>>>I think to claim that the moon is a hologram, or some such, (which you didn't do, but I've seen that) is a bit asinine…

I think you should be more humble and learn to ask questions, like a real scientist, rather than to think the Jesuit-inspired education from your childhood is golden.

Yep, you'll be in the hospital when the truth comes out.

Here, debunk this Mr. Snopes:

Why can one see stars through the dark side of the moon?

“On the 15th of March, 1848, when the moon was seven and a half days old, I never saw her unillumined disc so beautifully. . . . On my first looking into the telescope a star of about the 7th magnitude was some minutes of a degree distant from the moon’s dark limb. I saw that its occultation by the moon was inevitable. . . . The star, instead of disappearing the moment the moon’s edge came in contact with it, apparently glided on the moon’s dark face, as if it had been seen through a transparent moon; or, as if a star were between me and the moon. . . .

I have seen a similar apparent projection several times. . . . The cause of this phenomenon is involved in impenetrable mystery.”

Earth people are funny. Get your edumuhcation handed down from Jesuit sources (yes, the Jesuits came up with the globe earth model after thousands of years of belief otherwise - see L'Maitre).

Do you actually believe that modern man is superior to the ancients, which encoded knowledge of the universe in musical scales, architecture, etc.?

Are you too set in your beliefs to even read the referenced information because, as far as your concerned, the "psyence is settled"?

Yes, I have seen stars shine through what should have been the moon - BECAUSE I LOOKED with a question.

I've also seen the very unusual shadows cast through the trees during a solar eclipse as well as the translucent globes around the sun in photographic evidence. Again, BECAUSE I LOOKED with a question.

Don't know why you started this thread. Doesn't prove/debunk a damn thing.

But, your attitude is understandable as Man will not search for what he believes he already possesses. Especially true with consciousness.
