taken simultaneously (i.e., should be staggered morning and night). The use of quercetin has rarely been associated with hypothyroidism.

 

The clinical impact of this association may be limited to those individuals with preexistent thyroid disease or those with subclinical thyroidism. Quercetin should be used with caution in patients with hypothyroidism and TSH levels should be monitored.

"This interview with Professor Milton P. Siegel, who for 24 years was the Assistant Director General of the World Health Organization, was recorded in 1992 by Dr. Stephen D. Mumford, President of the Center for Research on Population and Security. This is the first time that it has been made available to the public.

 

Because of his position and the length of his tenure, Professor Siegel is considered among the world's foremost authorities on the development of World Health Organization policy. In this interview, he reveals the influence of the Vatican in shaping WHO policy, particularly in blocking adoption of the concept that overpopulation is a grave public-health threat โ€“ a concept which, in WHO's early years, enjoyed a broad consensus among member countries.

 

Without this separation of population dynamics from WHO public-health policy, the Vatican would have found it much more difficult to subsequently manipulate governments on such issues as family planning and abortion. National leaders would have been able to refer to the international consensus, as demonstrated by WHO policy. WHO, they could have insisted, has determined that family planning and abortion โ€“ like clean water, good nutrition, and immunizations โ€“ are necessary to protect public health.

 

Professor Siegel decided to speak out on the subject. As he was involved in the WHO at an early stage, his personal experience provides ample evidence that the Vatican influenced WHO policy development from the outset, during the early period of the Interim Commission in 1946. In its 63-year history, this international health body has had a deplorable record in family planning. Its commitment has been minuscule, and even today family planning accounts for only a tiny fraction of its budget.

 

Professor Siegel joined the World Health Organization in 1946, when it was still in its formative stages โ€“ under the umbrella of the United Nations, created just the year before. Because of his earlier work in North America and the Middle East, he was asked, in effect, to be one of WHO's "founding fathers". So he came on board on the senior staff of the Interim Commission. Dr. Brock Chisholm of Canada was the Executive Director of the Commission, which set up the permanent organization with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. On Sunday, Modernaโ€™s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Paul Burton announced the vaccine maker had officially kicked off phase 1 โ€œhuman trialsโ€ for its new two-in-one Flu-Covid jab.

 

According to Burton, who spoke exclusively with 9News Australia, phase one clinical trials for the hybrid vaccine are currently underway and progressing on schedule, with the new treatment expected to be rolled out between late 2023 and early 2024.

โ€œA phase one trial of a combination flu and Covid vaccine is currently underway. Moderna plans to have that vaccine ready by next year or by early 2024.โ€

 

Modernaโ€™s CMO also announced that the company is currently working on a โ€œtriple-threatโ€ vaccine that will be made available sometime in 2024 or 2025, following the rollout of the hybrid โ€˜Flu-Ronaโ€™ vaccine. The third-generation treatment will also target a lung infection called respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), which is a common, contagious virus that causes infections of the respiratory tract, according to the CDC.

 

Just like with Covid, RSV has an extremely low mortality rate for the vast majority of people. But, the sCiEnCe says we need another experimental vaccine โ€“ and you must take it.

 

Initial โ€œhuman trialsโ€ for this triple vaccine are also expected to begin by the end of this year.

 

Burton explained:

 

โ€œWe have a three-in-one, which is Covid, Flu, and something called RSV. These are all respiratory pathogens that kill people young and old every year.โ€

 

Despite the undeniable failure of the vaccineโ€™s effectiveness, Burton described the experimental hybrid treatment as necessary, especially in the face of the new Omicron subvariants that are spreading across the west. He promoted Modernaโ€™s latest iteration of the mRNA vaccine โ€“ the also-failed, Omicron-specific boosters โ€“ as the temporary solution until the new version is rolled out next year.

CJD is a โ€œrareโ€ disease that is caused by abnormal infectious proteins in the brain called โ€œprions,โ€ according to NHS. Although the presence of prions is not necessarily dangerous or deadly, the proteins will cause degenerative brain disease if they become diseased or misfolded. At the time of the studyโ€™s publication, a whopping 20 out of the 26 CJD patients had already passed away from the disease. Despite traditionally taking as much as a decade to manifest with symptoms, the symptoms showed up just 11.38 days post-vaccination. Former Australian Foreign Minister Bob Carr demanded on Monday that the US abandon its prosecution of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.

 

Last week, Britain's Priti Patel approved the extradition of Assange to the US, causing a global uproar.

 

Amnesty International warned that the extradition of Assange would put him at great risk and send a chilling message to journalists around the world.

Carr stated in an op-ed for the Sydney Morning Herald that Assange's conviction contrasted sharply with the US pardoning of former military intelligence officer Chelsea Manning, who provided the classified information to Wikileaks.

 

Carr stated that this was newly elected Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's "most potent argument" for Assange's release.

 

According to Carr, "If Albanese asks, my guess is America will agree."

 

"Our new prime minister can say: 'We're not fans of the guy either, Mr. President, but it's gone on long enough. We're good allies. Let this one drop.'"

 

During his campaign, Albanese is reported to have said "enough is enough," adding that he could not "see what purpose is served" by the ongoing saga against Assange.

 

Australia's previous conservative government did not openly lobby for Assange's release for much of the last decade.

 

The long-running legal saga began in 2010 after Assange published more than 500,000 documents classified in the US regarding war crimes committed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

 

Stella Morris, the wife of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, had told ABC radio that the Australian government has discussed the case with its US counterparts.

 

"My understanding is that the Australian government is raising it and that is extremely welcome news," she stated.

71 percent donโ€™t want Biden to run for reelection: poll

 

Seven in 10 Americans say they do not want President Biden to run for a second term, according to a new poll that comes as Bidenโ€™s approval numbers remain low and his party braces for losses this November.

 

A Harvard CAPSโ€“Harris Poll survey shared exclusively with The Hill found that 71 percent of respondents polled do not think Biden should run for a second term, compared to 29 percent who say he should run.

 

Among the contingent of respondents who believe the president should not run, 45 percent said Biden should not make another bid because he is a bad president, while about one-third of respondents said he is too old and about one-quarter said because it is time for a change.

Broken down by party, 53 percent of Republicans polled and 64 percent of Democrats said they would consider a moderate independent candidate in that situation.

 

The development comes as Biden continues to suffer low approval ratings. The Harvard CAPSโ€“Harris Poll survey found that the president has an overall approval rating of 38 percent, with respondents giving him low marks on handling inflation (28 percent), the economy (32 percent), stimulating jobs (43 percent) and reacting to COVID-19 (50 percent), among other issues.

 

Democrats are already bracing for losses this November given Bidenโ€™s low approval numbers and the historical precedent that a first-term presidentโ€™s party generally suffers losses in the midterm elections.

 

In the wake of the Supreme Courtโ€™s ruling last week overturning Roe v. Wade, Democrats have used abortion as an issue to galvanize voters, though it is unclear how the issue will compare to inflation and other concerns in November.

 

The polling also demonstrates that while Trump is considered one of the most influential people within his party, Americans may not necessarily be married to the idea of voting for him in 2024.

 

Some of that comes against the backdrop of the House Jan. 6 select committee hearings, which have sought to show how the former president and his allies tried to get state officials and others like former Vice President Mike Pence to overturn the 2020 election results.

 

The Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey was conducted on June 28 and 29 with 1,308 registered voters surveyed. It is a collaboration of the Center for American Political Studies at Harvard University and the Harris Poll.

ROME โ€“ Pope Francis added fuel to rumors about the future of his pontificate by announcing he would visit the central Italian city of L'Aquila in August for a feast initiated by Pope Celestine V, one of the few pontiffs who resigned before Pope Benedict XVI stepped down in 2013.

 

Italian and Catholic media have been rife with unsourced speculation that the 85-year-old Francis might be planning to follow in Benedictโ€™s footsteps, given his increased mobility problems that have forced him to use a wheelchair for the last month.

 

Those rumors gained steam last week when Francis announced a consistory to create 21 new cardinals scheduled for Aug. 27. Sixteen of those cardinals are under age 80 and eligible to vote in a conclave to elect Francisโ€™ successor.

Fears of Human Trafficking as Thousands of Child Migrants Go Missing In Austria

 

Nearly 4,500 underage migrants who applied for asylum in Austria last year have reportedly gone missing, prompting concerns some may have fallen victim to human traffickers.

 

Figures from the Austrian Interior Ministry reveal that 78 per cent of the 5,770 supposedly underage migrants who tried to claim asylum in Austria last year, 4,489 individuals cannot be accounted for.

 

The figures became known following a question to the government by NEOS party MP Stephanie Krisper.

 

Of the 5,770 underage migrants, the majority, 3,401, are said to be Afghan nationals, followed by 1,345 Syrians and smaller numbers from Somalia, Pakistan, Egypt, and Bangladesh, Austrian newspaper Der Standard reports.

 

Lisa Wolfsegger of the NGO Asylum Coordination commented on the statistics, saying: โ€œImagine that in one year around 180 school classes simply disappeared without a trace. Where have all these children gone?โ€

 

While Wolfsegger noted that many of the underage migrants may have simply exploited the European Unionโ€™s open borders Schengen regime to travel to other European countries undetected, some may have fallen victim to human traffickers.

 

The disappearance of underage asylum seekers is reportedly not being properly investigated by Austrian authorities as no governing authority has custody of them.

 

Austrian federal states only assume the obligation of custody after the minors are transferred to their care.

 

Only the city of Vienna makes an exception for minor asylum seekers in the asylum process โ€” if the children are said to be under the age of 14.

 

The statistics are alarming in the wake of the wave of the arrival of millions of Ukrainian refugees to Europe, most of which are either women or children, with some of the latter unaccompanied.

 

Last month, European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson expressed concerns that Ukrainian refugee children could become targets of human traffickers, saying โ€œThere is a huge risk of trafficking in vulnerable children.โ€

 

Johansson noted that unaccompanied children, some of whom have been born to surrogate mothers in Ukraine, could be exploited or abducted.

Bay Area jolted by 4.1-magnitude earthquake

A 4.1-magnitude earthquake jolted the Bay Area Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake was detected northwest of Bay Point, and appeared to be most acutely felt by East Bay residents.

No damage was immediately reported as a result of the temblor.
