I know a woman who, when she was unwed and in her early 20s, back in the early 1970s, was told by her doctor that she should have an abortion because the pregnancy would be dangerous to her health. She believed the doctor and got the abortion. I wonder now, how many doctors back then were not interested at all in the health of the mother, but were just trying to scare women into getting an abortion.
The Catholic Church was given the task of RINO in telling women to have lots & lots of kids and condemning any use of birth control. Catholic hospitals were refusing to do vasectomies or tubal ligations. And they demonized the use of birth control pills. For some reason, they never seemed to have a problem with men using rubbers though, as far as I know anyways.
