Actually, I was trying to think of the spanish word for fan, but pulled a blank.
I stopped behind a school in the next town over a while back and asked for directions as I was lost. The guy, who was dumping trash went in and got his supervisor, who was Spanish but at least spoke broken English.
Sandwich shop up the street had a guy who was doing cashier duty. Asked him a question about my order, and he had to go ask a guy in the back who came out because he couldn't speak English.
Are people in the US who can't speak English more prevalent than most people think?
