Walorski Statement on Senate Acquittal of President Trump
U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) today released the following statement after the Senate acquitted President Trump on both articles of impeachment:
“Now that President Trump has been acquitted by the Senate, the country can finally move past this divisive impeachment charade. Speaker Pelosi’s failed attempt to have the president removed from office and the ballot was driven by the worst kind of partisan politics, and the American people deserved better. Now it’s time for Congress to focus on the optimistic agenda President Trump laid out in his State of the Union Address. I look forward to continuing our work to make our country stronger, safer, and more prosperous, and to make sure working families have a chance to achieve the American Dream.”
