We have a lot of small airfields where the retirees fly in/out of. They don't have towers, they are VFR, you call out your position etc. for those in the area listening but 9x out of 10, there's no response. Unless you listen to the radio around here you wouldn't know fake president is 10 miles away from you. Elon Musk Sued for $258 Billion Over Alleged Dogecoin Pyramid Scheme

 

NEW YORKโ€”Elon Musk was sued for $258 billion on Thursday by a Dogecoin investor who accused him of running a pyramid scheme to support the cryptocurrency.

 

In a complaint filed in federal court in Manhattan, plaintiff Keith Johnson accused Musk, electric car company Tesla Inc. and space tourism company SpaceX of racketeering for touting Dogecoin and driving up its price, only to then let the price tumble.

 

Musk is CEO of both Tesla and SpaceX.

 

โ€œDefendants were aware since 2019 that Dogecoin had no value yet promoted Dogecoin to profit from its trading,โ€ the complaint said. โ€œMusk used his pedestal as Worldโ€™s Richest man to operate and manipulate the Dogecoin Pyramid Scheme for profit, exposure, and amusement.โ€

 

The complaint also aggregates comments from Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, and others questioning the value of cryptocurrency.

 

Tesla, SpaceX, and a lawyer for Musk did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

 

A lawyer for Johnson did not immediately respond to requests for comment on what specific evidence his client has or expects to have that proves Dogecoin is worthless and the defendants ran a pyramid scheme.

 

Johnson is seeking $86 billion in damages, representing the decline in Dogecoinโ€™s market value since May 2021, and wants it tripled.

 

He also wants to block Musk and his companies from promoting Dogecoin and a judge to declare that trading Dogecoin is gambling under federal and New York law.

 

The complaint said Dogecoinโ€™s selloff began around the time Musk hosted the NBC show โ€œSaturday Night Live and, playing a fictitious financial expert on a โ€œWeekend Updateโ€ segment, called Dogecoin โ€œa hustle.โ€

 

Tesla in February 2021 said it had bought $1.5 billion of bitcoin and for a short time accepted it as payment for vehicles.

Shrinkflation isnโ€™t new. But it proliferates in times of high inflation as companies grapple with rising costs for ingredients, packaging, labor, and transportation. 88 Arrested, 58 Guns Seized During โ€˜Largest-Everโ€™ Gang Takedown in California County

 

Authorities in Stockton, California, arrested nearly 90 people while also seizing dozens of guns in a massive multi-agency gang takedown targeting violent street gangs and a recent increase in firearm-related activities in the area.

 

Tori Verber Salazar, the district attorney of San Joaquin County, touted the mission, dubbed โ€œOperation Hybrid Havoc,โ€ as the most successful crime operation that has ever been conducted in the county.

 

The investigation had been going on for the past year and picked up steam in the fall. It has been described as the largest gang bust of its kind in the countyโ€™s history. Over its course, agents executed 24 search warrants and 19 arrest warrants.

 

During a news conference on June 2, Salazar said officials arrested 88 alleged gang members on felony charges and confiscated 58 firearms, including 12 โ€œghost gunsโ€โ€”unregistered firearms often built using a 3D printer.

 

โ€œWeโ€™re proud of the sheer amount of crime prevention that came from this operation,โ€ the district attorney said. โ€œDue to collaborated effort from the agencies, they literally stopped murder from occurring.โ€

 

Two homicides were also solved as a result of the investigation, bringing justice to affected families, officials said. One attempted homicide and four shootings were prevented as well as part of the operation.

 

One of the homicides included the murder of 31-year-old Mark Scott, a special education teacher at Pulliam Elementary School and a baseball coach at Edison High School.

 

In addition, law enforcement officials seized nearly $24,000 in cash and confiscated 959 grams of XTC, 394 grams of cocaine, 98 grams of methamphetamine, 73 grams of heroin, 3.8 pounds of illegal marijuana, and 54 grams of fentanyl, the San Joaquin County District Attorneyโ€™s Office said in a June 2 news release.

 

โ€œEvery gram, every speck, every pill of fentanyl is as dangerous as a bullet because it can take the life of an individual in a second,โ€ said Salazar.

 

Stan McFadden, Stocktonโ€™s police chief, described some of the individuals that were arrested as โ€œvery dangerous people,โ€ also listing a number of gangs with which those arrested were allegedly affiliated. The list includes the โ€œNorthside Gangster Crips,โ€ โ€œMuddy Boyz,โ€ โ€œWest-Side Bloodz,โ€ and the โ€œNightingale Bloodz.โ€

 

Officials confirmed that a total of 48 individuals have already been charged as part of the operation. The ages of the suspects range from as young as 18 to as old as 60.

 

โ€œThis community deserves the opportunity to thrive and flourish, and today the people of San Joaquin County are safer with these organized criminal elements off the streets,โ€ said Salazar. โ€œThose who commit harm, violence, and jeopardize the safety of this community will be held accountable.โ€

 

Stockton Mayor Kevin Lincoln celebrated the results of the gang takedown, expressing his gratitude to all the agencies involved.

 

โ€œEnough is enough,โ€ Lincoln said. โ€œWe have to protect the residents of this city. We have to protect the future of this city, and thatโ€™s our young people, our community. The New York State legislature voted Thursday to ban anyone under the age of 21 from buying or even possessing a semi-automatic rifle

The bill would also require anyone buying a semi-automatic rifle to get a license - which is now only required in New York State for handguns

It is part of a larger package of gun control measures, which also includes restricting civilian purchases of bullet-resistant armor

Other bills would require new guns to be equipped with microstamping technology that can help law enforcement trace bullets

The move comes less than three weeks since an 18-year-old used two semi-automatic weapons to shoot up a supermarket in Buffalo

A group of Hispanic investors with backing from leftist billionaire George Soros have purchased 18 radio stations across 10 cities. The deal was worth roughly $60 million.

 

The group was founded by former Obama staffer Stephanie Valencia and campaign veteran Jess Morales Rocketto, who worked for both former President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

 

Acquired stations will now form the Latino Media Network (LMN) and will be led by Valencia. LMN stated it has secured financing from โ€œleading Latino investorsโ€ as well as Lakestar Finance, an investment group associated with George Soros.

 

Now, after securing more than $80 million in funding, the project is set to launch.

 

โ€œWe believe in the power and reach of radio and it remains a main source of media for a significant number of our community,โ€ Rocketto told NBC News. โ€œWe hope to create relevant content for radio and other audio platforms with content that our community can trust and rely on.โ€

 

One of the stations included in the deal is Radio Mambi, a conservative talk radio station in Miami, Florida, that Democrats have long accused of spreading โ€œmisinformationโ€ among Hispanic communities, according to The Washington Examiner. Radio Mambi has long been known as a staunch anti-communist network, particularly among Cuban exiles.

 

The newly Soros-acquired AM and FM radio stations are located in 10 of the countryโ€™s largest Latino markets, including Miami, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Houston and Las Vegas.

 

โ€œLatinos are constantly trying to navigate the ocean of information. In some cases that is disinformation, in some cases that is very one-sided communication,โ€ Stephanie Valencia said in a statement.

 

The sales must still meet Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approval before LMN can fully operate the stations. That process could last well into 2023, Floridaโ€™s WLRN reported.

No sequence of digital exposures was used to construct the remarkable image though. Using a pinhole camera fixed to face south during the period June 26, 2021 to June 26, 2022, the image was formed directly on a single sheet of photographic paper, a technique known as solargraphy. The three analemmas are the result of briefly exposing the photo paper through the pinhole each day at 11:00, 12:00, and 13:00 CET. Groups of dashed lines on the sides show partial tracks of the Sun from daily exposures made every 15 minutes. Over the year-long solargraphic photo opportunity clouds blocking the Sun during the pinhole exposures created the dark gaps.

Sixteen unvaccinated health-care workers who were placed on unpaid leave last fall are suing the Manitoba government and multiple health authorities over the province's mandatory COVID-19 vaccination and testing policies.

 

In a statement of claim filed June 23, the group claims the policy violated their charter rights because it forced them to disclose private health information about their COVID-19 vaccination status under the threat of disciplinary measures or losing their livelihood.

 

The lawsuit names the attorneys general of Manitoba and Canada, Dr. Brent Roussin, the chief provincial public health officer, and the regional health authorities as defendants.

 

The claim says the policy violates several charter rights, including the workers' right to liberty as it interferes with their personal autonomy by limiting their ability to control their own physical and psychological health.

Significant mental anguish: claim

The workers say they lost their primary source of income as a result, and were also ineligible for unemployment benefits, causing significant mental anguish.

 

"They are left to contemplate whether or not they will have the funds available to meet their basic needs, including the purchase of food, clothing and shelter for themselves and their families," the statement of claim says.

 

The group is asking for up to $1.5 million each in damages. They are being represented by Alberta-based lawyer Leighton Grey.

 

The policy was announced in August 2021 in response to the threat of the more contagious delta variant and took effect on Oct. 18, 2021. Paramedics, home-care workers and people working with child and family services were covered by the policy.

 

Data provided by Shared Health showed that 176 unvaccinated health-care workers were place on unpaid leave as of Oct. 21, 2021, four days after the policy came into effect.

 

The policy was lifted on March 1 of this year after the province ended its vaccine mandates.

 

A spokesperson for the province said their position will be laid out in court.

Not one of the leftists who have spent years harassing Supreme Court justices with protests outside the court and even their homes has been sent off to prison. Nor will they. Pounding on the doors of the Supreme Court, marching around the homes of justices, and trying to prevent them from coming to court have become basic parts of the activist playbook.

 

Even after the Kavanaugh assassination plot, leftists are continuing to protest outside his home.

The ad is a crass and inappropriate attempt at celebrating Juneโ€™s Pride Month. It is not an ad campaign that represents the inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community, as it focuses on gay men only and excludes most of the remainder of the group in focus.

 

Whatโ€™s more disturbing is that the ad focuses on a sexual act rather than the sexual identity of the persons for whom it was intended. It is proof of the over-sexualized nature of culture today.

 

The disturbing ad, which was posted on Twitter, was met with criticism almost immediately. The flurry of replies, memes, and outcry reached hundreds.

 

One user replied, โ€œWell I was thinking about ordering some food, but I suddenly lost my appetite for some reason.โ€

 

Another said, โ€œWhat. The. Fck. Did. I. Just. Watch. โ€“ deleting Postmates app.โ€

 

There were calls to delete the app and no longer use the food delivery service, now owned by the ride-sharing company Uber. Many users pointed out the lack of representation for the remainder of the LGBTQ+ community.

 

Postmates has continued to stand by its ad, replying to users on twitter, saying, โ€œWeโ€™re tired of heterosexual sex being the main focus of sexual education. Homosexual sex, specifically bottoming, is all too often omitted and stigmatized. Not this year. Happy Pride!โ€

 

Again, their defense was met with steep criticism, including a wave of users sharing their choice to delete the app from their devices and discontinue using the service.

According to Israeli media, US President Joe Biden plans to meet with Israeli opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu during his upcoming visit to "Israel".

 

The meeting was not originally planned, but it has been added to Biden's itinerary in response to Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's decision to dissolve the Knesset, forcing "Israel" to hold early elections.

 

The Knesset voted unanimously to dissolve in a preliminary reading of a law anticipated to be approved this week, after which Foreign Minister Yair Lapid will lead an interim government in place of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.

 

According to a source familiar with the situation, the US wants to avoid the image that it is meddling with elections

 

Lapid will meet Biden at Ben Gurion Airport on July 13 and will have additional meetings with him throughout the trip, according to a US official. Bennett will also meet with Biden, with whom he has developed a "friendship" over the past year.

 

Lapid and Biden are said to have met only once previously, in 2013, when Lapid was finance minister and Biden was vice president.

 

Biden and Netanyahu have a long history together, although with occasional political disagreements. Netanyahu clashed with former US President Barack Obama, who appointed Biden as Vice President.

 

Biden is expected to visit "Israel" on July 14-15 and Saudi Arabia on July 15-16. His visit to the latter will include a meeting with the Kingdom's de facto leader, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

 

After announcing his visit, Biden stated that his visit is primarily to address "Israel's security issues."

The United States is currently under โ€œinvasionโ€ at its southern border, according to Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), who called to reject funding a government that refuses to secure the border, pass his discharge petition to preserve the policy that helps border officials regulate the inflow of illegal immigration, and have the Lone Star State โ€œstand upโ€ in the fight to protect the border.

 

Claiming the establishment in Washington โ€œdoesnโ€™t like to sign discharge petitions,โ€ Rep. Chip Roy, appearing on the Dana Show with Dana Loesch Wednesday, first suggested that with another six to eight Democrats joining, enough signatures could be garnered to allow for moving a bill on the House floor.

 

In general, โ€œthe Speaker sets the agenda and that means the Speaker decides what comes up on the floor,โ€ he said.

 

However, he noted an exception.

 

โ€œTwo hundred eighteen signatures on a discharge petition to move a bill means we can move a bill on the floor,โ€ he said. โ€œSo we need six, seven, [or] eight Democrats to join us to get up to 218 signatures.โ€

 

โ€œAnd so the media should ask every Democrat: โ€˜Why wonโ€™t you sign this discharge petition?โ€™โ€ he said.

 

The Texas Republican also called to stop funding the government.

 

โ€œ[On] September 30, the government funding runs out,โ€ he said. โ€œWell, weโ€™ve got now five and a half months and we should fight and say, โ€˜Do not fund a government that refuses to secure the border.โ€™โ€

 

โ€œLetโ€™s have that fight,โ€ he added, though sensing Republicans would โ€œrun awayโ€ from the notion.

 

According to Rep. Roy, a shutdown is most appropriate under current circumstances.

The explosive court filings, first reported by Splinter News, allege that prior to Millerโ€™s high-profile extramarital relationship with A.J. Delgado โ€” another Trump campaign staffer โ€” he had an affair with an unnamed woman he met at Rachelโ€™s Gentlemanโ€™s Club, an Orlando strip club.

When the dancer found out she was pregnant, Miller allegedly dosed her drink with an abortion pill, without her knowledge, according to the court documents.

 

The pill caused the woman to wind up in the emergency room โ€œbleeding heavily and nearly went into a coma,โ€ the documents state. She was hospitalized for two days with โ€œthe abortion pill possibly reacting with potential street drugs in her systemโ€ at the time she drank the smoothie, according to the documents.

 

When the alleged relationship began in 2012 Miller was working for the prominent Republican ad firm Jamestown Associates.

 

The court documents were filed Sept. 14 in Miami-Dade Circuit Court as part of an ongoing custody battle between Miller and Delgado. With the allegations entered into court record, Delgado asked for Miller to undergo psychological evaluation, saying she fears for their sonโ€™s safety.

 

โ€œIโ€™m concerned for my safety (more importantly, my sonโ€™s) with Miller and afraid of his reaction if I add comment,โ€ she said to Splinter News.

 

Delgado conceived a son during an affair that began when she and married Miller were both working on the 2016 campaign. At the time, Millerโ€™s wife was also pregnant with their second daughter.

 

In December of that year, President-elect Trump announced that he would be appointing Miller as his communications director, but Miller backed out two days later, saying he wanted to spend more time with his family.

 

In a series of tweets Saturday, Miller decried the filing as false, calling it part of Delgadoโ€™s โ€œcontinuous attempts to smear me.โ€ He accused Delgado of having mental and emotional issues and promised to clear his name and hold Delgado and Splinter accountable.

IS claims Sikh temple attack in Kabul

 

The Islamic State (IS) claimed Sunday responsibility for the attack against a Sikh temple in Afghanistan earlier this week. The attack left two dead and around seven injured. IS has committed a series of attacks across Afghanistan in hopes of creating further rifts amongst the ranks of citizens.

 

Gunmen stormed a Sikh temple in Kabul on Saturday, hurling at least one grenade, killing two and injuring seven others, according to the interior ministry and witnesses.

 

While the number of bombings in Afghanistan has decreased since the hasty US withdrawal in August, several deadly attacks have occurred in recent months.

 

Since reclaiming power in the country in August 2021, the Taliban movement has been battling a local chapter of IS, which is believed to be responsible for the majority of terrorist attacks and bomb explosions in Afghanistan.

 

The presence of IS in the country is minimal, and the movement has been working to eliminate the group, according to the Taliban.
