The source has confirmed several aspects of the case, while shedding light on different areas.
Regarding Sheriff Mike Smith: “He is well-respected in the community and this is NOT a political hit piece”.
Regarding County Attorney David Leavitt: ” By having that press conference and mentioning himself, his wife, and cannibalism, he violated every law protocol. The source also stated “that by holding said press conference, Leavitt contaminated the case and diminished any future witnesses that may come forward. This had to be his intent, otherwise it made no sense.” The source continued speaking about Leavitt, saying ” there were rumors circulating about Leavitt concerning parties and kids over the years”.
Regarding the media covering Utah County: ” They are scared. They are chilled to go against him. I don’t know why. The media has heard the same rumors.”
Regarding the report: “Cannibalism and murder were mentioned in the report which is 151 pages in length.”
Regarding other rumors: ” There are rumors and stories regarding Leavitt. They are beyond Utah County. They are about overseas. There are rumors about the Ukraine, human trafficking and brothels in New York City. “
Regarding The Utah County Commissioners: ” Leavitt owns a lot of people in this community, including the County Commissioners. As a matter of fact, as we speak, Leavitt is meeting with the Commissioners to have Sheriff Mike Smith removed for malfeasance.”
The source said “the child sex abuse case that Sheriff Mike Smith is investigating has legs.” The source has agreed to stay in contact with the BITZ.
