7 hospitalised, 700 evacuated after fire in facility run by Deepak Nitrite in Vadodara

A Vadodara fire brigade official said a powerful explosion also occurred when the fire started spreading in the factory during the evening, adding that 10 fire tenders are at the spot to douse the blaze. The company in a filing said a response team was rushed to the spot and the plant operations are expected to resume in a day or two after due permissions. The cause of fire is being investigated, the company added.
