Czechia has exhausted its arms reserves supporting Ukraine, Czech PM reveals

 

Petr Fiala assured Ukraine that Czechia intends to continue supporting the country militarily, but will first need to replenish its resources

 

Czechia has exhausted its stockpile of arms in helping Ukraine to defend itself following the invasion of Russian forces, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala revealed on Thursday.

 

Following a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who thanked the Czech government for both its military and humanitarian support for Ukraine, Fiala said Czechia’s resources will need to be topped up before it can provide any more help on the front line.

 

“Our stockpiles of Soviet-era weapon systems are dwindling and will need to be replenished,” Fiala told reporters.

 

The Czech leader insisted the ongoing crisis unfolding in Ukraine will be a top priority during the upcoming Czech presidency of the EU, with Czechia intending to continue to support the Ukrainian army with weapons, as well as technical support and training.

 

In this context, he mentioned that Germany recently promised to donate Leopard 2A4 tanks to the Czech Republic as compensation for Czechia handing over its heavy weapons to Ukraine.

 

Fiala also said his government is determined to meet its NATO commitment and increase its defense spending to at least 2 percent of GDP by 2024.

 

After a brief meeting, Stoltenberg said that he also spoke with Fiala about the forthcoming NATO summit in Madrid, which will discuss whether the defense organization will soon expand by two new members, Finland and Sweden. Fiala said that the Czech Republic would support the membership of the Nordic countries.

Far from an expert, but for simplest and adding your own text -

remove.bg is a great site for getting rid of background.

Just drag the cap from your desktop screen into the remove.bg site and choose "desktop" where to save it. This will allow more room for your preferred text instead of having to squeeze it into the image's original background.

 

Then open Pages (if ios), or whatever Microsoft's word processor is, and drag your images from desktop into the document. Arrange them however you want, allowing for whatever space you want for your text.

(CNN) White House officials are losing confidence that Ukraine will ever be able to take back all of the land it has lost to Russia over the past four months of war, US officials told CNN, even with the heavier and more sophisticated weaponry the US and its allies plan to send.

 

Advisers to President Joe Biden have begun debating internally how and whether Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should shift his definition of a Ukrainian "victory" – adjusting for the possibility that his country has shrunk irreversibly.

 

US officials emphasized to CNN that this more pessimistic assessment does not mean the US plans to pressure Ukraine into making any formal territorial concessions to Russia in order to end the war. There is also hope that Ukrainian forces will be able to take back significant chunks of territory in a likely counteroffensive later this year.

 

A congressional aide familiar with the deliberations told CNN that a smaller Ukrainian state is not inevitable. "Whether Ukraine can take back these territories is in large part, if not entirely, a function of how much support we give them," the aide said. He noted that Ukraine has formally asked the US for a minimum of 48 multiple launch rocket systems, but to date has only been promised eight from the Pentagon.

 

And not everyone in the administration is as worried – some believe Ukrainian forces could again defy expectations, as they did in the early days of the war when they repelled a Russian advance on the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv. National security adviser Jake Sullivan has remained highly engaged with his Ukrainian counterparts and spent hours on the phone last week discussing Ukrainian efforts to recapture territory with Ukraine's defense chief and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley, officials familiar with the call told CNN.

 

The growing pessimism comes as Biden is meeting with US allies in Europe, where he will try to convey strength and optimism about the trajectory of the war as he rallies leaders to stay committed to arming and supporting Ukraine amid the brutal fight.

 

"We have to stay together. Putin has been counting on from the beginning, that somehow NATO and the G7 would splinter, but we haven't and we're not going to," Biden said Sunday while at the G7 summit in the Bavarian Alps.

 

The administration announced another $450 million in security assistance to Ukraine last week, including additional rocket launch systems, artillery ammunition and patrol boats. The US is also expected to announce as soon as this week that it has purchased an advanced surface-to-air missile defense system, called a NASAMS, for Ukrainian forces. Biden indicated in an op-ed earlier this month that he is committed to helping Ukraine gain the upper hand on the battlefield so that it has leverage in negotiations with Russia.

 

The mood has shifted over the last several weeks, though, as Ukraine has struggled to repel Russia's advances in the Donbas and has suffered staggering troop losses, reaching as many as 100 soldiers per day. Ukrainian forces are also burning through their equipment and ammunition faster than the West can provide and train them on new, NATO-standard weapons systems.

 

A US military official and a source familiar with Western intelligence agreed it was unlikely that Ukraine would be able to mass the force necessary to reclaim all of the territory lost to Russia during the fighting – especially this year, as Zelensky said on Monday was his goal. A substantial counteroffensive might be possible with more weapons and training, the sources said, but Russia may also have an opportunity to replenish its force in that time, so there are no guarantees.

 

"Much hinges on whether Ukraine can retake territory at least to February 23 lines," said Michael Kofman, a Russian military expert at the Center for Naval Analyses. "The prospect is there, but it's contingent. If Ukraine can get that far, then it can likely take the rest. But if it can't, then it may have to reconsider how best to attain victory."

On 10 August 2004, the transnational corporation, with the consent of the Ministry of Labour, revoked Sinaltrainal’s by-laws, thus hindering membership by outsourced workers. The company tried to persuade judges to declare illegal Sinaltrainal sections in Bogotá, Girardot, Santa Marta, Cali and Villavicencio, among others, but it did not succeed. It has tried this several times, and now we face case N° 0240-2012 in the Bogotá Labor Court, where the Coca Cola Villavicencio bottling plant is again requesting that the union be declared illegal. Coca Cola has also tried – with no success – to get a permit from judiciary to fire labor leaders.

 

In order to terrorize workers so they either do not join Sinaltrainal or give up such membership, they use the ploy of criminalizing the victims: the corporation administration carries on systematic stigmatization campaigns against Sinaltrainal memberss by publishing images of workers and their families, accusing the union members of vandalism and damage to property, or gathering workers against their will so as to show them “graphics” accusing members of Sinaltrainal of being the guilty ones. They have caused moral and material damages, putting life and the integrity of several members of Sinaltrainal5 at stake, because they have been involved in criminal cases charging unionists with slander, calumny, damage to property, conspiracy to commit crime, rebellion and terrorism, among other things, with at least 12 leaders of Sinaltrainal unfairly imprisoned. An arrest warrant was issued against them, and the corporation took advantage of this to give them notice of dismissal for “just cause”. But the company was compelled to rehire them when they were acquitted.6

 

In order to hinder freedom of association, the transnational corporation militarizes repression for protesting. As in many other cases, there are the events that happened in the Medellín bottling plant on 17 December 2010, where police entered with armored cars to force removal of subcontracted and Sinaltrainal affiliated workers that refused to move the distribution vehicles. Some individuals, on behalf of Coca Cola and escorted by policemen, went to the workers’ homes with dismissal notices for them.

 

The social, political and armed conflict that continues in Colombia after more than 50 years is used as a pretext by the state and by transnationals such as Coca Cola to carry out an anti-trade union policy, aiming to link trade union activities, workers’ claims and protests with actions by outlaw organizations or organizations guilty of violent crimes. Several members of Sinaltrainal that work for Coca Cola bottling companies have been unjustifiably accused by the Administrative Department of Security (DAS) of being a danger for national security. Coca Cola has been implicated in having links to and supporting the war that the state security forces are carrying on. An example of this is the gathering of people from Coca Cola bottling plants in February 2010 on the military base of Tolemaida. Under the slogan “Guided by Pride” and dressed in military uniforms, they participated in war maneuvre training.7

STRANGE THINGS IN THE SKY, COURTESY OF SPACEX: On Sunday morning, June 19th, SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral (0427 UT) carrying a Globalstar communications satellite. Within hours, people around the world started seeing strange things in the sky. First came the "smoke ring." Jerrod Wood video recorded it from central Illinois:

 

"I believe it shows the orbital insertion of the Globalstar FM15 satellite," says Wood.

 

He's right. Almost two hours after launch, the upper stage of the Falcon 9 rocket deployed the Globalstar satellite; the smoke ring Wood saw was the "puff" of separation. At the time, the rocket was more than 1100 km high, so people were able to see it across much of North America. Check out these images: from Arizona, Missouri, Iowa and California.

 

An hour after the smoke ring, things got really strange. Sky watchers in New Zealand saw this:

 

"I went out to watch the midnight launch," says Cortner. "Here in western North Carolina, I was hoping for a faint, moonlit 'jellyfish'–the kind of display we see after many SpaceX launches." But that's not what happened.

 

"The rocket's trajectory was much higher than I expected," he continues. "It was almost 500 km high by the time it was due east of me, not 150-200 km like most SpaceX flights up the Atlantic coast. As a result, the rocket passed by unseen."

 

"Instead, I noticed this red glow spreading along the flight path a minute or two after the rocket's closest approach," he says. "It looked like the aurora borealis."

 

Could it have been auroras? Probably not. Low-latitude red auroras typically appear only during strong geomagnetic storms. At the time of the photo, however, global geomagnetic activity was low (Kp=3); there was no space weather event in progress.

 

There has been much discussion on the web about a covert payload hitchiking on this Falcon 9 rocket. Analysts believe that a clandestine satellite may have been released about 10.5 minutes after launch. This is strikingly similar to the time Cortner witnessed the red glow over North Carolina. Moreover, a photographer in Ohio may have witnessed the same thing.

More than a dozen fire crews have been called to a fire at a major power substation south of Sydney, with Fire and Rescue NSW reporting multiple explosions at the site.

The smoke emanating from the site is not toxic, but residents in nearby suburbs are being urged to stay indoors

 

Fire and Rescue NSW around 80 firefighters were called to the site on Yallah Road, Wollongong on Saturday afternoon.

 

Authorities say there are no reports of injuries, although one person was evacuated from the site.

 

The blaze is having no impact on the nearby Tallawarra Power Station and will not impact the electricity supply to customers.

 

One transformer at the substation is fully alight while a second is at risk.

 

Fire and Rescue NSW said approximately 1,000 litres of oil is being contained.

 

A large smoke plume from the blaze is affecting nearby Wollongong and Unanderra, with flights at nearby Shellharbour Airport delayed.

 

Fire and Rescue NSW urged residents to stay indoors with windows and doors closed until air quality improves.

 

"The fire is not escalating and emergency services are now preparing to extinguish the fire," a Transgrid spokesperson said.

 

"All personnel on site are accounted for and safe.

 

"The smoke emanating from the site is not toxic. This will continue for some time."

The World Health Organization (WHO) has admitted that the very lockdown policies it advocated for have been instrumental in a drastic increase in mental health issues on a global scale.

 

In a report published on Friday, the World Health Organization claimed that anxiety and depression rose globally by a staggering 25 per cent in the first year of Chinese coronavirus lockdowns, alone. As a result, the report estimated that over one billion people worldwide are now suffering from mental health issues.

 

“Restrictions imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic for example had significant mental health consequences for many, including stress, anxiety or depression stemming from social isolation, disconnectedness and uncertainty about the future,” the W.H.O. stated.

 

The W.H.O. not only was instrumental in spreading Communist Chinese propaganda about the ability of the coronavirus to spread from human to human but was also a keen supporter of lockdown policies in response to the virus, which were inspired by Beijing’s draconian reaction to the Wuhan virus.

 

The Marxist chief of the W.H.O., Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who came to power — despite never working as a medical doctor — with the backing of Beijing, was an early and outspoken advocate of lockdowns and warned against lifting restrictions too soon, despite warnings from critics of the mental health implications.

 

The report found that child sexual abuse and bullying were chief contributors to the rise in depression, with younger age groups being particularly impacted by lockdown policies.

 

“Globally there was also a greater change in prevalence among younger age groups than older ones, potentially reflecting the deep impact of school closures and social restrictions on youth mental health,” the W.H.O. report said.

 

“For some children and adolescents, being made to stay at home is likely to have increased the risk of family stress or abuse, which are known risk factors for mental health problems,” it added.

 

The mental health issues facing children during lockdowns have been longstanding. A report from leading British UK universities in July of last year found that nearly five times as many children died of suicide compared to the virus during the first year of lockdowns.

 

“The risk of removal of [children and young people] from their normal activities across education and social events may prove a greater risk than that of SARS-CoV-2 itself,” the study claimed.

 

Other mental health specialists have warned that children have increasingly begun experiencing “locked-in trauma”, in which they find it hard to make friends, interact with others, and even experience anxiety over playing with other children.

The Special Counsel Proved The FBI Belongs To The Swamp

‘The FBI is our institution that should not be used as a political tool for anyone; not Republicans, not Democrats, not anyone.’

 

Yesterday, after less than one full day of deliberations, a D.C. jury stacked with pro-Hillary Clinton jurors acquitted former Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann, proving the FBI is not “ours” but the swamp’s.

 

Just more than two weeks ago, prosecutor Brittain Shaw began opening statements in United States v. Sussmann, by stating the obvious: “Some people have very strong feelings about politics and about Russia, and many people have strong feelings about Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.”

 

“But we are not here because these allegations involve either of them,” Shaw continued. “Nor are we here because the defendant’s client was the Clinton campaign.” Rather, “we are here because the FBI is our institution that should not be used as a political tool for anyone; not Republicans, not Democrats, not anyone.”

 

But after hearing overwhelming evidence that Sussmann lied when he told the then-FBI General Counsel James Baker he was providing data and whitepapers about a supposed secret communications channel between Trump and the Russian-based Alfa Bank on his own behalf, when in fact Sussmann was representing both the Clinton campaign and tech executive Rodney Joffe, the 12 D.C. residents found Sussmann not guilty.

 

It was not the verdict, however, that confirmed that the FBI belongs to career bureaucrats, high-powered D.C. elites who revolve in and out of the government as political appointees, and the families and friends of all the above. Rather, it was the speed with which the acquittal came, coupled with the in-court testimony and other evidence exposed by the special counsel throughout the prosecution that proved the FBI isn’t America’s anymore.

 

After hearing from some 20 witnesses, all but a few testifying for the prosecution, the jury spent a couple of hours on Friday deliberating before the long Memorial Day weekend. Tuesday morning, the 12 jurors returned to the D.C. federal courthouse to continue deliberations. But after requesting to see a copy of Sussmann’s taxi receipt and one of the whitepapers Sussmann peddled to Baker, they delivered their verdict of “not guilty.”

 

In total, then, the jury did not even deliberate for a full day, which means not one of the 12 jurors pushed the other 11 to wade through the detailed evidence presented by the special counsel’s office. After a deeper dive on the impeachment debacle, the webs of corruption are more intertwined than I thought. Ukraine is the keystone. Ukraine has the goods on EVERYTHING.

I used to think Trump would be openly reinstated after the states withdrew their fraudulent electoral votes. Now, I can't find much of a reason for Mr. Prager to lie, and so out of curiosity decided to Google and find more information on Rob Schnek. If you do enough digging, you can also find some statements from Sarah Weddington that she had to be careful with R v W because she didn't always feel like Norma was always telling the truth and had to be sure to only present information that she should could confirm.

 

The more I try to piece together the history of this case, the more sketched out I am about Norma in general. Something seems pretty off with her and her involvement in all of this. Oh, and at the end of it all, she got two book deals to tell her story. Why do they always get book deals? Something doesn't feel on the up-and-up here.

Israeli 'opposition' planning to disperse Knesset, holding elections

 

Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is spearheading an attempt by the "opposition" to disperse the Knesset, and the camp will bring a draft resolution for a vote on the matter on Wednesday, which will also entail holding fresh elections, Israeli media reported on Monday.

 

The former premier has been very vocal about his plans of toppling Bennett's cabinet, forcing the Israeli occupation into fresh elections, and possibly returning as Prime Minister for the third time. He held this post from 1996 to 1999 and then from 2009 until June 2021.

 

The legislation would need a majority of 61 MKs out of the body's 120 members to pass.

 

It is unlikely that the Likud has already decided to propose the bill for a preliminary vote this week, according to Israeli Channel 12, as the bloc wants to ensure that the bill would pass, otherwise, his plans on toppling Naftali Bennett's government would be suspended. Netanyahu, and anyone else for that matter, would be unable to propose a similar bill for another six months.

 

Netanyahu's Likud had planned on bringing the bill for a vote last month, but it postponed the proposal after the Ra'am party went back to the Bennett-Lapid coalition in the Knesset. Ra'am's decision deprived the opposition of having a simple majority that would have allowed for the passing of the bill.

 

With former Yamina member Nir Orbach pledging to vote against any bill aimed at toppling the government after leaving the party last week, the "opposition's" chances at securing a majority for their bill are incredibly low.

 

Orbach could have to go back on his promise and support the bill, according to reports.

 

However, in addition to Orbach, Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked has said she was also opposed to the amendment to "Israel's semi-constitutional Basic Laws" authored by Israeli "Justice" Minister Gideon Sa'ar.

 

This comes amid reports that Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is under pressure from his coalition partners to propose a bill that would bar any MK charged with a "serious crime" from becoming Prime Minister, which is clearly aimed at Benjamin Netanyahu.

 

If the said bill passes in the Knesset, former premier Benjamin Netanyahu would be barred from ever assuming the premiership again, Channel 12 reported.

 

The proposed amendment would block any lawmaker indicted for a crime that holds a minimum sentence of three years and "moral turpitude" from being tasked by the president with forming a cabinet.

 

The coalition led by Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett had taken a hit, becoming a minority in Parliament after legislator Ghaida Rinawie Zoabi dropped out of the Knesset in late May for several reasons. She mainly cited the Israeli occupation police brutality perpetrated against Palestinians at journalist Shireen Abu Akleh's funeral.

 

The Meretz party MK leaving Bennett's coalition set it back to 59 out of 120 seats in the Knesset, making the coalition a minority, though that does not necessarily mean that the alliance is on the verge of collapse.

 

Shireen Abu Akleh, famed Al Jazeera journalist and veteran reporter, was murdered on May 11 when Israeli occupation forces storming the Jenin refugee camp, occupied West Bank, shot her with a live bullet to the head as she was covering the events of the storming.

The remaining four counts of the indictment concerned Danchenko’s alleged lies about his supposed conversation with the then-President of the Russian-American Chamber of Commerce. According to the indictment, Danchenko told FBI agents on multiple occasions—thus the four counts—that he believed Millian had provided him information during an anonymous phone call, including the “intel,” later included in the Steele dossier, that there was “a well-developed ‘conspiracy of cooperation’ between the Trump Campaign and Russian officials.”

 

But Danchenko never spoke with Millian and Millian was not a source for Danchenko nor the Steele dossier, as Millian has long maintained. Millian will not comment further, telling The Federalist that Durham’s team requested he “not talk to the press about details of the investigation.”

 

Get Those Subpoenas Enforced

 

Some of those details will likely be made public, however, when pre-trial filings begin to hit the docket in the case against Danchenko. With the October 11, 2022, trial date only about four months away, one could anticipate various filings to flow in soon. But following the court’s ruling in United States v. Sussmann that the special counsel waited too long to challenge documents withheld from the grand jury based on the Clinton campaign’s assertion of attorney-client privilege, Durham’s team should move next week to enforce any subpoenas.

 

In the Sussmann case, on April 6, 2022, the special counsel filed a Motion to Compel documents withheld from the grand jury to be produced to the court in camera. On May 4, 2022, presiding judge Christopher Cooper ordered Fusion GPS to provide the court 38 documents sought by the special counsel’s office to allow the court to determine whether they were protected by attorney-client privilege. Then, on May 12, 2022, the court ruled that emails between Fusion GPS and the press “as part of an affirmative media relations effort by the Clinton Campaign” were not privileged and must be provided to prosecutors.

 

The court, however, further ruled that because the special counsel waited “until April 6, 2022, just over a month before trial was set to begin,” to challenge the privilege, “allowing the Special Counsel to use these documents at trial would prejudice Mr. Sussmann’s defense.” Accordingly, while the special counsel’s office obtained access to the documents, they could not use those documents during the prosecution of Sussmann.

 

To ensure prosecutors both have access to all material documents and the ability to use any relevant documents during the Danchenko trial, the special counsel’s office should move quickly to obtain any material previously withheld by Fusion GPS under the auspices of attorney-client privilege. In total, as the court explained in the Sussmann case, Fusion GPS withheld “approximately 1500 documents” from the grand jury, but the judge only considered privilege for 38 documents prosecutors sought access to in its case against the former Clinton campaign manager.

 

What’s Inside Those Documents

 

The details contained in Danchenko’s indictment, coupled with the content of various emails between Fusion GPS and reporters, suggest some of the 1,500 documents withheld will concern Danchenko’s supposed intel, even though Danchenko was one step removed from Fusion GPS, having been brought into the Russia collusion smear project by Steele.

 

The indictment, for instance, notes that on “July 28, 2016, Danchenko sent a message to an acquaintance” stating, “Thanks to my reporting in the past 36 hours, Steele and Steele’s assistant are flying in tomorrow for a few days so I might be busy.” That same day the FBI’s New York Field Office received two of Steele’s election reports.

 

July 28, 2016, is also the date the FBI received the “tip” from the Australian diplomat that George Papadopoulos “had received some kind of suggestion from Russia that it could assist . . . with the anonymous release of information during the campaign that would be damaging to [Hillary] Clinton.” That “tip” purportedly formed the basis for opening Crossfire Hurricane.

By now, you may have heard that the Supreme Court has ruled on NYSRPA vs. Bruen, and anti-Second Amendment advocates are less than pleased.

 

For groups like the NRA, though, it’s a different matter entirely.

 

Fairfax, Va. – The National Rifle Association (NRA) welcomes the Supreme Court’s decision in NYSRPA v. Bruen. The Court affirmed that the right to bear arms does not stop at a person’s front door. This is the most significant Second Amendment ruling in more than a decade.

 

“This is another landmark win for constitutional freedom and the NRA,” says Wayne LaPierre, executive vice president of the NRA. “The decision comes at an important time – as the Senate considers legislation that undermines Second Amendment freedom. This decision unequivocally validates the position of the NRA and should put lawmakers on notice: no law should be passed that impinges this individual freedom. It also confronts a troubling problem with the Senate legislation – underscoring that these freedoms should not be left to “unguided” discretion of state and federal officials. Second Amendment freedoms belong to the people.”

 

LaPierre adds, “Decades of Right-to-Carry laws all across America have proven that good men and women are not the problem. This ruling will bring life-saving justice to law-abiding Americans who have lived under unconstitutional restrictions all across our country, particularly in cities and states with revolving door criminal justice systems, no cash bail and increased opposition to law-enforcement.”

 

The NRA has been focused on promoting “shall-issue” protocols and eliminating “may-issue” laws since the late 1980s, and before today’s decision, only six states and the District of Columbia still operated under “may-issue” statutes. The Supreme Court’s ruling today marks the end of these subjective, unconstitutional permitting schemes.

 

“This is a monumental win for NRA members and for gun owners across the country. New York’s egregious law, which left its residents’ self-defense rights to the whim of a government bureaucrat, has been declared unconstitutional and must be changed. New Yorkers will soon be able to defend themselves outside of their homes without first having to prove that they have a sufficient “need” to exercise their fundamental rights,” said Jason Ouimet, executive director, National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA). “This is more than just a great day for New York because this ruling opens the door to rightly change the law in the seven remaining jurisdictions that still don’t recognize the right to carry a firearm for personal protection. The NRA has been at the forefront of this movement for over 30 years and was proud to bring this successful challenge to New York’s unconstitutional law.”

 

The case challenged New York’s requirement that applicants for concealed carry licenses demonstrate “proper cause” to carry a firearm outside of their home. New York routinely used this requirement to deny law-abiding citizens the ability to properly protect themselves. New York is one of six states and the District of Columbia that operate under such a “may issue” regime, and the NRA has long fought to abolish this practice in favor of “shall issue” or “constitutional carry” in which law-abiding citizens can exercise their right to carry as long as they meet certain objective criteria.

 

While the importance of this case cannot be understated and today NRA members enjoy a well-deserved victory, NRA remains committed to continuing this fight. Today’s ruling established the right to carry does not disappear at a person’s front door, but many unconstitutional gun control laws remain in America. The NRA will continue to fight these laws until every law-abiding American can exercise their right to defend themselves and their families with the firearm of their choosing.
