Because people follow fictional law and think it's a great idea. It makes them feel safe, despite it not stopping crimes.

People also follow ridiciulous mask rules and let other people inject poison into their bodies. In fact (legally) even sign their (fictional) rights away. Logically that makes no sense.

 

You can't actually even follow "the (fictional) law". I guarantee that you break some obscure (fictional) law somewhere and if someone wants you in jail, they can do so.

 

Isn't it also weird that for tons of laws you are supposed to pay fiat money. This means these laws can be ignored by the rich folk.
