there are pros and cons to each of the gender roles of men and women.
the breaking down of the gender roles has been one sided and supported by culture, law, and bias: the negative aspects of the traditional female role have lessened for women as men have taken on that reponsability. in compensation, the positive aspects of the traditional male role have lessened for men as women have won right to receive those benefits. However, there has been very little exchange of the negative aspects of the traditional male role or the positive aspects of the traditional female role.
The pros for men have been exchanged for the cons for women. Not pros for pros or cons for cons. Men now are charged with a majority of the cons for both sexes and women with the majority of pros for both sexes, which is counterintuitively a con as the absolute weight of so much benefits becomes a burden.
