Veteran Phillip Webb,73, was reportedly attacked by VA employee Lawrence F. Gaillard Jr. at the Veterans Affairs Clinic at Fort McPherson in Atlanta.

 

The video was previously hidden from the general public until a FOIA request by reporter Justin Gray brought the video to light.

EASTHAMPTON – City Councilor at-large Lindsey M. Rothschild on Thursday officially announced she will resign from the nine-person body effective June 30.

 

Her term was to expire Dec. 31, 2023.

 

“As a mother of a rising fourth grader and a business owner, I’ve found myself recently very overwhelmed with also meeting my commitment as a city council member and thus have decided to refocus my time and priorities,” she said in a letter dated June 16 to City Council president Homar Gomez.

 

“Thank you for your leadership, President Gomez. Rest assured that, although I will not be at the City Council table with you, I will still be contributing my perspective and time to the City of Easthampton,” Rothschild wrote.

 

She added, “Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from my position as City Councilor at-large for the City of Easthampton effective June 30, 2022. It has been a great honor to serve the City of Easthampton alongside my fellow elected representatives.”

 

Rothschild was first elected to the City Council in November 2019.

— if you search hayden transmission coolers you will be lots of them. the 3 models i use are the 401, 403 and 405. if you like those square fans, those are axial muffin fans. many of those on amazon too

— case fans, here's the low speed one

 

note the unit is all aluminum so it is extremely lightweight (less than 1 pound), and the whole setup uses very little power. the AC fan uses as little as 9 watts and the DC pump is 3.6w so the whole unit runs on less than 15 watts! note that 12v DC computer case fans (of the same physical size) only draw about 5 watts so then you can run the whole setup on less than 10 watts! for off grid use all you need is one 12v (10 watt or higher) solar panel and you're set. if you like the video please rate, like, comment, and share it around

— aluminum or copper work about the same. only real difference is aluminum is lighter and cheaper

— unfortunately all the peltier based water coolers that are currently on the market are not strong enough to make this setup work (or not for long). these radiators overpower there ability to cool the water within a minute or two and the water warms up (then it just blows room temperature air). i wish this wasn't true - but so far all of the videos that i've seen on making 'peltier based' room air coolers are not true. the best that peltier can do is extend the time that the ice lasts.

— Peltiers are horribly inefficient compared to compressor based coolers. They pump out a ton of heat for the cooling the do. You need a pretty large cooler on the peltier, or the cold side starts heating up too.

— Dry ice is -80 C, that would very quickly freeze up the water in the loop.

Commenting on this, the Russian envoy to Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev, said the possible Turkish military operation in northern Syria would create "new security threats" to Turkey, as "the Kurdistan Workers' Party and the SDF will not disappear under this scenario."

 

Lavrentiev added that "Russia will try to convince Turkey of the futility of the possible military operation in northern Syria," stressing that his country "will not fight the Turkish forces and the “National Army" affiliated with Ankara."

Mexican police have arrested aDutch citizen accused of being the leader of an international pedophile ring, Mexico City's attorney general said on Monday.

"A covert operation was carried out that allowed him to be detained in flagrante delicto" at a public transportation station near the central Bosque de Chapultepec park, Godoy added.

 

The prosecutor's office is working on the investigation, which will be presented before a judge, and it has also requested consular assistance to "safeguard his rights as a foreigner," Godoy said.

 

After arresting the suspect, authorities searched the place where he was believed to be staying in the north of the city and said they found photographs featuring child pornography, as well as computers, hard drives, memory cards and two Dutch passports.

 

According to the investigation, the subject had, between 2014 and 2021, promoted various publications on social media that advocated the legalization of sex with children.

The Amadea, a luxurious megayacht that’s nearly as long as a football field and features a helipad, docked in San Diego Monday morning local time, according to vessel data compiled by Bloomberg. It had spent a few days in Honolulu after the US hired a new crew and sailed the superyacht out of Fiji on June 7, flying the American flag after winning a legal battle.

 

The stop in San Diego caps a more than 13,000-nautical-mile odyssey for the vessel as it attempted to find a safe haven, with US agents from multiple government agencies pursuing it. The seizure is a huge win for the US as it looks to punish titans close to President Vladimir Putin by going after their megayachts, villas, and other assets.

 

With the ship now in US hands, authorities from that nation will bear the responsibility for its maintenance, which the Federal Bureau of Investigation has estimated will cost between $25 million to $30 million annually, according to court documents seen by Bloomberg.

 

President Joe Biden has pushed for legislation that’s been passed by lawmakers in the House of Representatives that would allow the US to seize yachts like the Amadea and other assets of sanctioned Russians, liquidate them, and use those funds to benefit Ukraine. The European Union is considering similar measures.

 

Still, there may be risks for buyers of seized yachts, according to Benjamin Maltby, a partner who specializes in superyacht law at London-based Keystone Law.

 

“Buyers need to be aware that certain countries may not necessarily recognize the seizure and transfer of ownership,” said Maltby. “Clearly, the risk is higher for countries that are at odds politically with the West — and these are unlikely to be countries one would wish to cruise to — but it’s something potential buyers should keep in mind.”

In its attempt to blame former President Donald Trump for the crimes committed on January 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol, House Democrats have spent the week focused on Trump’s unsupported claims of widespread election fraud. The Jan. 6 select committee and the legacy media outlets promoting the show trial completely ignore, however, the verifiable evidence of systemic violations of election law, illegal voting, and the constitutionally deficient execution of the November 2020 election—including issues Trump challenged following the election.

 

Georgia provides a peach of an example. President Biden won Georgia and the state’s 16 electoral votes by a margin of 11,779 individual votes, but before the state certified the results of the November 2020 election, Trump challenged the outcome, raising several issues both in and out of court. Trump hammered accusations of fraud in Fulton County, claiming counterfeit ballots secreted in suitcases and vote-flipping by Dominion Voting Systems gave Biden the victory. But Trump also contested the Georgia results based on evidence indicating that tens of thousands of illegal votes were improperly counted.

 

While Trump’s legal team argued illegal votes in some 30-plus categories were improperly included in the final election tally, violations of Section 21-2-218 of the Georgia election code alone closed the gap between the two presidential candidates. That section provides that state “residents must vote in the county in which they reside, unless they changed their residence within 30 days of the election” and “outside of the 30-day grace period, if people vote in a county in which they no longer reside, ‘their vote in that county would be illegal.’”

 

Shortly after the November general election, Mark Davis, the president of Data Productions Inc. and an expert in voter data analytics and residency issues, compared voting records obtained from the Georgia secretary of state’s office with the National Change of Address (NCOA) database. After excluding individuals who moved within 30 days of the general election, Davis “identified nearly 35,000 Georgia voters who indicated they had moved from one Georgia county to another, but then voted in the 2020 general election in the county from which they had moved.”

 

Trump highlighted this evidence during a telephone conversation with Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. His election lawyers, he said, noted from that data they “have actually hard numbers” of tens of thousands of votes that were counted illegally, and that with the margin of victory less than 12,000, “that in and of itself is sufficient to change the results or place the outcome in doubt.”

 

The lawyers explained that they “would like to sit down with your office . . . if you are able to establish that our numbers are not accurate, then fine.” While the secretary of state’s representative indicated he was “happy to get with our lawyers and we’ll set that up,” Cleta Mitchell, one of Trump’s election lawyers, told The Federalist that meeting never happened.

Former White House aide Hope Hicks has agreed to testify next Wednesday behind closed doors, the House Judiciary Committee announced Wednesday.

 

The committee plans to release a transcript of the interview afterward.

 

The scheduled interview with Hicks, a longtime Trump campaign aide and former White House communications director, is the first case where a member of Trump’s inner circle will appear before the committee as part of its investigation into possible obstruction of justice. The first official to be subpoenaed by the panel, former White House counsel Don McGahn, did not appear before the committee last month, prompting a vote in the House this week to go to court to enforce the subpoena.

 

The Judiciary Committee plans to ask questions about Hicks’ time at the White House and during the campaign, according to two sources, but it remains to be seen whether the White House will assert executive privilege to prevent her from answering about her time at White House. Hicks is expected to address executive privilege issues on a question by question basis, one of the sources said.

 

“It is important to hear from Ms. Hicks, who was a key witness for the Special Counsel,” Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler said in a statement. “Ms. Hicks understands that the Committee will be free to pose questions as it sees fit, including about her time on the Trump Campaign and her time in the White House. Should there be a privilege or other objection regarding any question, we will attempt to resolve any disagreement while reserving our right to take any and all measures in response to unfounded privilege assertions.”

 

Last week, the White House directed Hicks and former White House deputy counsel Annie Donaldson not to provide any documents to the committee involving their time at the White House, in what could be a sign of how the White House will respond to questions from the committee next week.

 

The White House cannot claim executive privilege over Hicks’ time in the campaign, so those questions are likely to be fair game without executive privilege issues.

 

Hicks’ testimony, which was first reported by The Washington Post, comes after she was one of five former White House officials the committee authorized subpoenas for earlier this year.

 

The subpoenas, which also went to McGahn and Donaldson, were part of the panel’s sweeping investigation into possible obstruction of justice, corruption and abuse of power, which began with letters requesting documents from 81 individuals and entities.

 

The five officials who were subpoenaed were all significant figures in the Mueller report, and the Judiciary Committee has sought to highlight the special counsel’s findings with hearings as it mulls whether to begin an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump. On Monday, the committee held a hearing with experts, including former Watergate witness John Dean.

Until Wednesday, however, it wasn’t clear whether any of the officials would agree to testify amid the President’s stated intention to fight “all the subpoenas,” although Nadler expressed confidence at Monday’s hearing that his committee would eventually get the witnesses it’s seeking — even if it took going to court to do so.

 

“It is true that fact witnesses have been ordered by the White House not to appear before this committee, but we’ll get them,” Nadler said.

 

Following the House vote Tuesday on a resolution to take the McGahn subpoena to court, Nadler pledged to do the same thing with Hicks and Donaldson if they didn’t comply.

 

But Wednesday’s agreement is the second time this week that the Judiciary panel has struck a deal as part of its probe into Mueller’s findings on obstruction of justice.

 

On Monday, the Justice Department agreed to begin providing the committee with special counsel documents it’s seeking, including FBI notes of interviews and notes from White House officials. The White House will be able to review the materials for executive privilege issues, however, before the committee gets access to them.

 

It’s unclear whether Hicks’ agreement will also lead to an appearance for Donaldson, who was a deputy to McGahn. Unlike Hicks, Donaldson did not work on the Trump campaign and only worked in the White House. The committee included a June 24 deadline in her subpoena.

The state of Colorado has banned people from talking about weddings unless they say only what the state of Colorado demands.

 

When the case of Lorie Smith, a Christian graphic design artist who declined to create websites for same-sex celebrations, goes before the Supreme Court, it won’t be just her rights at stake — and it won’t just be the rights of Christians.

 

Smith says her decision was based on the message, not the person requesting it. “I’ve had the opportunity to create custom designs for clients in all walks of life, including those who identify as LGBT,” Smith said. “For me, it’s never, never, never about the person who requests the design. It’s always about what message they want expressed.”

 

Smith said in a press conference last Thursday that she started her own design studio, 303 Creative, so she could promote causes she believed in, including “a heart for children with special needs, overseas missions, the beauty of marriage, animal shelters, and veterans.” When she wanted to expand her business to include weddings, the state of Colorado would not allow her to do so unless she created websites for same-sex weddings as well.

 

“The Colorado law restricts the fundamental First Amendment rights of Lorie and other business owners like her, and it doesn’t just target Christians only,” Sen.Ted Cruz said. “Consider it this way: Should a Muslim artist be compelled by the government to draw the image of Mohammed? Should Jewish artists be forced to create art that they consider to be antisemitic? Should a Democrat political firm be forced to take on Republican clients? Should left-wing newspaper columnists be forced to write conservative columns? No, no, no, and — as fun as it might be — no.”

 

Cruz and other members of Congress filed an amici curiae brief urging the Supreme Court to take Smith’s case, 303 Creative v. Elenis, which the court did in February. Kristen Waggoner, general counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom, will argue the case before the Supreme Court.

 

Waggoner said a victory in this case deals with different arguments than Jack Phillips’ case, which Waggoner also argued before the Supreme Court. “Free speech and free exercise were in Masterpiece, but the court’s holding was based on free exercise — it didn’t touch the free speech arguments,” Waggoner said. “303 Creative deals with those free speech arguments.”.

 

Waggoner said the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals rule 2-1 against Smith, in spite of facts that the court and both parties agreed on: “First, Lorie’s religious beliefs are sincere, and they guide every aspect of her life,” Waggoner said. “Second, Laurie works with all people, from all walks of life, including those who identify as LGBT. Third, the parties and the lower court agreed that Lorie bases her decisions on the content of the message, not the person requesting it. And lastly, the parties have agreed, and the court below agreed, that Lorie’s speech is protected by the First Amendment because she is communicating a message.”

 

Because the argument is about free speech, the ruling will set precedent for cases that don’t involve religion at all, including the cases of people who oppose Smith’s beliefs.

 

“A win for Lorie in this case is a win for everyone,” Sen. Marsha Blackburn said….

Two killed as helicopter crashes into field in North Yorkshire

Specialist air crash investigators have been despatched to the crash site, while the public have been 'strongly urged' to avoid the area.

 

Two people have died after a helicopter crashed into a field in North Yorkshire.

 

An investigation is underway into why the aircraft came down near Burton in Lonsdale - the cause is currently unknown.

 

Emergency services rushed to the scene off Bentham Road after the helicopter crashed shortly before midday.

 

North Yorkshire Police confirmed later on Monday afternoon that two people were killed as a result.

 

Their families are being supported by specially trained officers, the force added.

 

No one else is believed to have been on board.

 

Aerial pictures of the scene appear to show the burned wreckage of the helicopter, as emergency services work nearby.

 

People have been "strongly urged" to avoid the area.

 

Sky News North of England correspondent Frazer Maude, close to the scene, said a large area around the crash site has been cordoned off as the investigation continues.

 

"As I say, we believe that this helicopter crashed shortly after take-off.

 

"We're not sure whether that was due to pilot error or mechanical failure. It could have been any number of things.

 

"At the moment, it seems as though it's pretty perfect conditions today, very clear skies, no significant wind or anything like that.

 

"So the two main causes, I would imagine, that the air accident investigators are looking into will either pilot error or mechanical failure."

 

He said he spoke to a local farmer who saw a plume of smoke going into the sky, but did not hear the crash.
